Math help? We're asked the probability of drawing 5 cards of the same suit from a standard deck of cards. I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. Since the first card can be anything so long as the rest of the cards 'follow suit' (pun so intended), I'm assuming the first number we'll multiply everything by is 1. Since we've already drawn one card, the next number we've multiply by is 12/51, right? Then we multiply by 11/50, 9/49, and 8/47. Is that the right way to do it?
ohhhhhhhhhhhh i understand now when its 0.6 say u do it twice its 0.6x0.6 (6x6=32) so we have 36 and if we multiply that with o.6 (36x6) we get 216 and u add the 0 with the decimal so 0.216
What if u draw three marbles, but if u pick a red one you need to replace it. And then the question ask u what is the probability of getting red marble?

why do you have to multiply the branch fraction together rather than add them in a single probability branch?

when u got the p(hhh) and multiplied them by 3 (0.6x0.6x0.6) how come you got 0.216
isnt it supposed to be 1.8
