Nobody seems to be giving credit to the folks who play the piano accompaniments. Imagine getting to be as old as this guy & never having anyone applaud you. All the applause & all the praise are directed at the little kids he is helping. THANK YOU OLD GUY, FOR HELPING THEM! Dave E (Long Island, NY--age 70)
we need to keep in mind these are children. they are very talented and are blessed to have such a special gift for music. we should encourage them. to each his own. bravo and keep up the hard work. these are complex pieces that most adults have trouble playing.
I cannot comprehend what must go on in the brain and body to make those glorious sounds on the most difficult instrument there is - and by a 10 year old no less! My. God.
well, I think we should stop comparing her to Perlman, I mean he´s older than her. she´s still learning and has a brilliant life ahead! I truly enjoyed this and the fact that she puts so much emotion in her playing, she truly enjoys it!
Wow! At the beginning I thought I was watching and hearing a voice-over. Such effortless display with perfect intonation. Her stage presence is pretty cool too. I am more than impressed.
Out of this world brilliant. This skill in such an early age can only come if powered from inside. She had the focus and the drive and the parents did not stand in her way. We know nothing of her childhood. It may have been as happy or unhappy as anyone elses. But with her she has taken an unbelievable skill which will open doors for her, whereever she goes.
Phenominal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was perfect. Her pitch and technique was out of this world! I don't even play Violin, but I have an ear for music and a perfect pitch, and this was beautiful!
She seems more confident and relax at 10 than Permlann did at that age. Lovely no matter what. Totally phenomenal perforamance, 'tis true. Merry Christmas!
Wow! You are a WONDERFUL violinist! You show marvelous bow control, and great tone quality! I enjoyed listening and watching this video very much. Don't let your talent be wasted... in other words, use your talent, your gift from God. He obviously knew what he was doing when he gave you this stupendous talent. I am also a violinist, but I have yet to conquer such bow control. Keep up the beautiful work, and thank you for popsting something that's NOT a waste of my time.
You don't know Mindy. She loves Violin since she was very young, and so she started to play it and enjoy it everyday. She was raised in SF, USA. No one can force her do things. She loves to play and practice. She's a bright wonderful happy girl! Go Mindy! We all miss you.
Just imagine the progress that this ten-year-old must have made during the past six years! But the best part of this performance is the promise, based on her ease of body movement and relaxation. Her teacher deserves a prize. And Mindy deserves a better violin.
That's incredible!! I play the violin myself, so I know how much practice and technic you nedd to play such a thing. Congratulation dear, you are a great musician!!
Such confidence and grace. Good grasp of expression and character, and especially rubato. Lovely sweet tone. Mindy, you are becoming quite the mature artist already and I am excited to see where you will go from here.
i Really would like to hear the opinion of those 63 ppl that dislike this...whats their argument....this is amazing.most people that dislike thinks that the kid should have Childhood, but i really think that practicing any instrument is a remarkable childhood..Better than watch stupid things in the TV or Playing with dumb friends...
Woww!! Not only is this amazing for a girl this age.. but this is one of the best recordings of this peice i've heard (taking into account how much the video must have distorted the sound)
Hahahhahaha, I almost died of laughter after reading your post!! I am seventeen and I completely understand what you mean. I'm in my school's orchestra and sometimes we watch videos like these and weep together. haha XD
A lot of people are talking about speed, but actually listen to the differences in tone and articulation. Children are incapable of playing with feeling. I've listened both Heifetz's and Perlman's recordings of Bazzini many many times.
true! i'm really flattered....i mean, PERLMAN. i had the privilege of attending his summer camp. he's so easy-going, you'd never think he was one of the gods of classical violinists.
I've enjoyed all her clips so far. Secure technique aside, she has a natural musical pulse. uni33 you should tell people her name in case she becomes famous in the future!
Thanks for posting this! I remember playing Bazzini at that age. She's done a GREAT job at it. She nailed the octaves too- (the hardest part for a violinist at speed): NICE! Too bad it's not a better resolution video on here.
PERLMAN CAN ONLY PLAY THIS WORK-RIGHT- FROM BAZZINI It is one of the hardest playable violin work ever written - Bazzini was the most famous student of Paganini . Maybe he stood higher than his teacher.
what I meant by Korean is the originality.a teacher influences mostly on the technic and musicality is something that is already inside you and if you don't have that, even a great teacher can not thoroughly develope it for you but the technic can be always developed by working hard and having a good teacher.

More than awesome for ten years old!!!!
I can't even play the radio that good...lol

OMG!! She plays as perfect as Perlman, Menuhin and the other great violinist!! I want to see her playing in 10 or 20 years!!! AWESOME!!
She doesn't just play the piece - she also feels it AND OBVIOUSLY SHE HAS FUN HERSELF! Bravissima!!!
WOW!!!! She's incredible...not even a little fault...Since when is she playing the violin??

You don't know Mindy. She loves Violin since she was very young, and so she started to play it and enjoy it everyday. She was raised in SF, USA. No one can force her do things. She loves to play and practice. She's a bright wonderful happy girl!
Go Mindy! We all miss you.
From the Top usually doesn't interview very talented kids, but this one's an exception. She's great!!!
Just imagine the progress that this ten-year-old must have made during the past six years! But the best part of this performance is the promise, based on her ease of body movement and relaxation. Her teacher deserves a prize. And Mindy deserves a better violin.
God, what little applause for such a fenomenal performance!
Thank you Mindy!! Amazing! The very best performance ever heard from this piece, so lightly and beautiful!! Thank you very very much!!!
this is a beautiful soloist with a beautiful future ahead of her. i am most inspired.
my mouth is open and my eyes are bigger than ever! this is UNBELIEVEBLED!
That's incredible!! I play the violin myself, so I know how much practice and technic you nedd to play such a thing. Congratulation dear, you are a great musician!!
she is so into this music...she makes it sound like it is fun to play.
OMG!! She is awesome!! I want to listen her interpretations in 10 or 15 years.
holy crap guys, this is my friend. i found out she was like, a violin prodigy today! SHES SO GOOD! OMG.
Excellent waves of music with a rythmic expression
Wow...I'd consider this incredible played by a violinist of any age. Amazing.
Such confidence and grace. Good grasp of expression and character, and especially rubato. Lovely sweet tone. Mindy, you are becoming quite the mature artist already and I am excited to see where you will go from here.
Not comparable to great violinists, but, hey, she WILL play it great!!! Very talented girl!
I hadn't heard this in a long time. awesome!
it took me a few minutes to find. I subscribed.
Wow such a gift! I can see her getting a full scholarship to college when she gets older!
i Really would like to hear the opinion of those 63 ppl that dislike this...whats their argument....this is amazing.most people that dislike thinks that the kid should have Childhood, but i really think that practicing any instrument is a remarkable childhood..Better than watch stupid things in the TV or Playing with dumb friends...

Wow she is so good !!!!! and so young!!! continue your good work!!!
Hahahhahaha, I almost died of laughter after reading your post!! I am seventeen and I completely understand what you mean. I'm in my school's orchestra and sometimes we watch videos like these and weep together. haha XD
What I amazes me is, for some reasaon, not the playing, but the fact that she's remembering it all without sheetmusic
She is wonderful. How old was she when she started violin?
I wonder how long she practiced a day then..
just amazing.
Excellent. Mindy was a 2008 Junior Menuhin finalist. She has a very bright future.
an incredible talent whose childhood was more than likely robbed of her.
talented girl
If at the age of 10 she can play this much, which actually is really good, then wait till she'll get 20!
Very good indeed!!
Excellent, great sound!
Well done LI LIN,well done Mindy.5 stars!!!

This is amazing!!! I play the violin myself but there's no way I will become this good in a couple more years. I just started to play. (I'm 10.)
She's bloody good... nice dress too..
AWESOME PERFORMANCE!! The piece itself, however just repeats and repeats and repeats.
A lot of people are talking about speed, but actually listen to the differences in tone and articulation.

excelent song choice, flashy and fun. kudos
I've enjoyed all her clips so far. Secure technique aside, she has a natural musical pulse. uni33 you should tell people her name in case she becomes famous in the future!
A bit, but it's amazing that she's able to play this at this level of proficiency at all, at her age.
Beautiful girl playing beautyful music!
That is MIles Graber!!! Only the most awesome Piano accompanist ever!!
wow, that piece is so difficult to play , you have to have such extreme bow control. i love playing that piece. she's awesome. great job!
Thanks for posting this!
I remember playing Bazzini at that age. She's done a GREAT job at it. She nailed the octaves too- (the hardest part for a violinist at speed): NICE! Too bad it's not a better resolution video on here.
