I bought mine (and a hand pump ) today! thanks for the review. PS for the hand pump folks i suggest an extension piece as you can see the filler is in the middle and it is a good practice to monitor the guns gauge when filling (other wise the gun has to laid down for the air line to reach )
I just got one of these guns a couple of weeks ago. After having problems with my scope mounts and pump setup issues I finally got air in the gun and got to do some shooting for the past couple of days. I've been shooting Gamo Rockets at 35 yds. and can say it's Johnny on the spot. My grouping is much tighter than what you got here. I've got more ammo (types) on the way and going to reach out a little further towards 50 yds. to see how it goes. Have to say I agree, impressive little shooter. It may not be so fast but it's still hitting hard. Those little steel pointed Rockets are leaving a nice dent in the steel plates I'm dinging away at. Squirrel season just opened around here and I've got a hankerin for some good ole dumplings! :)
Awesome that companies are starting to come out with more budget minded pcp's. Been looking at the Gamo Arrow, Barra 1100z, or Umarex Origin as my next squirrel/rat gun.
Agreed! All three are great guns. Of those three, I like the Origin the best, but that's just me. Really depends on what you're after performance and power wise.

There's a guy that makes 3d printed chassis for them too, and barrel bands etc. You can turn the power level down on the Barra and the Origin which is nice. But then the Gamo Arrow is nice and light, compact. I can see how people become airgun hoarders 😂
Better save up some wood for a dust-proof cabinet for the break barrels. It's the 350-500 principle. If you ride a 350, and spend a day riding a 500, you'll sell your 350...

Crosman domed ultra magnum .22 pellets are very accurate in my gamo arrow.less than half an inch at 20 meters.The power is almost 18 fpe in my arrow with crosman ultra magnum 14.3 grains pellets.better than yours in the test.not bad at all.I am very happy with the gun.nice video!Thank you for the information
Tyler, great to see a review from you. You didn't mention whether the hammer spring was adjustable or not. I was surprised that you achieved such good groups with the Crosman Premiers. Did you try any JSBs? The 18.3g JSB are best in my Gamo Urban. I do like the fact that my Urban has a little more power for those occasional woodchucks that venture into our yard. I've made four one-shot kills on woodchucks with the Urban. Thanks for the video.
It is not as far as I could find. Yes, we ran through our normal battery of .22 pellets and slugs. The gun we had did not like anything on the heavier side of the spectrum. Bear in mind, your Urban has a BSA made barrel. This is a spanish barrel, so they're going to like different things most of the time. I think this gun definitely has a place for the backyard small game pester, and for those that are just getting into PCP. But for someone that already has a go-to pesting PCP gun, I am not sure this appeals to those folks.
I am new to air rifles and just purchased this from you. 4:21 you show the male disconnect. Mine looks a little different. It has what appears to be a copper color mesh inside the male fitting. Any thoughts on why this is different? I wanted to make sure this isn't something that needs to be removed before pumping air.
hi I just bought the gamo arrow and air venturi pump combo as my first pcp air gun from pyramid air, I really know nothing about pcp guns or the pump, can you do a video on g9 pump maintenance like oiling and changing seals, there's hardly any content on the internet or TH-cam on this, also will leaving the gun pressurized at 200 bar for a month or more gonna damage or weaken the gun in anyway, thanks in advance

I recently purchased the Gamo Arrow after watching many reviews. I loved it, but then realized the scope mount, actually the whole receiver moves when I grab the scope and wiggle it. Found this out as the rifle came off zero a few times after sighting in the scope. Did I just get a bum one?
Its ok, im getting 20 super accurate shots with 16 grain pellets. They start to drop a bit on mag 3. The gamo Rockets are. 14.3 grains and i can get 3 mags on bullseye. After that it just falls off.
This will somewhat depend on the gun you're experiencing droop on. Even if there's not a way to actually fix it, there are ways to live with it and make it usable (drooper rails, adjustable mounts, shims, etc.). So more info on the gun you're asking about or experiencing it on would be helpful.
@@soulreaper8163 Shimming the rear scope ring is a good place to start. Using something thin like a cutout from a plastic water bottle or something like that usually works well for me. If that doesn't work, check out a Leapers/UTG droop compensating rail.
Not sure why you'd need to turn it down, it's not the most powerful thing to begin with. But as far as on board power adjustment goes, there isn't anything.
Yes, the bolt is very solid. In terms of the polymer usage on the gun, my only area of concern is the dovetail on the breech. It's not weak or anything, but with metal mounts, there's the potential to overtighten and really bite into that plastic.

I'm all for responsible gun ownership having grown up in a "hunting family" where gun safety was taught at an early age. Imho, Airgun manufacturers & retailers will have to spend some $ explaining to the public that airguns are a much safer alternative to firearms. Once airgunners are seen by the public as part of the problem then it's game over for us.
With all the PCP guns out there capable of shooting arrows, with some made just for that purpose, rather ironic that the gun named the Arrow can't shoot arrows.
@@chrisreilly4006 Yes, my my Urban has a metal dovetail. Quality wise, I don't think the arrow is equivalent to the UK built Urban. I have my Urban four years now and not a single issue and holds pressure forever.
We will have to see how this gun holds up over time before passing judgement on the build and parts quality. The gun reviewed saw over 1000 rounds in our pre-testing and held up just fine.

While you were checking the shot string did you happen to note the pressures?
It's actually listed on the bottom of the shot string. 3300 psi down to 1800 psi.

That would be a tough one. Best bet is to remove the action from the stock and install a swivel stud into the stock.
