    Agreed. Can't strike out 32 times in 2 games. Nola was excellent, except one mistake to Hoskins. Nola deserved better.

    Why does this team always seem to be so undisciplined at the plate. Stott constantly drops to his knees when hitting, how is he so unbalanced?

    • @chrisbromley7214
      @chrisbromley7214 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Stott’s on the hot seat next year. If Aiden Miller keeps playing great in the minors next year, Stott might be gone in 2026.

    Can't blame Nola for this loss. Striking out 16 times is embarrassing. And to think they've done it 5 times this year. Strike out Kevin Long, as in FIRE HIM. Estevez walked the lead-off batter in the bottom of the 9th, you could see the doom-n-gloom expression on his face. He knew right away that the momentum had changed & the Phils were going to lose.

    It's feast or famine with this line-up.
    Swinging away with RISP is what they do.

    Aaron Nola is one of the unluckiest pitchers in baseball right now. For sure the most underrated as well.

    Striking out 16 times. No plate discipline on this team of wild swingers. That's almost 2/3rds of their total available at-bats. That's why they lost to a better disciplined Arizona team in the playoffs last year, & I predict they will lose to them the same way if they meet up again. ( which is highly possible ).

    How tf do u strike out that much in 2 games? It’s like watching a bunch of grandmas with cataracts trying to hit.

    1.3 billion dollar offense and is consistently putting garbage out there. Pathetic

    Bryce Harper knows how to shorten his swing and slap the ball all over the field with a 2strike count since 2012. He perfected it in his 2015 MVP season. Bryce in his 13th MLB season he always been an elite hitter who needs to lead the Phillies to a World Series win!

      No but but his job in the 9th it to not let any runs and he cant get 2 outs. Its a tight rope walk with this guy almost every time.

  • @ROAC35

    This team HAS NO SHOT IN THE PLAYOFFS! They are too inconsistent...they strike out too much, TERRIBLE plate discipline, and they have Nola, who usually gives up 2 hrs per game! Count on it!

    Stott is a great 2nd baseman but I have no confidence in him when he comes to bat. And it’s really getting annoying. If he doesn’t remember how to hit he’s going to be the odd man out when Aiden Miller is ready.

    Nola did his part-did good. But the Brewers are playoff team and they lost the series, they choke when it matters. Is it the same as always with these phillies ?.

    Steady diet of offspeed pitches and the Phillies lineup struggles but they better get used to it because that's all they're going to see from here on out especially playing good teams.. exact same thing happened to them last post season

    You can't win games by striking out 32 times in 2 games stop swinging at everything and work the counts. Thomson must be afraid to open his mouth and speak up. If that was me I would not hesitate for 2 seconds and would care less about pissing someone off. Get your act together. Pitching Walker tomorrow night will be a nightmare I will not watch.

  • @jamesheenan648
    @jamesheenan648 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Nick C. is back to normal. Look at strike 1. Foul off the 2nd pitch for strike 2. Swing at a breaking ball down and away in the dirt for strike three. The whole line up swinging for the fences. If that continues, the Phils will not make it out of the first round of the playoffs.

  • @roberthoffecker7223

    Here we go again, this time with the Mets. One inning, no contact, three strikeouts. Got to do better especially in one of Rob's scheduled losses with Walker on the mound.

    What this tells me is the NL Playoffs are wide open. Teams 1 thru 6 could represent the NL in the World Series. Teams that could give the Phillies trouble 1. Arizona 2. NY Mets 3. San Diego 4. LA Dodgers 5. Milwaukee

    Phillies losing on Thursday. Any game Walker pitches in is going down as a loss. A 95 year old Grand Mother can get more balls over the plate than him.

      @@markcar915 aside from walking runners home to lose the game on multiple occasions and occurrences like tonight where you let up a hit and then intentionally walk a batter and then proceed to load the bases to lose the game.

    The Phillies can’t hit anything with men on base. They can’t put the ball in play, just a bunch of lazy pop outs. Castillanos can’t layoff anything low and away. With hitting like this the Phillies go nowhere in the playoffs.

    They go know where in playoffs! If you look at their record and have not watched this team you might be impressed , but if you have watched them the last few years yoh know what they really are! Overrated, not going to World Series! Early playoff exit!
