Our family dog died last year. He was a dachshund and was with us for 11 long, funfilled and happy years. He would go for walks in our subd, and anytime we went out of town he was with us. near the end, he wad to be placed in a wheelchair but it didn't stop him from running around.
On the last day, we went out for a drive. we went places and his head was out the window the whole time. He was already so weak that he had to be caried everywhere. when the time came, he was looking up at my sister, his primary caretaker, and you can see the love he had in his look, as if to say 'Thank You'.
His name was 'KIBA'. I'm putting this here so others may also know his name.

That is a lovely story about your precious pet. I last my baby about 2 months ago I had him for 11 years also and was not just my companion dog but the next best thing I had other than my children, he suddenly got sick and I was on the ph to my vet at 6am in tha morning he held on all night but obviously couldn’t wait any longer and passed in my arms. We feel he held on all night just to say goodbye to us my life was ripped apart that morning. His name was Benjii. I do have another puppy atm her name is Jorja-Mae I also believe Benjii helps us to have another dog so soon. No dog can ever replace my boo. Lest we forget about our beloved pets. ❤🙏🏻🇦🇺🙂🌹
