Interesting, we are shown the private key around 23:47, and I see in the blockchain that there were funds just until 24th May 2019... while this was published on 2018. They left BTC there for anyone to grab?
If you were able to look up the address in a block explorer, it was a public key instead of a private key. Public keys alone just act like an email address.
Annnd in the next second they show what is likely the private key with the QR code. Good eye

how come that the bitcoin transactions are so fast in this video? everytime i buy something with bitcoin, it takes ages for the payment to be confirmed and actually go through...
EVERYTHING is different in the video -- faster, etc etc --- the thing that secures the BTC network are "confirmations" and that is what legitimizes each transactions -- your question is VERY wise....and you're smart to ask it...I hope I have been of assistance....please take the time to read this link for an even better answer --- oh one thing --- though your transaction is immediate, it takes 10 minutes for it to be confirmed in the first block.....most serious places require at least 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 confirmations before it is REALLY confirmed...I am certain that this will change over time and get better......there is something called LN or Lightening Network that is a second layer to bitcoin and it is immediate, BUT beware it is in the early stages....it does work....ok, please read this link and please reply back to me....thanks for allowing me to share this with you and i wish you all the best

I don't have such an option in my wallet. so if not me, who can reverse it? will it be reversed automatically if it does not get any confirmations? the article suggests to make a new transaction if a transaction does not get confirmed by 72 hours. but what if you make a new transaction and the old one gets confirmed later? I've also been thinking about another thing. what will happen when all the bitcoin will have been mined and there will be no more bitcoin to be mined? will all future transactions go through without confirmations? the concept of cryptocurrencies is so difficult for me to grasp that I don't think I will ever be able to understand it :)
@@os-qt1hc there will probably be services that grow up around holding funds in escrow (I think some already exist). These services could enable charge-back if necessary (and if the businesses decides to offer this service). Also, when all Bitcoin is mined, miners will receive fees from transactions. I don't know what the rates/percentages are, but they will get paid for their confirmation work.
@@os-qt1hc Also - eventually Joanna Bloggs won't need to care about the technology underpinning how the various blockchains and cryptocurrencies work - they will be more interested in the fact that it's cheaper, more flexible and (soon will be) faster than current methods. There are a multitude of start-ups working towards making the user experience more seamless.
@@TheEmanep I have to say, though, that I don't like using bitcoin as payment method/currency.. I trade it and earn money from trading it, but I don't like using it. The fees associated with every transaction are way too high for me to ever consider using it instead of fiat currencies. Having a free bank account and free transactions is much more convenient than having to pay for converting fiat to bitcoin and then having to pay once again another fee to be able to pay with bitcoin. Not a good deal.. If you want to buy coffee with bitcoin, you will pay twice as much, because the transaction fees will be at least in the price of that coffee. I can see the benefits of paying with bitcoin for people who have something to hide and do not want their transactions to be traced back to them, but for everyday life of regular people, I don't see any use other than trading it.. Maybe I'll get it later..

I d hodl it even if it crashes like crazy after its next bull market.. cuz the investment on btc is for my kids generstion and making me be a dad I never had to my kids.. no life saving to invest till the next hslving on may 2020 .. even if I luckily find a borrowing person to me in cash till than (which wont happen lol), bank will not allow me to deposit that amount on my card for online purchases :'( So unlucky.

It is the last trading price. There's an order book, a list of orders on the exchange. For example, one guy might sell 1btc at 10000, the closest next order might be 0.23 BTC at 10001, then the next might be at 5btc at 10004 and so on. In order to raise the price from the current price of 10000 to 10004, one must buy these 1+0.23+5 BTC and pay their respective prices. It's simple demand and supply. Just take a look at pro.coinbase and don't read the comments on this page, full of scammers
