- I grabbed Morgott’s Cursed Sword early to see if it’s 1.09 buff has made it a viable PVE alternative to Bloodhounds Fang.

1.09.1 hotfix just came out, fixed buff stuff but - Decreased the poise damage of the Cursed-Blood Slice Skill
i was planning on doing this build how much does the skill nerf affect this run?

Get the sword of st trina, sleep pots and that's literally it, want to be a total nap time master go get the crossbow up mt gelmir and make sleep bolts. Have fun pissing everyone off in pvp if you use it 😆

You should make a crucible knight build sometime, definitely my favourite build all around, ordorvis’ vortex and siluria’s woe have got to be the most fun AOWs up there with great ones like ancient lightning spear and others. The incantations are great and the armour is stylish and useful, and it all comes with one big bonus, it feels like it perfectly counters malenia’s moveset.

A nice tip for this run is grabbing the Ritual Shield Talisman near the colosseum since you are in the capital for Godfrey and Morgott
lovely vid man. I personally think that this weapons art is the best looking one out of the whole game. I personally would like to see a malenia cosplay run. Using her incantation seems like a good challange but fun, also looks great and her weapon also looks interesting. I requested this some time ago. I would really like to see it one day. Have a good one mate
Problem with that is you can't get any of her stuff without actually beating her. She's at the end of the game too. Unless it was new game+ it wouldn't be a run. Unless you call Farum Azula and the last bosses a run lol

Please do Marais Executioner sword. You can get in the very beginning (especially with your parrying) and it is nuts. So fun to use and very powerful

Also, I believe the trigger for Alexander in Gelmir is because he’s at the Radan fight…so technically he fought with you as a spirit summon, whether he’s actually been summoned or not, because he’s collecting warrior parts after the fight.
4:58, the most reliable way I've found to do this is with a partner. They set a timer for 3 secs and turn it on just as you drink your physick, then alert you to swing just before the 3 secs runs out. My son and I have got it down to a science, if one of us wants to go to Leyndell early for loot we team up :)
3:53 If you'd like, you can always dip by Fort Haight for the Blood Grease recipe and some bloodroses. You can get some root resin pretty easily by Warmaster's Shack (Bernahl) :)

Would love to see you do a guard counter build. I know it's different from your typical type of playstyle, but they've been buffed in patch 1.09 as well.
Also, Morgot's Cursed Sword does pure physical damage. It's only the weapon art that has fire damage.
You mentioned a spells only int/faith build in another video, I'm assuming you're going to be focussing on death spells, magma/thorn sorceries and fundamentalist incantations for that one (could very well be wrong though!). I'd like to suggest something along similar lines that I think that I think is really cool, if you're ok with going up to around rl150. If you get the minimum stats for every spell in the game, it's 70int, 50fth, 17arc, and using the physick plus appropriate catalysts they can all be cast at max power. So with access to every spell in the game you could try to find the best spell to absolutely bully each individual boss. It's a playthrough I had a lot of fun with, and I think would make for a great video!

A quick tip for the lenydell skip:
Do NOT use a 'long' weapon on your main hand - just tried about 6 six times with a spear for a particular run, decided to switch to my dagger (with my trusty golden vow) and got it on my first try lol
Really wanting a katana run, mooviel or nagakiba are my favorite. Or maybe any powerstance build.
The amusing thing about this video is that Morgott’s cursed sword scales almost exclusively with dex, but even though you didn’t know that and leveled arcane instead, it’s still a really good weapon.

Build idea: Str/Arcane with Regalia of Echoaid and Marais Executioner Sword, my personal favorite weapons because of the crazy ash of war.
I would just like seeing the amount of damage you could do against main bosses in NG because I've only done a build like this in NG+.

P.S.: There is a skip to get to regalia of echoaid early, wich is a nice replacement until you beat Marais, the executioner.

alexanders quest passivley porgresses with the character up to mt gelmir so he will be there regardless they made npc quests a lot easier in additional games

i think the reason why you get to skip the Liurna part of Alexandar's quest, is because storywise he goes to Mt. Gelmir to train after the Radahn fight

Ok, so I actually did this build before Thingfishy told me about it, and I have some thoughts. First, Dex > Arc for this weapon (I found 50 dex, 40 arc to be a reasonable split). Yes, your bleed build up will be lower, but in PVE, this isn't an issue. You'll still get your bleed proc, and this isn't a weapon that requires consistent bleed procs to kill. You only need to trigger Lord of Blood's Exultation. To that end, mixing in the Bloodflame Talon incant in between weapon arts can really help with additional bleed build up, and it's a pretty quick cast, typically allowing you to get 2 off in a window where you'd probably only realistically be able to get a single charged attack anyways. I also abused Carian Filigreed Crest so I could spam cast the otherwise pretty expensive weapon art. Also, if you want some Elden Bling in addition to being functional, go with Bull-Goat greaves and gauntlets along with Niall's helm and then a med-light chest piece (I used the Champion's Pauldron, as I started with the Hero class). The horn motif on the gloves and helm fit the whole Morgott theme pretty well. Combine this with the Bull-Goat Talisman, and you will actually be able to poise through just about anything to cast that weapon art, and have enough defensive stats to not die if you do get stuck in a cast. Combine with Shard of Alexander for a hilariously OP PVE build that actually does transition pretty well into PVP. With that setup, I was able to stunlock Malenia pretty effectively using only the Dex tear for a bit of extra scaling and my entirely 100% necessary Twiggy Cracked tear, because I had a bunch of runes when I fought her. But it didn't matter, because I beat her on my first attempt anyways, which is the first time I've been able to do this in 13 playthrus. Morgott's > Bloodhound, confirmed.

i know this video's been out for a while now, but i just want to add that morgott's sword doesn't actually do any fire damage. the weapon art deals a bit of fire damage, but the rest of the moveset is purely slash damage

Been using Bloodhound Fang the whole game. When 2 handing, it does a ridiculous amount of damage. I have enough FP to just spam the weapon art.

It’s not, unfortunately. Very suprised there hasn’t been a hot fix for that. Only broken for spells so still works on the last couple. Had to delay a couple of spell builds until it’s fixed. Thanks for watching!
