Just stumbled across this. Fantastic, I had memorized every page. All the ones I had, all the ones I wanted, and all the ones my spoilt cousin had. Good stuff
It's amazing the models I had that I'd forgotten about!! I used to get my mum to get me 'TV21' comic as it always carried a Corgi advert on the back cover.....
I remember having the James Bond 007 Aston Martin with the hide away machine guns and passenger ejector seat which was very cool for those days. I could watch these for hours, Thanks for posting.
I have the yellow Lotus Elan seen at 2:08. Thanks to your video, I see that the model has a removable chassis. I had no idea of this feature and someone (probably my father) previously inserted the chassis incorrectly. I assumed a factory error and I posted a picture on my Instagram. You saved me from unnecessarily drilling out the posts to "fix" the problem. On closer inspection of the model, there's a very small lever on a locking mechanism with a spring that unlatches the chassis at the rear axle. Thank you for posting this catalog!
Thanks, Six. That was great. Had a quite a few of these back then. Loved 'em. Wish I still had them. You use such great music with your vids. Makes your trips back to childhood like a dream. 😌 Have a wonderful Holiday and a very happy New Year, fellow kid-at-heart! 😄💂🎅👬
Great channel,,,thanks for all your great work, research,,,I restore Matchbox cars as a hobby just done a Rolls Silver Shadow,,great fun,,swishing you, family fellow subscribers a great Xmas and New Year,,,,
I think the model you are referring to is the Hillman Hunter London to Sydney Marathon model which did indeed come with a kangaroo and I think came out the year before the moon landing in 1968. The model also featured "golden Jacks" which allowed you to remove the wheels - it was a heavily liveried model with roof boxes and a red front fender.
I only have a couple of toys from that year,,when I was 4,,,Luv the old days,,miss them for sure,,,restoring old toys takes me back there,,,

Thoroughly enjoyed that, going back in time, when I had several of the cars in the mid 60s. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it, stay tuned

The wonderful Corgi military line simply disappeared from the 1969 catalogue...
Strange.
I seem to remember a hillman hunter around the time of the moon landing that came with a kangaroo. Am I right on the timings?
not sure about that
