THroughout my life I've gone off bands and found bands I've liked. I first discovered HIM when I was about 13 or 14. I am 18 and I still think they are brilliant. I think people like them so much is because they're guitar rifts are amazing to listen to and their lyrics....wow don't get me started on the lyrics, simply amazing!
We were bunch of rock music fans with dark styles in my teens. We used to drink tons of beer at night in a public park area and listen to Muse, HIM, Rammstein or Children of Bodom mostly. A friend group of two guys and two girls... I'm one of the guys, and the other guy is still my best friend. It's been more than 10 years, hard to believe.
If there is any band that I can turn on and let my brain melt away it's HIM. I just loose myself in their music. No stress or worries, just lay back and drift away to an alternate plane where nothing is everything and none of it matters.
