I really felt bad for Twice, he was the only league member I feel sympathy for. I respect his commitment to his friends, but I wish he would've left them (some friends don't deserve your loyalty, especially when they're willing to drag you into hell with them) and accepted Hawks's offer
Imagine if no one ever saw this anime before and this was their first experience I know who I think would be the good guy and who I think will be the bad guy
the author's intention was indeed what you described: portray the labeled hero as a villain and the labeled villain as a hero. hawks in the manga was terrifying, im glad the anime did such a good job in showing that
Hawks and Lady Nagant remind me a lot of the Cpt Price in the new MW update "We stay dirty so the world stays clean" different genres, universes ones a game ones a anime but all characters depict the same character. The way governments fuction is having good people do bad things to good/bad people(who ever is decided as the target). It's scary a very real.

We both loved twice and I love hawks. Dabi was ok. I generally love dabi too but he was acting a bit off in the episode, I think he definitely could have done more to help twice than he had to be honest. I do have to say that scene between Toga and twice? Eerie to think how in that moment based off the events progression Toga was talking to the remnants of twice since the original appeared to have long since been dead.

His one action saved thousands of lives of both heroes and civilians alike. In fact that action is what made him my favourite pro hero, because for any good and efficient hero saving innocents>>>>>> moral high ground. That's why the marvel, dc superheroes are loved so much, they don't hesitate to do what is necessary to protect people,even Superman and spiderman have killed villains to save innocents.
Can't believe people are saying the only good villain worth crying for is twice, did we all read and then watch the same villain academia arc, I'm not saying the way the villains are going about things is a good thing at all (because all for one is def evil and irredeemable and has taken complete advantage of these people's good nature to turn them into personal weapons) but like every single member of the paranormal liberation army are direct products of what stain made his whole life about, how heroism has become entirely about celebrity culture and falsehood, and how quickly they will abandon anyone whose quirk is unorthodox or deemed "evil", how heros are oft just irredeemable monsters weaponize to stop the very products of their own system, look at hawks and the fact he was perfectly willing to kill just to prevent a villain from doing the right thing, he decided to commit murder to prevent a "villain" from making the choice of a real hero, toga and shigaraki are both great examples of the consequences of the system, the abuse shigaraki suffered, then furthered when he even considered being a hero just because daddy dearest was angry at his sister for dying to protect others, toga has an unorthodox and incredibly useful and potent quirk and would've been an amazing hero but because it functions on the consumption of blood and leads her to have an urge to indulge in it and especially in the blood of her loved ones, rather than being treated as a potentially great hero and ally no matter what field she chose to take, and taught to control those urges and strengthen her quirk and find ways to get around the blood need without harming people and other heros needlessly she was treated as a monster on the basis of her quirks activation conditions alone, yet again another time where hero society failed miserably and destroyed someone's life before they even got the chance to learn control and grow stronger and learn to run on their own two feet, dabi (spoiler if you don't follow the manga) is the "dead" son of endeavor who endeavor deemed a failure back when he was obsessed with that hero culture and creating a "perfect number one candidate" who had immense potential he refused to see due to previous stigma, the list goes on and on, a major thing I praise MHA for is that they have created villains who are good guys and good guys who are good guys working in a very out of date and shit system and I hope the overall ending results in deku and co completely over hauling the hero system and hero teaching system and world view on quirks so that none of these mistakes get repeated, so that people don't end up like toga or twice, so that dabi never happens again in someone's obsessive desire to reach a number one spot, and so that their aren't or at least are a lot fewer people in the world for people like all for one too manipulate into weapons for his evil ends
