Thanks for sharing. It’s great to hear from someone who’s been Stacking for a while. - I’m just nearly reaching the end of my first year and been focused on trying to build the start of my base. Started off with Tubes of Brits and now the odd 10oz Bar. Not many other bits yet. Can’t quite get my head around one ounce bars at the minute. But might change my mind. Also, have a selection of Gold to get me off the ground. Mainly Sovereigns, One Ounce Coins so far. I set a budget and pretty close to hitting target, so pleased with that. Next year might be a little different. - Lovely Stack you have. Be interested to hear if you would have done anything differently and what you plan to pick-up now? - Thanks👍
I made many many mistakes when i started , to many to mention… once I’ve completed my maples monster box ill just be buying silver bars and gold brits…
@@Stvn-gl3sh Thanks. I like your approach. Overall you seem to have a relatively well disciplined and organised Stack. Even in my short time of Stacking I appreciate the challenge of sticking to that. Well done! 👍

awesome stack dude. I'm In canada and given we have a loophole for 1 oz silver maples, THOSE are the foundation of my stack. I've been stacking for 12 years though, so I have all manner of different coins, bars and even skulls. the Maples are hopefully for my retirement.
@@philpots3216 You are wrong they do have face value. The 250g and 10oz St. Helena (East India Company, and Queen's Virtues) Silver bars have had a 10 pound denomation for many years (at least since 2021). Just look up a 2023/2022/2021 250 gram (or 10 oz) Saint Helena/East India Company/Queen's Virtues bar.
I should have a 10oz Britannia bar in my stack, but I'm rather embarrassed to say, I got scammed. First time in 10 years though, but still winds me up to think about it.
You have a nice start there Jr. I had that many 10oz. Bars 40 years ago. You have 21- 10oz. Bars . I have 17-100 oz. Bars. I seriously don’t know how many 10oz. Bars now. I know last time I paid attention I had 3- 50 caliber Ammo cans full of 10oz. bars. Each ammo can weighs 47 LBS. But I don’t waste my time or money encapsulating anything. I never once added a single Bar until I had 5000 Prospector 1 oz. Coins. Since then I have only added two monster boxes a year. And concentrated on the 10oz. Bars. Today I buy only on special occasions. And my P.M.D. Precious Metals Dealer has my phone number on speed dial. As do I have his on my own personal speed dial. If the Silver to Gold Ratio goes under 10/1 I will be trading 75% of my stash for Gold. You see as long as I trade money for money there is no Capital Gains Tax. GOOD LUCK JUNIOR.
I started stacking 15 years ago…mostly silver back then, I’m almost all in 1kg bars as the world standard seems to be kilos. Just crossed the 17000oz mark with silver and I’ve run out of room!
You have a great stack of beautiful bars! Well done ! Correct me if I'm wrong, but Eisenhower dollars were minted from 1971-1978. Only the 71-74 were 40% silver. The only 90% silver was the 1971-S .it was a collectors edition. There were some bicentennial made of 40% silver, sold directly to collectors, but most were clad metal. Keep stackin ! 😠👍
I prefer rounds so I can do a ping test. Seems like a quick and easy way to verify especially with used rounds. Don't have a sigma tester yet. I did get 2 used 10oz bars, a reputable seller, but just look off to me. So I've stuck to rounds ever since.
I do like 10oz bars just find it hard to commit to them when I can pick up 10x 1oz coins with face value for less,, pick them up when I can though, nice shiny pile👍
Great strategy collecting for retirement, something I'm doing myself. I don't own any bars tho, I purposely bought coins for the capital coins tax free reason. Is it something you've thought about? Great video BTW 👍🏽
Yea i thought about it but at the rate ill be selling, it wont have any effect on me….hopefully in 10 years when i get to 66, ill have a nice pot to supplement my pensions..and ill have a reasonably comfortable retirement…🤞
Buying silver a little below spot and selling it to stackers for a few dollars over spot has made a good living for me. Tube videos have sold metal for me. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
Hauling around couple pounds of silver, or handful of 1/10th ounce gold bars instead. Bugging out made better, if you need to deal with a down grid scenario, or any bugout situation. Every ounce would count in your pack. Silver is the better bet, for upside gains.
There is no S mint mark beneath Eisenhower’s bust, so that is not a 40% silver coin, but only copper-nickel clad. Even if there were an S mint mark, that still wouldn’t guarantee it.
Horses for courses, St3v3n. My bullion base stack (foundation) of 350 oz Ag, 2 oz Pt and 4 oz Au, accounts for 25% of my whole collection by value, but contains only one 1 kg silver bar and three 1 oz bars. No further plans to increase my base stack. Raw numismatic, exonumia and collector coins/rounds//sets/series account for another 25% of my whole collection. Slabbed coins, mostly Morgan dollars and American Silver Eagles with average value US$540 each, account for half my whole collection by value. At my age (70) and living in New Zealand, I choose this strategy for my legacy collection of history, culture and art in the form of mainly silver, plus gold and platinum. My collection 'piece de resistance' is the BANKSY FOR ALL: Girl with a Balloon 4 x 1 oz silver bars- mintage of 999. It's a copy of his 2002 stencil-work on Waterloo Bridge.
Lol, and paper will be completely worthless, no ones gonna hand in there stack to bail out the politicians, definitely not this time. The stacks will come out and play in the conundrum to rebuild a new monetary system based on God's money
Do yourself a favor, listen at 1.5 speed. And like most YTers, skip the first minute or so to get past the "like and subscribe" blather. I had also planned to stack a few thousand ounces for retirement. Never made the goal, now retired, and have no need of silver or gold as my pensions more than cover my costs. Nice work BTW
Got hundreds of britannas queens beast…gold and silver .. ive been doing this along time and i know perfectly how CGT works…and the ways you get round paying it…
It’s a nice stack but sir i think you are over paying for your silver. Just go with the cheapest 999, why buy a bar with 50$ premium when it will be sold for spot? I also love britannia coins but let’s be honest; upon selling them they will go for spot price and sometimes even less.
So you can see what spot price will be in 10 years….my my 2016 and 2017 coins are worth more than i paid for them…and we deal in £s in the uk not dollars….the brit bars i bought 4 years ago cost me £165…with your money you can spend on what you like but dont tell me whats whats ive been doing this along time…..And i notice you have no content….🤣😂🤣
@@Stvn-gl3sh Sir there is no need to get grumpy and defensive. Im just trying to understand why you would go with higher premium bars. Hence the question “why buy a bar with 50$ premium when it will be sold for spot” i didn’t mean to be offensive just want to understand your approach to your silver investment. As for silver, 10 oz is the only size bar I stack
10 Oz bars are a great foundation
And everything is built on a solid foundation
Otherwise it will topple
Before I buy any silver bar, I think how easy it will be to liquidate, Also I watch what I pay for the premium
Much safer than relying purely on a pension. If you don’t hold it you don’t own it.
