    You can buy the "paper" at local craft stores (if yours carries it). Wal-Mart, Amazon, and some etsy sellers offer it as well. Just do a search for "Ink Jet Shrink Film".
    You can protect your images as well www.goestores.c...

    If you use a hole punch it will be big enough. It will shrink but you can add jump ring in the small hole still.

    The shrink dink paper can be bought from Hobby Lobby, if you use hobby lobby use the 40% off coupon, I recently bought 3 packs, 6 sheets a pack and it was around $30. As far as putting images together I can't do that, but there are groups on facebook that have people that will create sheets for you and have premade sheets. Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and Amazon are sites I know of for buying the shrink paper.

      When you take them out of the oven I [place them on a flat surface put a piece of parchament paper on top of it and lay a heavy book on it till it completely cools. This will cause it to flatten out if it doesn't but it back in the oven. I have to bake mine for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes

    I've been working with inkjet shrinky dink, is there a right side to them when printing and whats the best sealer for it?

    • @nicholetoler126
      @nicholetoler126 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use Mod Podge Acrylic Sealer in a spray can, I spray 1 coat let it dry over night and then use the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic to give it a clear coat. Let that dry for 24 hours also. You can use more than 1 coat but use a very small amount or it will cause the ink to run.

    I can't find the inkjet film anywhere in my hometown :( And when I look online (Etsy, Ebay, & Amazon) it's like $12-$13 for a package! I looked at my local Michael's & couldn't find it. Any other good recommendations where to find it? :)

    • @nicholetoler126
      @nicholetoler126 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Use Hobby Lobby and the 40% off coupon, I got 3 packs for around $30 shipping included. If you are searching on Amazon look for the Graphix brand, its the same brand on the video. It is a little cheaper than the regular shrink dink brand and it is the same exact thing.

    Question:
    There are many video on TH-cam for advanced users of shrink film. I am a beginning shrink film user and I have been having some difficulty finding answers to my relatively simple question and I was hoping you may help me.
    I am using the inkjet type of shrink film manufactured by Grafix. My image editing software is PaintShop Pro X6. I have learned the importance of timing the heating process to avoid deteriorating the brilliance of the colors and have been getting very good results.
    The issue I am concerned with is the fact that the inkjet inks are water soluble! The objects I have created are durable but only as long as they do not come into contact with water.
    A few of the object I created were heated too long and the colors yellowed. In stead of discarding these objects I decided to see what would happen if I exposed them to water.
    I discovered the inkjet printer ink is completely water soluble and the image completely washed away leaving the blank plastic.
    Interestingly enough the plastic was not yellowed. Excessive heating causes the ink to yellow not the plastic.
    My question is how can I seal the surfaces of my finished artworks so they are impervious to water?
    The instructions on the package only indicate that a polyurethane sealer can be used.
    Some videos show a clear powdered embossing enamel being applied using a heat gun.
    Would you recommend this method or some other?
    I would appreciate your advice and please do recommend products by name.
    Thanks for you time
    Sincerely,
    Perry

    Did you ask ChloeIsABunny if you could use their drawing "Kawaii Carrot?" Just cause you can find it on Google images doesn't mean it's free use...

    • @AlottaBoulchit
      @AlottaBoulchit 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Craftinistas Well then does that mean I can take the photos of you and your family from your social media accounts and adorn myself in hairbows and trinkets using your faces as long as I'm not selling them? Since you put them up on the internet and all!!1one Just because an artist puts their work on the internet does NOT mean that it is free to use however you please unless the artists states that their work is free use. You can try and toss cliche comments around all you like but they're still stealing someone else's work and you're excusing theft behavior. Shameful.

    • @lucinda547
      @lucinda547 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well idc if you put my face on hairbows although that's really unusual.😂 And if artists didn't want people using their work they would ask not to use or ask for permission. Or they would put a watermark on their art. And don't shame me. I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm just a 13 year old girl expressing her opinion. Shaming me does nothing but waste your time. No offense.😬 I'm not trying to be rude here 😊😑😂

    • @AlottaBoulchit
      @AlottaBoulchit 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Craftinistas This is even worse, you're just a kid who has literally no idea how the world works. This explains your "opinion" so well! When an artist uploads their works to their sites and galleries it IS by default not to be used without permission regardless of water mark. You shouldn't give your "opinion" on things unless you actually know what you're talking about.

    • @chloeg7638
      @chloeg7638 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +AlottaBoulchit You're right. Using someone's drawing without their permission IS illegal.
      Just because something is on the internet does not mean it's free use. There's a thing called Copyright.
      I'm an artist, but I'm not that Chloe XD

      Nichole Toler do you use any special kind of ink? because i did print with my computer printer and it was liquid rather than sticking on the shrinky dinks like a on a normal paper
