Thanks for showing respect. For me it was a bit shocking to see that whole stadium whistled during our anthem. It is true that in Trnava some small bunch of idiots did it, but certainly not the whole stadium and not the whole anthem. This was a bit sad to see counting how I love Hungary and how many friends I have from there..

The slavic tribes that lived in the Carpathian basis in the 9-10th century has been assimilated by the hungarians very fast. The slavic tribes that lived in the Carpathian basis in the 9-10th century has been assimilated by the hungarians very fast. I've read a lot of stupid and malicious writings here (probably from Slovaks) that are so substandard that it's not worth dealing with (for example, someone wrote that the Hungarians stole Slovak children to raise them in Slovak). One does not know whether to laugh or cry over such nonsense. I prefer laughing... :-)
But, I have also read here that some people (probably Slovaks) referred to the lying, chauvinistic panslav-propaganda, according to which the Hungarian state "oppressed" other nationalities living in its country, which was primarily due to the fact that the new education law made learning Hungarian as a foreign language for students of other nationalities, also compulsory.
This law was then used by Russia-sponsored panslav propaganda as a cruel example of oppression and "violent" Hungarianization, and has affected the Western public, causing great outrage. However, the new education law only stipulated that minority students at the end of the school can speak and write at a basic level in Hungarian.
In any case, it is more than conspicuous and very strange that nobody today is upset or indignant that the students living in Slovakia and belonging to the Hungarian minority (still about 500,000 people) must learn the Slovak language.
Strangely enough, this is not considered as oppression or violent Slovakization, although Slovakia is still doing exactly what it has criticized the former Hungarian state.
This hypocrisy and double standard is not only typical for Slovakia, but also for the whole of Europe. The chauvinistic and violent assimilation policy of the neighboring states, which for more than 100 years have been directed primarily against the Hungarian minority, does not upset anyone, nobody stirs up.
