Something that is weird about this movie is that in the first episode, there was already a zombie outbreak everyone forgot and second is that the transport of an intelligent zombie is left to be really insecured.

I'm confused by part of this plot line. They're about to drop a nuclear bomb in a zombified Las Vegas and yet they have not evacuated the quarantine camps surrounding the city?

They didn't care about the camps. There was a lot of racism implied and outright displayed, and many of the people in the camp weren't white.

Military probably had build some hidden anti-air defenses around the walls to stop anyone to try enter and take something from inside. They abandoned or transported those defenses few hours before the nuke striked.
