- Welcome to another video! If you watched my last one about the patchwork blanket, you will know I changed my plans more than once because I didn’t know what was in my fabric closet, basically because it’s a mess. Soo in today’s vídeo I want to put a solution to that, upcycling old clothes into easy sewing projects.
A year ago I didn’t have the skills to make all these projects, and it gives me immense joy to be able to do so. Also, take in mind that I didn’t do all these projects in one day, but in two weeks, which was a little bit much, but I couldn’t help it! I was having too much fun ✨

He could be a keeper. My husband, then boyfriend, came with me to buy a sewing machine. the shop had a class going on on the table next to where I tried out the machine. He had never used a sewing machine before but insisted on trying it out taking into account the advice from a table of ladies in the class. He was definitely a keeper

Fabulous - I have a huge bag of old clothes - fabric waiting for sewing projects. I don't want to put in the recycle bins any more because I heard most of it is still sent to landfills. I have a dress - I love the material but it looks horrible on me - so I will do the exact same as you and turn it into a dress!! I knew I needed a waist band but didn't think how to do it - really great instructions and ideas from you😊😊😊

Lately I’ve seen people making a sweatshirt and having the arms quilted or take an already made sweatshirt and cut sleeves of and use quilt material for arms.
Yes! I've seen it too, must be very comfy, I would like to try that some day

@@estelsogo I know!!!! New Zealand is so far away from literally everything haha. I've been working on a completely hand sewn, queen sized patchwork quilt and I'm finally almost finished, it'll be so nice to have it on my bed in time for this winter!

Tote bags are easy and very useful! You can use small pieces of fabric, especially in the lining and for inside pockets! Your projects are wonderful and very practical.
That's a good idea! I was thinking to try boro sashiko stitching, seems nice for small scraps, I still have a lot!

Hola, hoy encontre este video tuyo y me fascino porque en cuanto a costura tenemos mucho en comun, me encanta pero no soy experta y me gusta regalar cosas que hago. Acumulo telas y prendas 😅 tambien y siempre estoy pensando que hacer y a veces me bloqueo. Yo hago lo mismo que vi en tu video y tambien creaciones para la cocina, ultimamente estoy haciendo bolsos para las compras, carteras, monederos, estuches para lapices o neceseres. Super excited to have found your channel! ✨ my boyfriend attended a quilting class with me when a friend couldn’t make it, he had never used a sewing machine either and I thought it was the cutest thing seeing him make his own quilted stocking 😭 how did we luck out with these men 🥰 also I wanted to thank you, I had never heard the term rag quilt before your last video, I have since dove in and watched a bunch of videos and now I’m excited to start my own!

Me encanta tu canal, me gusta ver tus ideas y compartir o intercambiar ideas. Para usar tus trozos restantes , yo haría algo con la técnica de boro sashiko. Yo he hecho neceseres, un chaleco y algunas otras cosas con esta técnica. Sorginak beti together!!!!
