10/10 as an actor, 11/10 as a person.

I've always loved him as an actor but binging all his interviews I'm loving him even more as a person. Mad respect for him.

I always get amazed when people are blatantly rude or seem to have no compassion. It's hard to imagine when you have social anxiety and care too much even about what other people think and feel.

Javier is awesome. When he acts, he goes bigger than life. When he's just him... he's the most down to Earth human being ever.

I adore him. Anton Chigurh is one of the best film characters ever created.

Javier Bardem is such an amazing soul in any interview I've ever seen him do, but hearing him speak on this solidifies that notion. In any profession, if you feel that your success gives you the right to be pompous, arrogant, or think of yourself as bigger and better than anyone else, then you're the problem with society today. Be grateful for your position and understand that it was hard work, determination, and luck that got you there.

Javier is dropping some hardcore truth in these videos. We should always hold people to a standard of kindness and respectfulness. Famous actors are no exception.

people want celebrities and successful people to be different from them so that they feel better about not being as successful as them

Agreed. But I also understand the sociopathy that success sometimes breeds.

So some people ape the worst elements of "celebrity"- dress, self presentation, attitude etc thinking that is what being successful means.

I'm beginning to think that European actors have much better manners and presence than many of the American ones ever do.

What a great guy! Penélope Cruz lucked out when she married Javier Bardem! How SHE ever mingled herself with the loathsome Tom Cruise 🤢 is beyond me!!! Javier is so gorgeous and a TRUE TALENT!

It's because money and popularity = power. People think they're better because society treats them as though they are better once they've achieved those things. It sucks, but you do live on a higher socio plane if you have money and popularity.
