I’m so glad this helped a bit…overthinking used to get me too and I found that when I changed my mindset from “I have to make something “ to one of play/curiosity…it made a huge difference!
Hi Soraya, what do you keep the layered pictures for? Do you always add people after? When u do add figures, it's such a useful way to costume them bcos the patterns are already laid down! I can't always think how to decorate the robes 😢
Hi there! I use these as backgrounds for my figures and yes, I usually paint ladies in my art. I sometimes use the patterns for hair/face/neck or dresses…it just depends on the particular piece. This is my first layer so I’ll add more layers/collage etc. If you’re having difficulty figuring out what to put on your robes, a great exercise is to strengthen and become more aware of your visual language. I have a video I made a couple of months ago .. th-cam.com/video/r60HY1zLyCU/w-d-xo.html That may be helpful? Let me know!
These poster paints are from Mexico…I purchased them when I was in Oaxaca on an art retreat with Connie Solera. I’ll get the name for you. Dirt cheap over there but more pricey if you were to purchase them here, I think.
You are a fantastic teacher..so happy to see you on this platform. Very inspiring❤
Ann! Friend…I’m so glad to see you here. Thank you so much for your kindness & support🥰
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for encouraging me to not overthink and enjoy the process ❤
