it's a brilliant system that goes far beyond just the pretty simple line of sight shown in this video and I believe it's also pretty easy to build ontop of it to add your own senses too beyond seeing, hearing, etc. :definitely worth learning about :)
hi after watching hours of tutorials this is by far the best solution i just have the problem that when i die the enemy doesnt re-engage when i hide and step out again it works perfectly
not sure why it does that. do you reload the entire level you die? if so, it should re-trigger in theory. If you're doing a more optimized system where you just reset your location back to the last checkpoint like a lot of games do, you might have to manually also reset the enemies somehow. I can't be sure about the details of course but that's the first thing i'd look for
sight event wouldnt trigger, no sure if its in the video but my fix was> in controller AI perception/ Sense/Detection by Affiliation, check all
that's a step i did skip over indeed, pinned this comment in case anyone else has this issue! glad you managed to figure it out though!
You saved my life! Thank you! :)
Thank you. Same here. "Detect Neutrals" tick was needed.
Thank you!!
omg thanks I was wondering why. You are the man!! Thanks a lot
Very glad I ran into PawnSensing issues, googled AI Perception and stumbled upon this channel. Thank you sir!
I'm happy to help!

Thank you so much! this is so much better than pawnsensing

Looking to make Ai attack the first seen. They'll break the first attack and go after the next enemy they see even if they're not dead
