My favourite is the Mizuno, but I also like Qi10, but I'm waiting until spring before I purchase, I currently game the old TM M4 driver, 3wd, 5wd. But it's time for change.
appreciate that you didn’t default to a more easily accepted winner. We’ve now had 5 years of tour usage and accelerated product development on the drivers. Keith Mitchell lead the PGA Tour driving stats in 2023. Marco Penge leading DP World distance stats in 2024. There are a lot of good drivers out there now - but we should definitely be in the conversation. Thanks again.
I just got a St200, I chose this over the Titleist I was playing because it looked better over the ball, felt better to hit and had a massive improvement on bad hits. It feels very nice for set up and the carbon fiber makes it smoother through swing I feel. I love how the face and carbon look and it really helps me set up. I know I would get the 230 max as an upgrade, but still for the price I got the 200, it is a great club for this year to play. I am not too surprised he chose the Mizuno also, I have hit all the drivers, stealth 2, Callaway AI. I choose the Mizuno also for my bag but I love them all! Also was looking at some Mizuno irons similar to my TaylorMade I play now, just need to hit them and find what feels the best. Keep making great golf clubs
Been rocking Mizuno at the top of the bag since the OG st190. Playing the stZ now paired with the Fuji Atmos TS6 pulled from my retired 190. Incredible combo. Can’t wait to upgrade into the new lineup but in no rush with the numbers I’m consistently getting with this combo. Looks, sound, and performance are all there from Mizuno woods IM (first hand) HO.
Definitely be trying and more likely buying the 230 Max. Brand ambassador here. Had every JPX iron set since the 800. Since retirement have had to slow down the renewals :) , so have had my JPX 921 HM for 18 months. A record for me! At one stage every club in the bag was Mizuno, inc Putter. Bag, towel too. Love the branding, the colours. Keep up the good work.
That’s two reviews I have now seen in the last day with the Mizuno coming out on top over all the other market leaders, thanks for your review I now know what I’m trying next 🙏🙏⭐️⭐️
Started golf in Octobre 2023 everything in my bag is mizuno. I'm loving my MP20s 3-pw and just forcing myself to keep it pure for the feel. It's really rewarding and punishing at the same time for my irons and my driver and woods are super forgiving stx 220 full set. Love mizuno and I think I will stick with it for a long time.
Great video Alex, it was the comparison video so many were waiting for. The take from this video is that they are very similar, people need to go and try a few and let their numbers guide them, yet a lot of people are going to have their favourite in mind, a few yards here and there might not sway them from what they want and what the numbers say they should have.
TaylorMade Qi10 MAX in 9 degree head would have been your winner. Due to very deep CG it launches higher than the others so a 10.5 head is really like an 11.5 or 12 degree head. It’s definitely the most forgiving out of those four.
Ya... Not the one I bought. I already sold it and went back to my ping but just ordered the Mizuno. I have two friends who don't love there qi10s either.
3 things … This is the best test I’ve ever seen on TH-cam this is what we want to see. Real testing. Would love to see you throw in last year’s clubs in too ! And you used your vice drip ball rather than old bruised range balls. Kudos to you Alex !
Enjoy all of your videos. I am currently hitting the Taylormade M6. Each time you hit one of the drivers I thought, that looks interesting, although you have me wondering it’s certainly in a positive way. At 71 and only took up golf in my 50’s I’m always looking for even small improvements. I’m currently a 13 factor.
I learned today that if you're not working on your game, no equipment will be forgiven. I tried all the Maxes from different brands and they all showed zero improvement from my 15+ y/o driver. I think we need to realize that these reviewers are not your average daily golfer. These a very low handicap to scratch golfers so regardless of the driver, they will do well on.
If you meant to compare the draw biased models from each of those manufacturers - as the title of the video suggests, that's not what you did. Only the TM in this group is their draw biased model. The Callaway would be the Max D, the Miz would be STX-230, Ping would be the G430 SFT.
I tested the max d from Callaway? I also said in this test that I was testing the best of 2024. The Mizuno STX-230 was from last year why I went for the max version this year. Pluss also the G430 SFT was last years model and the 10K was this years…
@@HowGoodGolf I didn't say you tested the Max D from Callaway. I said that if your intention was to compare the Anti-Slice or Draw bias offering from each of these mfrs - as the title implies that the direct comparison to the TM Qi10 Max would be the Callaway Max D. And so on. Miz and Ping are on 2 year cycles with their products - the current draw biased ones in their lineups are the ones I indicated. If your intent was not to directly compare the draw bias offerings - then I would have recommended a different title of the video. That's alll I was saying. When I saw the title of the video - I expected something other than what was presented.
TBH Alex, I love and absolutely prefer forgiving clubs (Woods and Irons). However, sound to me is the least important thing to me when buying and playing golf. I believe that a screwdriver and a Hammer is a tool, and so is a golf club in all fairness. If it does its job and does it quite well, sound IMO shouldn't really matter as much. Accuracy and forgiveness matters far more to me than sound does.
Def need to try out the Mizuno to match my 245. I was gonna get the Ping after trying out the new Taylormade which I feel is a major improvement from the Stealth 2 HD I got.
I like the test format you have done, but a bit unfair towards the Callaway AI Smoke with that being a max draw setup and the others being standard max drivers. But saying that I’m a Ping G425 man myself and sticking to that as none of these have improved my driving accuracy when trying.
You pulled the snot out of the ping on the tow strike.. thats why you didnt hit the "fairway" id have given another go at that as the rest of the swings were pretty solid
Hi new to your channel but love the content. Would you be able to compare the new Ping against the Cleveland XL2 Please ? Also I wouuld like to see what shafts are available for a 90 ish swing speed Thanks
Same feelings. STX has enough forgiveness for what I need. Feels solid, sounds good and has enough distance to compete. Had every brand possible over the years. STX is in play for a reason. It works. I have confidence with it. That is a big part people don't grasp. People are so curious when I tell them it is Mizuno.
3 hits per driver just isn't enough data to collect to determine which one works the best for you. Sorry nothing personal but I know I have to take time to get used to clubs.
OK, now I'm confused... On this video th-cam.com/video/cYtwGbsNU30/w-d-xo.html at 6:10, you say the Taylormade Qi10 Max average is 283 average with the stock shaft and you hit 10 of 10 fairways. at 16:02, it shows your 'Best Forgiving Driver' is Mizuno with 3/3 fairways and the Ping has the longest average of 273. What gives?
I will never figure out in such reviews which club will work for me. There is so much more than playing with four clubs in a certain configuration. You have to make your own experience and let me tell you what. New clubs won't bring miracles to your golf game. Doesn't matter what the brands are promising. Its every year the same trash talk. Longer, more forgiving, easier to play, more MOI. This is just Bullshit. Stop spending 500+ bucks in new stuff. Go for lessons instead. And of course the PGA Pro's are playing with new stuff. Its part of the contracts I guess. What will happen if any PGA Pro would say the new clubs are trash? Just imagine.
I hate it when you tube experts get too cute for their own good. You cannot hit a toe and hell and then do it again and compare teh two shots. What a foolish and useless effort. And I watched it. Makes me the bigger fool. And here is the kicker, all you get is a yardage number off a monitor. What a weak effort. Save your time.
Good video, but every video ive seen of people comparing these drivers have different winners. Just goes to show why you should get fitted for your own swing. 🏌️
*What is your favourite? And what would you choose if you had the chance? Plus’s is there any I am missing in the video 😳*
My favourite is the Mizuno, but I also like Qi10, but I'm waiting until spring before I purchase, I currently game the old TM M4 driver, 3wd, 5wd. But it's time for change.
The Callaway just looked unbelievable in the sun IMO. The PXG Black Hawk might be a big surprise in this test, maybe the New Cleveland also.
Mizuno for me

Mizuno is the most slept on woods brand. My stg 220 has been soooo good to me over the past few years!
I just got a St200, I chose this over the Titleist I was playing because it looked better over the ball, felt better to hit and had a massive improvement on bad hits. Mizuno making a bit of a comeback with drivers! In the 90’s I had a T-Zoid! Great club!
3 things … This is the best test I’ve ever seen on TH-cam this is what we want to see. Real testing. Would love to see you throw in last year’s clubs in too !

Love Mizuno. My first ever proper set was Mizuno MX23 irons and the Blue Fire driver and 3 wood.

that Mizuno looks great. Plan to try it.
It does doesn't it, I think the only thing that would stop my buying the Mizuno is if the Qi10 comes up with better numbers from my testing.
I just bought the Ping. I love it!!
Man that was a great review IDK what to buy my heart was set in TM at first then Ping now Mizuno seems attractive
Ping 10k owner here….paradym traded in. 10k best driver I’ve ever had…EVER. Spin is legit good anywhere on the face and it’s a bomber
Kinda the data I was looking for.
Absolutely amazing video, Alex.
Thank you!
@@HowGoodGolf Only thing missing is the Cobra DarkSpeed....two club battle between Mizuno and Cobra?

@@johnnyo3478 thanks Johnny I hope you enjoyed the video anyway 🙌🏼
@@HowGoodGolf I enjoy many of your videos and your instruction has proven to be helpful to me.
Good video title change.
I’ve seen Mizuno out perform these other drivers for the past 3 years by many TH-camrs but they always put one of the others in the bag.
Sticking with Titleist tsR3
I haven't watched the Taylormade bit yet but so far definitely the Mizuno has been the best so far.
Agree
Yes definitely the Mizuno.
TBH Alex, I love and absolutely prefer forgiving clubs (Woods and Irons). However, sound to me is the least important thing to me when buying and playing golf. This is how you review clubs! Thanks Alex
Glad you like them!
Def need to try out the Mizuno to match my 245. I was gonna get the Ping after trying out the new Taylormade which I feel is a major improvement from the Stealth 2 HD I got.
I do not mind the sound of my 425 max because it does what I want it to when Ihit it right .
Love the sound of mine because it annoys my mate.
When I hit off toe, I would totally top the ball, and go like 5 yard in front of me lol. The AI smoke looks very cool though.
Lucky , when I hit it of the toe it some how goes back into negative yardage territory somehow 😅
Ping is the best by far for me. Can hit it anywhere on the face and it flys far!
And the Mizuno ST's are starting to go on sale already!
I like the sound of the G430.
Ping is the best of them all. No comparison.
The new Mizuno Drivers are already discounted at Golf Galaxy.
I like the test format you have done, but a bit unfair towards the Callaway AI Smoke with that being a max draw setup and the others being standard max drivers. But saying that I’m a Ping G425 man myself and sticking to that as none of these have improved my driving accuracy when trying.
Yess great shout with the Ping
Cobra dark speed ??? and a 80/90 swing so it's closer to us normal players😂
You pulled the snot out of the ping on the tow strike.. thats why you didnt hit the "fairway" id have given another go at that as the rest of the swings were pretty solid
I guess the test was forgiveness on off center hits, hope you enjoyed the review
Great video Alex, still loving the Callaway, but most probably just a bias opinion hahaha
I like the Stealth 2 std from last year
Great video Alex. You have me wondering
Thanks!! Haha i don’t want to leave you feeling confused 🤣 What driver are you gaming at the minute?
Hi new to your channel but love the content.
Would you be able to compare the new Ping against the Cleveland XL2 Please ? Also I wouuld like to see what shafts are available for a 90 ish swing speed Thanks
Great suggestion! Thank you 🙌🏼
Love my STX 230 don’t think it’s worth the up grade to the Max

What about Mizunos stg 440? Have you tried it Alex?
Not yet, i need to!
Just buy last years models for a nice discount. The differences tiny.
Why not use the ai smoke max. Not d?
yeah good point !
Where is the cobra darkspeed? I bet it would win most forgiving and longest distance
Watch other reviews...Mizuno keeps winning
Will be trying them all but am doubtful I would play the ping as their drivers sound crap , also don’t like the look of the turbulators
I wonder what us average golfers would pick as the favorite!
Surprised you didn't pick the Ping!
Haha i know!
3 hits per driver just isn't enough data to collect to determine which one works the best for you. Sorry nothing personal but I know I have to take time to get used to clubs.
How can a pro golfer tell us what forgiving is? Let a high handicapper test these drivers and we’ll see the real results.
Mate, you forgot to test them for those top of the crown shots mere mortals like us hit
OK, now I'm confused... Will NOT buy the TM as the face fell out on Stealth on a Video, alleged issue with QC.
Problem with Ping is the stock shafts, they are rubbish
Yea I've snapped 3 !!!!
Cobra?
That didn’t make this comparison but will definitely be comparing it 🙌🏼
Without head data, your results are not representative of the each head performance.
This is a real test and just my opinion as a pro 🙌🏼
A "best drive"r video based on 3 shots ... okaaaay?
Based on data yes
Does anyone do machine robotics testing any morel???This is a joke!!! To many variables with a human swing.
2023 the stealth plus is the greatest driver in history, 2024 no it’s not, something else is. Utter bollox
Please use foot powder on the face of club so that we see where the club stuck the ball. thank you
that is just your opinion, another you tube pundit might come to a completely different con clusion!
I agree
That's the point of his video. It's his opinion. Go make your own video and let people know how you feel.
3 drives a piece? Weak
Kind of a let down you demo only the most advertised brands
