Both the adults in the house I grew up are gone and nary a tear from me and I'm not a wholly awful person. I and two friends at one time were a Rush tribute band, we called ourselves "Altrusian Grace" (which sounds cool but once you find out the origin you'll laugh)...but now I bring up Rush videos daily because I play along on guitar but dammit...every time I do Spirit...the studio video with the cool graphics...man, the end...I can't keep it together...it's been easily 100+ times...IDK what the hook is...he was such a gift and yet had such a hard life...maybe that's it....Neil and Co. (truth be told, I'm the minority...I hone into Alex' voicings) were for me what drums were for Neil...cuz if you weren't athletic you were worthless and I was worthless so I"d go home and spend the next 4-6 hours on guitar...and it did miracles. I'm just as popular now as I was then meaning it's me but that's ok and well...I'm going to end this DISSERTATION and warm up on some Mr. Sawyer and then my personal fave to play, the live medley La Villa going into By-tor (as I stare down my RG920QMZ and it seduces me with it's Cobalt Blue Surge curvy body it's Edge Zero II trem and those badass DiMarzio bucks....effin' A, man...effin' A)...and if you read this far, here is your reward: take the chromatic scale, C, C#, D, D#, E,F,F#,G,G#,A,A#,B...loop them into a circle as if they were the 12 hours on a clock...now....here's the magic...take the tones that are the open notes on a 6-string guitar...E,A,D,G,B,E...draw straight lines to connect them like a dot-to-dot....tell me what you have and tell me THAT is a coincidence! Eh? Eh? 2112
I miss them too. We all do my friend. Thank you for watching, writing, and being part of our RUSH Family! More Rush videos are coming very soon, I'm recording a new one tonight. Hello Rush Fans! I was a Lucky Fan to have Neil write me a Letter back in 2013 before R40. Me and my Drum Tech wanted to know if he would go back to Double Bass w/ Real Percussion and grow his hair long again. He told us that he liked a challenge and Clowned us by sending us a picture of him w/ long hair from the 70's. We All had a Big Laugh. 2 Years later low and behold he went back to Double Bass w/ Real Percussion. In my Heart of Hearts I know Neil took our challenge and he wanted to show the World the Power he had in Drumming. To influence the Greatest Drummer in The World on his last Tour just with a Question was Totally Mind blowing and Amazing to say the Least. RIP Neil
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing my friend! 😢🙂🥁 Cheers, Eric (Loudboy) The Loudboy Experience RUSH Playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLCPBN8CIHaJnk9XPYhwOn7NYfnPnt5blf.html&si=ZcT_qyVPy7kQv2kE

Clockwork Angels Tour: my 85 yr old mum insisted on seeing Rush in Vancouver. I took her… front row and she stood the whole show clapping along. That was the best. Been a fan since ‘76. 🎉
LOVE IT! There was a lot going on during the Clockwork Tour, and I'm very sad to report I missed that one. However, I've seen my concert Blu-Ray more times than I can count, and I did get to see R40. Bringing my Dad to R40, a new Rush fan, was a dream come true. Watching him rock along with Rush at R40 was like I won a major battle for the heart and mind of my father. I kid a little, but I had been into Rush for 25 years already, and to see him join our Rush Family was amazing! Thank you for writing! What do I think? I think people need to give up on Rush reforming with a new drummer. Rush is retired and enjoying family life and spending their remaining days however they choose to. How much of their lives do they need to give to fans that just can't let the past go? They need to quit being so selfish and respect whatever Alex and Geddy have chosen to do.
R50! Thank you for sharing! Raise a collector’s beer and salute the GOATS of trio rock bands! The music and lyrics that mean the world to many of us will remain timeless!
You're welcome, my pleasure. Thanks for sharing. Music is timeless this way. Rush will be relevant and special for the rest of our days. Neil's lyrics, the body of written word as a whole, remains just as meaningful today, and in some cases, even more so, given his ability to "see" far in advance of the year in which he wrote the songs. I too have been a Rush fan since the 70's!! I was born in 1972, and was introduced to Rush by an older cousin. I remember playing Rush records on my fisher-price record player that I had taped 2 pennies to the arm so it wouldn't skip as it was too light....LOL!!! Doesn't seem to match but I was playing Rush, Queen and even some Kiss on a fisher-price plastic record player!! Don't think that was the type of music my parents had expected when they bought it for me (along with the soundtrack albums for Peter Pan and a couple other Disney movies) but I quickly found my own taste in music.
That is such a cool story. You were definitely a "Rush Baby" ;-) I did not discover Rush until much later than you, however, I did spend my youth dreaming of media and technology. I used to record TV show theme songs on my dad's portable cassette recorder, creating an ancient mix tape. My bedroom walls were filled with cutout pictures of current electronics and tech. This was me simulating the interior of a spaceship and dreaming of owning grown-up toys someday. In High School, I made movies and skits anytime I could get my hands on a camera. Before I was a highly trained Avid editor, I cut my videos "old school" between camera and VCR, pressing pause, play, pause, play... I could go on, and perhaps I will sometime in the future. I hope to LIVE stream The Loudboy Experience soon, and it will be great to talk to you guys. We can share our stories and lives and talk about Rush in real-time. I was glad to a point that everyone wasn’t into Rush. But we needed enough people into them, that those three guys could make a living and continue touring and putting out albums. Happy to have done my part in the record stores and the concert halls.
My thoughts exactly. I've often thought that Rush maintained at least 500K loyal fans, my only evidence being that all of their albums are at least Gold. With this fan base, they've been able to fill stadiums until the end. With the landslide success of 2112, Rush had a mandate to create what they want, when they want, how they want, until the end. It's perfect really, to have enough for autonomy, but never too much and be considered mainstream. Like you, I've always been happy to support the boys with my hard-earned dollars. What I've gotten from Rush in return is almost priceless. Thanks for writing, please stay in touch and subscribe to join our Rush Family. I cry every time i see a rush clip on here and this is no exception, Neil passed away on 7th jan 2020, at that very same time RUSH passed away too, cant believe its 50 years, WOW, saw them for the first time 48 years ago, Still got all their work and listen daily, Thanks RUSH will always love you 🙏⚘️🇬🇧🇨🇦
Yes. When Neil passed, so did our favorite band. Now when I listen to Rush, and hear the masterful music, and unequaled lyrics, a feeling of great loss that comes over me. Two simple words can describe how I feel on the verge of tears: "NEVER AGAIN" It's wonderful to be able to share how I feel with you guys, because I have a feeling that I'm not alone. Thanks for watching, Eric (Loudboy)
It’s 7:40 AM in the morning in Layton Utah. I was lying in bed when one of my Rush fan page popped up. I was just laying there thinking I came out to the front room and turned on TH-cam came across this, and you were talking about the garden so I paused your podcast and listen to the garden and just started crying. Such an unbelievably incredible song. I know you probably feel the way everyone else feels that’s in our rush, cult. I still feel the pain of the loss of Neil. my wife, my drummer, and I went and seen the clockwork angels Shows on this tour. After we left, we were talking about everything. I told my wife I still remember when my sisters bought 2112 in 1976 I was 13 years old. I was hooked. I’ve seen so many shows but after leaving the clockwork angels show, I had a weird feeling. I don’t know why, but I told my wife and drummer. It’s gonna be really hard for those guys when one of them goes. I never thought it would be soon. My wife heard that Neil passed. She didn’t want to tell me while I was at work, but I found out anyways. Like I was lost in the moment in time. I was panicking searching on the web to see if it was just a hoax praying that it was. Only to find out that it wasn’t. I lost it. I listen to them every day and have sense. I was a kid. it is my favorite band by far. And then not too long ago ago I lost my drummer from diabetes. Greg hutchins. I had the chance to read Ged’s book it was amazing. I can’t watch Geddy’s new interview without crying. It’s amazing with the influence can have over so many people.❤️❤️❤️💔💔💔💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺🥺
My friend, it is difficult to respond to your note. Like you, I continue to be deeply affected by the lifetime of music and lyrics of Rush. Now that we've lost them, lost Neil, I also cry often when watching, listening, and reading. While life got in the way of my attending Clockwork Angels Tour, I knew that I couldn't miss R40, that it was probably the end. I don't know how I knew this, but it was mission critical that I be there in Boston to see them that last time. I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of Greg. I'm sorry bud. Thank you for your passionate note, please stay in touch, and subscribe to be part of our Rush Family here. You're not the first person to respond with this thought, and I agree. Like several times now, I'm happy to clarify my comment. When I sit down to chat with you guys I have a couple words, or topics jotted down on paper, but I never know exactly what I'm going to say. I talk for a while and share my thoughts in real time. After I'm done, I still don't know the full extent of my improvised recording until I watch it on my Avid system when I'm editing. Because of this, I might riff on a crazy idea I get while recording, like a possible R50 tour. Geddy has said, there's NO Rush without all three guys, period. Of course I agree with Maestro Lee. I am encouraged that even at my ripe age, I still get excited about my favorite band, as if I'm stepping out of a Time Machine and it's 1988 again. Thank you for watching bud. Got to mention I saw Rush do the coolest thing I have seen any Band do. In Phoenix mid or early eighties at the Hold Your Fire Tour the lights came up like daylight around the third song or so. Neil threw His right stick almost to the top between the rafters. Geddy and Alex were looking back at Him. As He caught it above His kit He came down on a crash cymbal and all Three started at the exact moment. Do not remember the song but it was unbelievable precision by all three of them. I know Neil practiced outside and there was no limit for His stick throw heights growing up practicing. Amazing to Witness. Thank You Rush!
AWESOME! Thank you for sharing. Their precision and perfectionism gave us unparalleled excellence. I can imagine your vivid description of that event, and it must have been a sight to behold. I don't set out trying for this, but sometimes a little magic happens while I'm editing on my Avid. If the timeline happens to get close to 2112 in length, I cut a few seconds and frames until I get this special Rush number. Rush has become one of my favourite Canadian bands of all time. Their lyrical content, musicianship, non-egocentric characteristics made me love them instantly! Happy R50 to Rush! ❤️🤘🏼🇨🇦
I couldn't agree more. In 2008, when a business trip brought me to Toronto, and I landed at YYZ for the first time, I was on cloud nine. I drove by the iconic location of the Moving Pictures album cover and took photos. I tried to find the Rush HQ, the then management office, just to be close to them in a small capacity. All of my Mom's side of the family is from Canada, and growing up in northern New England, we took our school field trips to Montreal. Canada, like Rush, is part of my DNA. My first Rush concert too at Newcastle City Hall. A long time ago. I saw Signals played to a lazer light show at the London Planetarium in the early 80's, both were amazing experiences.
As soured as I’ve been about them ever playing As Rush with anyone but Neil, I wouldn’t mind seeing them playing again live. They don’t need either mikes to join, I’m sure there is someone out there that would be a great fit .

LOL! I feel you bud! I used to fall asleep to Rush, mostly Moving Pictures in High School. In college, I fell asleep to Counterparts and Roll the Bones, etc on my headphones. I remember, after my life being changed by 2112 in 1988, the excitement I felt chasing after buying the entire Rush catalog. What had been out for 20 years was fresh NEW music. I remember the exhilaration while shopping at Newbury Comics on Cape Cod, of seeing a new Rush cardboard box, with CD inside, of the latest Rush album. I remember when the boys rereleased their vinyl and I had to build by Rush ALBUM collection. I could go on, but perhaps this would make for another Rush video in the future. Three GOATS? Geddy, Alex, Neil = The Trinity of GOATS RUSH = GOAT Nice! My college band was named GOATMEAL. I know, it's not exactly related, but when GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) became a common expression, I realized that my college band name was almost prophetic-a band name that we created a year before I met my wife and years before our kiddos. Interesting, I think that was Jeff Neismith's day of birth as well. I'm the old guy, I came along back in May of that year. The distiller of Limavady Whisky is also a 74. I searched for All the World's A Stage 30 years ago just to have the entire album as a track was left off the CD. For me it was Tom Sawyer from A Show of Hands playing on the video screens at Turtle's in Chattanooga, and i rented the video then, and dubbed the audio. The Mission is still my go to. Oddly, The Pass was the 1st track in a mix last night.
Wonderful stuff, thanks for sharing! Show of Hands was my first live Rush album. The energy of Big Money blew me away. Before I got to see them live, I listened to Neil's drum solo over and over. I played it for a fellow drummer from our drum core, and he was like, "That's one guy?!" So many memories organically spin out from these decades of listening, sharing, and seeing Rush. Rush is over. I don’t think there’s a need to entertain other drummers. Some seem to think Rush ended when Neil passed. It ended when he retired in 2015. We were lucky enough to get that last tour. Neil didn’t want to do it. He did it because Alex said his arthritis was getting worse and didn’t know how much longer he could tour. This is why Alex has not toured and has concentrated on studio work; like that with Envy of None. And if you are honest with yourselves, Geddy’s voice was waning on the last couple of tours. Compare R40 to R30 album. I’m not being negative or mean. He’s older and his voice strained to hit some of the notes. So I think Neil had it right when he called it a day. We are lucky enough to have had this fantastic music for decades. And I’m thankful we have.
I share similar thoughts in the follow up R50 Encore video. Thank you for writing. Eric (Loudboy) R50 Encore Part 2: th-cam.com/video/gP63RZa4wGM/w-d-xo.html RUSH 'N' Music Playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLCPBN8CIHaJnk9XPYhwOn7NYfnPnt5blf.html Official TLE R50 Site: aretherra.com/2024/11/16/rush-r50
Mike is a boss. He also taught at Berkley School of Music I believe. Of course, John, John, and Mike Portnoy attended there. Growing up in New England, I played in the school band since the 4th grade. I was a drummer for the first few years and then switched to the saxophone when I inherited our family "Naked Lady CONN" the tenor version of Charlie Parker's alto sax. With sax in hand, I traveled to Boston with our school jazz band and performed in a competition at the Berkley Concert Hall. But I digress. Thank you for your lovely note and for dreaming along with me. Seeing Geddy and Alex play live, just one more time would be amazing. Of course, I know it will not happen, and probably shouldn't, but there's no harm in dreaming. Right? :-) Thanks for the nice note. Please stay in touch. More Rush videos are in post-production now. Thanks for watching bud! I'm working on a new Rush video now, with more "planned" for the near future. It's such an amazing honor to be connecting with you guys! Cheers, Eric (Loudboy)
Hey Loudboy, I am like you, a devoted Rush fan and historian. I loved this presentation. My musical life is divided in two eras: before I heard Rush, and after. Suddenly all other music was boring to listen to (until Dream Theater came along). Happy birthday Rush! I've always thought Portnoy should join Rush, but I think he would clash too much with Alex. How many times have you listened to DT's live cover of the Necromancer?
Hey bud, it's so awesome to hear from a fellow Rush AND Dream Theater fan. I remember where I was when I first heard both, and each time was a musical era before and after, as you so perfectly described. Thank you for reminding me; I need to revisit the DT cover; it's been a while. I've made a few Rush & Dream Theater videos, and I'll continue to talk about these guys, and I need to address my 3rd favorite band YES. Here's the Rush playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLCPBN8CIHaJnk9XPYhwOn7NYfnPnt5blf.html&si=MyULgpNVi9zFTMdW
Always celebrate Rush, but they ended 10 years ago, R40 was the last milestone of the band. There will never be another band like them, they were too unique and a strange concoction that will never be again. It's been 10 years, Lee and Lifeson will not be putting any kind of succession band together and the Rush legacy remains untarnished. Just throw on your favorite album and be grateful the music and memories will live on forever. RIP Professor
They should Absolutely do a tour honoring Neil. Mike Portney would be perfect. I was in a Rush tribute band for a year. The hardest job ive ever had doin geds parts. All geds parts!! Are drummer looked just like neil, and absolutely killed it!! I just couldn't commit to it working full time and had a family and other commitments. But i will say my time in the Analog kids was So fun!!
That's awesome! Analog Kids? Great name. Long before I had the honor of singing Ged's parts for Rush songs in my band, I was singing along to Rush, Yes, Dream Theater, and Living Colour. Being a singer since childhood, from church, where I learned 4-part harmony, a community boys chior, and singing Mozart's Requiem in Latin, twice with a symphony orchestra, strangely enough, all helped prepare me to sing rock music. If I could go back now, creating a dedicated band to cover Rush sounds amazing, extremely challenging, but very cool! Thanks for watching and sharing your story. I don't like the idea of a tour with Portnoy. But how about one show? Or even one song. Remember when Jason Bonham played Kashmir with the rest of Zep? It would be pretty cool to see something like that happen.

Yeah I dunno... I think it's best to let the legacy be what it was. What would be more interesting would be have Ged & Alex do a studio record with Steve Smith. Not Rush. New music. But you would get a Rush essence . Steve Smith is a smoking drummer who can play Jazz, Rock and Prog. Don't know if you heard some of the things with Vital Tech Tones or GHS - Gambale, Hamm, Smith... I don't believe those lineups ever toured. But I think you would have a record that is not Rush... but a cool new prog/rock record where Ged and Alex do what they do... and Steve Smith just killin it with those 2. I can almost guarantee that would be outstanding.😅
Thank you. I need to educate myself about Steve Smith. I have a few topics jotted down when I sit before the camera to chat with you guys, but I never know exactly what I'm going to say. I don't know the full extent of my improvised recording until I watch it on my Avid system when I'm editing. Actually they could have the Geddy and Alex experience. But the only drummer that they could possibly use would be Tim Alexander from Primus. he did an incredible tribute to rush and play the whole farewell to Kings album along with his bass player and guitar player. They nailed the Masterpiece every night on tour as a part of their second set. I mean it was absolutely incredible to experience. They are second greatest Trio ever course I'm talking about the guys in Primus Les Claypool Larry Lalonde and Tim herb Alexander. He did just leave Primus and maybe that is why and his next stop will be the drummer of the Lee/ lifeson experience. There's nobody that can perform Neil's drumming better than Tim Alexander. I seen it with my own eyes just amazing besides Les claypool's voice I felt like I was seeing Rush When I closed my eyes. He is in my mind the best drummer the past 30 years. And I don't think anybody's worked harder on their ability as a drummer and created more mind-blowing drum beats then Mr Alexander. He's been blowing people's minds since he was 24 years old in 1989 that was when he entered Primus..... now he's 60. it's just astounding what he has meant to my drumming career and the influences had on me as a human being and there's been a lot of great drummers from the 90s. Tim Alexander and Danny Carey are the best the past 30 years. I mean nobody plays linear drumming better than Tim does and nobody layers drumming better than he does and he is a triplet master. So yeah that's the only guy that could take the seat of the professor. I saw Primus open up for Rush on the roll the bones tour in 1992 in New Orleans greatest concert experience I've ever witnessed. And already by sailing the Seas of cheese Rush obviously had great respect for Primus. Never thought that there would be anybody that could be a drummer that can step up and fill the seat of King Crimson and play his incredible drumming of Bill bruford but look at what Danny Carey has done. That's how I feel about Tim Alexander when it comes to playing Neil Peart drumming.I believe Tim Alexander would be the better drummer and Clear Choice to fill in for the Lee and lifeson experience then Mike Portnoy.
Dude! Fantastic stuff! Thank you for sharing. Hearing of you guys, and learning about music, bands, and drummers of whom I need to be schooled has been a real education for me. I saw Primus on back in the 90s, on a secondary stage, possibly the Horde tour. (Black Crowes & Blues Traveler were headliners) I've always had great respect for Les and his band. Was it Primus that had a Bari Sax at one point? As a sax player, when I saw this, I was impressed, because I played with our band GOATMEAL. Thanks again, Eric (Loudboy)
Unfortunately Neil Peart was exceptional for rush. It would not make sense to have him replaced. It was that time and place however they had a Great run but time to retire. I saw rush many times and want to remember the trio as they were.
I never thought or said that Neil could ever be replaced. I expand on this subject in detail in the follow up video: R50 Encore Part 2: th-cam.com/video/gP63RZa4wGM/w-d-xo.html Thanks for writing, Eric, Loudboy RUSH 'N' Music Playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLCPBN8CIHaJnk9XPYhwOn7NYfnPnt5blf.html Official TLE R50 Site: aretherra.com/2024/11/16/rush-r50 th-cam.com/channels/Hg4pVEL5ZXi6CdQAvKplGg.html
A big NO! to the Mikes from DT with Rush. What in the hell would Portnoy do with any song after Moving Pictures? He has said in the past they heavy keyboard stuff turned him off (so says they guy in a band with one of the greatest keyboardists around). And, Portnoy is not an electronic drums kinda player. So I would love to hear him pull of a song like Scars, from Presto. I get it, he did the whole Cygnus and The Sea Monsters tribute to Rush thing, but that's about all he should do Rush related. Stay in your lane, MP! And I love Mike Portnoy. A brilliant and very creative drummer, performer, artist, and organizer. A very strong band leader. But, c'mon..... And I don't think Mangini would even be interested. He's tried the whole filling in for the previous guy before.
Well said my friend. When I talk to you guys on camera, it's totally unscripted, improvised, and off the top of my head. Often I don't fully know what I said until I play it back on my Avid system during editing. I'm sitting down and talking to my friends and fellow Rush fans, and sometimes nutty ideas come to mind in the moment. Anyway LOL :-) I discuss this further in R50 Encore Part 2: th-cam.com/video/gP63RZa4wGM/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching and writing! I get the want to celebrate R50, but no tours, please. Also the t shirts and the pin box from Backstage aren’t good quality. I miss Rush, but I don’t want to see them as Rush without all 3. I love Geddy and Alex doing their own things now though.
I completely agree. I address this subject in full detail in: R50 Episode 2: th-cam.com/video/gP63RZa4wGM/w-d-xo.html This is a painful topic to discuss, and I get emotional on camera, which I wanted to avoid in Episode One. Guys, yes, when I get close to 2112 length of my Avid timeline, I try to cut my way to this time. It's a frame game. TH-cam will round up or down the frames to state a final video length. I've found that if I upload a video that is 2112, it'll say 2113. If I cut to 21 minutes 11 seconds and 16 frames, it'll display 2112 on the thumbnail. I haven't figured out exactly how it all works, but I've found what works to nail 2112 when I'm able to get there. I never start out by trying to achieve this time. However, during the edit, somehow magic happens along the way, and suddenly I'm close enough to try for 2112. For example, my latest video about Rush References in Mystery Science Theater 3000... When I started editing I had too much extra material, 13 minutes too much. When I cut this out, I was in the 2112 ballpark, and I had to go for the home run of this important Rush number. God, I miss them. They've been such a big part of my life for 40 years.

Me too.🇦🇺💎⛏️
Hello Rush Fans!

Twenty one minutes and twelve seconds; perfect!!
🙂

I cry every time i see a rush clip on here and this is no exception,
Neil passed away on 7th jan 2020, at that very same time RUSH passed away too, cant believe its 50 years, WOW,
saw them for the first time 48 years ago, Still got all their work and listen daily,
Thanks RUSH will always love you 🙏⚘️🇬🇧🇨🇦
I had the chance to read
Ged’s book it was amazing.

There is no RUSH without NEIL. I would support the LEE/LIFESON band

Props for making the video 21 minutes and 12 seconds long.

@@keithlaidler7350 I also saw that Signals lazer show -after smoking a joint - it was great

My brother and I literally wore out a vinyl copy of "All the World's a Stage"

Geddy, Alex, Neil = The Trinity of GOATS
RUSH = GOAT
Nice!
My college band was named GOATMEAL. I know, it's not exactly related, but when GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) became a common expression, I realized that my college band name was almost prophetic-a band name that we created a year before I met my wife and years before our kiddos.
GOAT + (MEAL) The initials of my wife and our first three kids:
Mel
Ethan
Ayden
Landon

I played it for a fellow drummer from our drum core, and he was like, "That's one guy?!"

Mike the master Mangini would be the perfect and only one who would fit for a tribute band with Alex and Geddy
Right? :-)
Thanks for the nice note. Please stay in touch. More Rush videos are in post-production now. Stay Tuned.

Love you Neil!!❤
Damn..Tim Alexander would be ideal! I'd like to try lol!

Won't be a "Rush" tour.. but theyll probably be a here and there show
I ankle skated too!
LoL I grew up in New England and I'm lucky to be alive given how I would fall every time I stepped onto the ice on skates. I've won awards for downhill ski racing, but ice skating?! Forgetaboutit. 🙂

I found it MOST Interesting that the length of this video just HAPPENS to be 21:12
I've been an Avid editor for 30 years. I mention this because if a timeline length gets close to 2112, I have to make it make it happen. Several of my gaming videos, and a handful of my Rush videos are 2112 long.
Thanks for writing. Keep in touch. Eric

Could someone tell me where the "Green Genie" at the beginning is originally from ? I've seen it before, can't place it.
The Snakes & Arrows Live Blu-ray / DVD. It's the "cold open" before the main menu, and the menu is Alex's green head smiling, etc.

Anyone notice that the length of the video is 21:11 ?
I did! 😉 This is the latest Rush video with a length of 21:12. There are others across my channel. When I get close to 21:12, I cut seconds, and frames until I get there. Here's the Rush 'N' Music playlist as an example: th-cam.com/play/PLCPBN8CIHaJnk9XPYhwOn7NYfnPnt5blf.html&si=Y1HcJqFOVxZBGTfY
I think there's a couple of my Zelda, and Fortnite videos that are 21:12

Thanks again, Eric (Loudboy)
borrowed his mom's Pinto - luckily it was one of the ones that actually worked
LoL! My grandmother had a brown Pinto. You could say it was a real TURD! 🙂
Unfortunately Neil Peart was exceptional for rush. It would not make sense to have him replaced. It was that time and place however they had a Great run but time to retire. I saw rush many times and want to remember the trio as they were.
I never thought or said that Neil could ever be replaced. I expand on this subject in detail in the follow up video: R50 Encore Part 2: th-cam.com/video/gP63RZa4wGM/w-d-xo.html

A big NO! to the Mikes from DT with Rush.
Anyway LOL :-)

I get the want to celebrate R50, but no tours, please. Also the t shirts and the pin box from Backstage aren’t good quality.
I miss Rush, but I don’t want to see them as Rush without all 3. I love Geddy and Alex doing their own things now though.
I completely agree. I address this subject in full detail in: R50 Episode 2: th-cam.com/video/gP63RZa4wGM/w-d-xo.html
This is a painful topic to discuss, and I get emotional on camera, which I wanted to avoid in Episode One. But I go there, and talk about Rush being over, even though I shed a couple tears on camera.
I have a first-time reaction to Neil's new book, Silver Surfers, and I am pleased with its quality, as well as the two mugs I unbox from the Backstage Club shipment.

Too whoever made this video... You couldn't have added 1 more second to make the length 21:12??? Missed opportunity .Disappointing.
the thumbnail says 21:12. It's a vagary of YT publishing.
@lindsaynewell6319 well my thumbnail says 21:11.
