Nobody is talking about the true power of The Warfarer; Fashion's Dogma. I imagine since you can be any class at once, you can have access to all clothing and armor.
Considering we've seen a Rogue and Mage already wearing plate I'd wager that's the case for every class already, I bet it's going to be a stamina/weight balance the player has to make the choice on.
The Wayfarer feels like them addressing some of the classes from the first game. Now that you can combine classes, you can effectively remake Strider, Ranger, Assassin, Magick Archer etc.. as they were in DDDA Very cool vocation!
I love the Assassin because I can use the sword and the bow together, but Magic Archer is my favorite class. I'm betting the Mystic Spear will be my favorite in this game. I'm so hyped to use it
warfarer looks really cool I was a bit annoyed at them removing assassin since I preferred to use sword and bow but in regards to redundancy I'm almost sure they were referring to warfarer as a class like assassin does seem redundant since it was a hybrid class in the most basic sense of you getting to switch between weapons and skills of 2 vocations and had nothing else to it but now you can effectively create a hybrid setup of your own though granted it'll be unoptimized due to its less efficient stats
When you see the dragon before the logo drop it has red eyes and is seemingly emerging from a cloud of dark smoke. Then the Beastren pawn right after has red eyes and dark smoke coming off of his body. You're probably correct.
This feels like it was designed for me. As a charge blade main I love having more options to use at once. Now I could do things like combine the Magic Spear and Magic Bow to have a full Magic fighter class. Or maybe combining a faster class like thief to get in with stuff like Warrior for damage. There’s a lot of cool potential stuff and I can’t wait to learn more about it. Hell I imagine this makes trickster a lot more appealing for some people. Being able to create illusions and manipulate Aggro, only to then run in with a giant sword and mess people up
With the Warfarer we basically have all of the hybrid vocations from DD1. Wanna play OG Magick Archer? Choose Warfarer and equip a Magick Bow and a pair of daggers. I like that they are weaker compared to other vocations in exchange for being versatile. Sounds like a fun vocation for a challenge run without pawns: you do little damage and have to rely on strategy. It seems that they also don't have access to most "tier 3" skills like Maelstrom, so the other vocations are not left behind.
Depending on how they handle the vocation, it can either be the most broken one in the game, the one you always want to play outside of leveling stats, or it could also be god awful and lack any meaningful, specialized skills and bonuses.
Dragonsplague seems like it'll either be some kind of pokerus-type infection, some kind of PVP through pawns, or, more interestingly, a combination of both. For example, the pawn could be really strong while it has dragonsplague, but once the disease progresses, it, and perhaps your other pawns, will become hostile and you'll have to fight them off.
One thing to note is people are theorizing that stats will be locked to vocations, like for example in code vein when you switch classes your stats change completely.
@@nuke2099 while not proof, the website's description of the Warfarer class refers to it's "base stats" being lower. It could technically be referring to the same system as the first where the stats are raised in accordance to your vocation when you leveled (this is what led to minmaxing magic archer by playing a completely different vocation until level 200) and that the Warfarer's stats are lower if you level with it as your main class. However, that seems entirely stupid if that system is carried over now, because why even bother pointing out "lower base stats" for Warfarer if you can just raise your stats using another vocation, and then Warfarer's stats will be jacked to whatever you leveled as? The big caveat they push for Warfarer is that it's stats are lower to account for the versatility of 3 different vocations at once, so if the same system from 1 is in 2, then you can bypass this by leveling with other classes? And it's main drawback is erased? That doesn't seem logical, and while we don't have any proof, I would be SHOCKED if leveling worked the same. Not to mention you seem to earn new vocations through quests, so imagine wanting to level your stats with a Trickster, but who KNOWS how many levels you'll gain on the way to even find that class. Like imagine to minmax Trickster, you need to level Mystic Spearhand for the best stats, but you only come across it by level 50 and have leveled your stats with some other class in the meantime? I don't know a single soul who LOVED that system, and discouraging players from other Vocations in order to get your stats right does not seem like the move in a sequel. And while none of this is "evidence", I will be dumbfounded if they don't make some changes to the stat growth in a sequel.
@@swankypotato1249 Yeah I'm hoping the stats swap to being beneficial when you change. Got some hopium for that because then I can choose warrior at the start and then swap to whatever and then Spearhand and be fine.
@@nuke2099 right there with you. Actually started playing DD for the first time and going ranger recently and have been doing alot of research on how it all works, and knowing that I won't really get max stats with magic unless I commit irks me, even if it's not totally needed to perform well.
Would be interesting if thats the case. If you master 3 vocations a NPC will appear in one of the cities to announce an invite to talk with a old man that mastered all sorts of weapons, starting a quest to become like him.
I can't wait to find out how Warfarer plays. As much as i love Mystic Knight from the first game being able to build my own Mystic Knight sure sounds really awesome.
I feel like people can connect the dots on the 30fps rumours now. This was gameplay taken on a ps5 it says so in the trailer. Its running at the very least 50fps and like 99% of gameplay showcases this build of the game will be anywhere from 6-8 months old. So I think that “rumour” as baseless as it was is kinda void now.
Yeah, it was definetly reaching way above 30 fps, and I would know. I've been playing a lot of games on emulators recently and a lot of them are locked to 30fps. This is not 30fps. No shot.
@@Ilikebeatzzz I revisited some old let’s plays the other day and I found a rdr2 let’s play on taken on xbox one. That was running at 30fps and to me unless you are really attuned I could barely tell the difference becauseI was enjoying the gameplay. But even so we more or less have conformation that the game runs at the very least at 50fps it’s not locked 60fps but at least we know the game runs at it.
Yeah, the tweet that first brought the rumour to light was fake. It wasn't even a real tweet, it was just a fake tweet screenshotted and posted on reddit.
Personally unless it's so unstable the game becomes unplayable the native fps is among things that are wholly unimportant to the games quality if it's 30 its fine as long as it's stable if it's 60 it's just a nice add on there are an uncountable number of things to focus on that actually impact the game
Pawn dragon disease mechanic has been introduced that infects pawns likely when a pawn is hired and returned to the play via the server updates when sleeping at inns and camps. This new mechanic is clearly the corrupted pawns given a huge gameplay element and thus given substantially more lore! Now that I think about it, clearly is the corrupted pawn system exponentially expanded upon. And when we think of the lore in the first game I think I might know how this works! I think this outbreak starts with the first player to play solo or specifically within their pawn! And playing without your pawn long enough your pawn is wandering the rift without being also by their arisen's side leaving them to become emboldened and their personality changes to become stronger and more aggressive (technically in a good way) and once one pawn is infected like this and players hire this pawn then once in the rift that pawn infects the player pawn who hired an infected pawn leaving that pawn to be infected in other players games and if it isn't dealt with then each pawn infected will eventually turn into the dragon we see at the start of this trailer! Maybe I could be off base here! Maybe it just affects your pawn when it returns to you at random only in each players game for their respective pawn
This vocation really reminds me of that trailer for FF14 Shadowbringers with the MC just swapping between all their jobs fighting the Sineater, it looks really cool.
@@GoldenLeafsMovies Yes it's pretty much confirmed as the same VA from DDDA Grigori, David Lodge. He is reprising his role as the Dragon, whose name we do not know yet but it won't be Grigori.
Warfarer actually excites me! It almost feels like the Freelancer Job in Final Fantasy V! You can level up every job in that game, then take the permanent abilities you learn from a few jobs in order to boost the Freelancer!
This has me so hyped and concerned simultaneously, like was this the final vocation and they just revealed it, or does it having a completely different border than the other vocations on the website indicate that there's an entirely new category of higher vocations that haven't been revealed now... THE WAIT IS KILLING ME. Also I bet one of the balancing factors for Warfarer is going to be carry weight :P carrying every vocation's weapon around has to be a hefty load.
@@loikous5549 This one was not on said merch though, I personally think the new border signifies a new category of master vocations that possibly combine multiple weapons like Strider and Assassin have before, with them revealing the most general one as the introduction, as it's going to be the jack of all trades, master of none. Hopium? Of course :D
Hopium: Maybe it shows what stats you get while your in the vocation BUT it is actually distributed evenly and you have modifiers applied when you change vocation. I truly hope it is like this, it would put an end to the endless debate on minmaxing
As a newcomer to this series… I hope this is the case. Leveling up another class to get the stats I want for the class I ACTUALLY want to play… absolutely terrible game design decision imo
@@MrSmexyPain Well even if it is like I said, if they still have the augments system you might want to play a bit of some other vocations for getting some useful passives. But at least it would be way less committal than actually getting stats. Also a lot of people will tell you that you should not care about character stats because endgame gear give you so much stats it barely matters. But... What am I suppose to do when I don't have access to these gear yet?
@@loikous5549 that’s the same logic people use with Diablo 4 and other games. Like it’s a right of passage to play through the shit parts of the game and earn the privilege to have fun.
@@MrSmexyPain Then again you do not need to min max. You can do other things and come back later if you struggle on a quest. Also it is an action game so you can compensate your lack of stats with your own skills and tactics. I'm actually okay with using other vocations to get some passive buffs. Maybe if I play a class I think I might not like, then I would discover that I actually like it. But just to make sure, I do not like the commitment of stats gain tied to the vocation I'm currently using.
@@loikous5549 I love the idea of going to other vocations for skills that transfer over. That’s a great idea. I dread the idea that I might permanently “fuck up” my character by leveling a class that gives me stats I don’t want. Again… never played it so my fears might be unfounded. But that whole system just sounds terrible.
So excited for Warfarer one of my fav mods is the one that lets you use any primary and secondary weapon so i always ran around with a greatsword and magic bow so this class is perfect for how i play
My biggest concern is the leveling System with the Stat distribution, as you mentioned not neccesary to Min/Max but for defensive and Stamina stat it could make switching to other classes in late game annoying like in the first game. Oh and PLEASE MULTIPLE SAVEFILES
Stats are now modified based on your active vocation and not what you leveled as. Therfore in dd2 you can freely level as anything you want and there is no sick thing as min/maxing
@@CLARENCErr Yikes... well i can live with it, but this one is a major flaw for console players and it has nothing to do with "dealing with consequences" Im still not convinced about Stats growth being changed so that it doesnt matter anymore what class you level on, but if its still the old system having to wipe savefiles to enjoy different classes is kind of annoying.
There's a theory from the Dragon's Dogma subreddit that the stats automatically adjust based on the chosen vocation, which explains the lower base stats for Warfarer. There were images from the closed demo where the player changed classes and resulted in their stats changing (without gear stats). This makes more sense than the Warfarer getting lower stat gains. Because if the only penalty for Warfarer is lower stat growth, you can just level up using other vocations and switch to Warfarer when you are high/max level. Honestly, I prefer the automatic scaling of stats, as that would not only let you play any vocation you want anytime without worrying of min-maxing your stats but also not have to play a class that you don't like just for stat growths.
Automatic stat scaling would help a lot, otherwise, the ideal build for almost everyone would be to max in certain vocations and then swap to warfarer later to overcome the lower stat growth.
I'd love if Wayfarer had a unique stat growth that takes the highest stat growth from every vocation you're max rank on, like freelancer and onion knight
looking back at DDDA from strider to ranger vocation, ranger will only specialize at bow abilities but dagger skills will just basic at best compare to strider, now for warfarer obviously only can do basic skills for each vocations but not specialized, he is master of none so yeah might be not that op as people think
There is some pretty good evidence from the demo that stats auto relocate to stats that benefit whatever vocation you have equipped. So if you got to level 15 as playing a mage, when you switch to warrior, your stats will change as if you were leveling warrior. Not confirmed but there is some evidence for it and the way Warfarer is described, it would support this stat gain change being the case.
Warfarer is definitely a late game/post game/new game+ vocation. And we're definitely getting more vocations. I also assumed plagued runt dragon was due to the false arisen. I think it's a cool idea and I'm interested in that story element.
Rurikhan do you think the Warfarer vocation might be a first look into the weapon swap mechanic that 'may' end up in MH Wilds as well? They did borrow the tackle from MH for the GS in DD2 so, who knows.
i think i have on adea about how the warfarer will work Rui. It's one of the things that the previous game coun'd do it. For example, if you start as a mage and lern a few spells, and change thouhg warrior, you will not be able to cast your spells . Or even use a staff, anymore... But in the new class, you can use everything that you have lern previosly, but only what you have lern. And about the stats, if you will have a class to do everything, it make sense, that his status will be equaly spred. So he can do most of the things that you whant. But as a soccerer ofr exemple, he will be deliveriyng a lot more damage to enemies with his spells, because he is more focus on a single task, with is casting spells. And nothing else!
the dragon at the start looks like it has the same corruption that the cat man has at the end, they say that this is a plague for the pawns but i'm convinced that monster will get this too. it is very likely that these corrupted dragons, at the start and end, are infected with the dragon plague which is likely linked to that thing the false arisen has. warfarer could be meta, unless the nerfing was hard enough but, as we all know, Capcom's not great at buffs or nerfs. too often they overdo it so wonky results happen. i imagine the best use of warfarer will be as a support that cares less about damage skills to avoid the nerfs so like taking every support and crowd control they can't nerf to make yourself into the ultimate support for the party. unless we hear otherwise, magic attack likely won't make your illusions more convincing as trickster for instance. of course, it could go the other way so the nerfs mean nothing so it is the meta. 10:08 no, you couldn't mix skills across vocations that required other weapons, vocations with shared weapons in the original would each have their own skills set for that weapon type. he's likely thinking of passives like augments that you could use with anything once unlocked by a certain rank of another vocation. i hope it's just lower stat modifiers when you use warfarer, i don't want to be permanently punished for playing this vocation and leveling up. that would make it feel like the game is easier with more options but gives you less stats as a trade off for leveling up in "easy mode" but that's also why i doubt that's how this will work.
I think I really will love this vocation, generally I tend to play as a jack or all trades or something that is flexible in both long and close range, whole reason I played Assassin in the first game running a sword and a bow but this time I can run a greatsword and a bow
I did not understand this was how this vocation worked. As in it was ONLY specific to this vocation. I think it seems like Endgame then. Could you upgrade as a Warrior and a Sorcerer and Rogue then switch to Warfarer? I kinda like it less now. It looks cool AF but i want to max my leveling
I have a theory that they remaked the way stats grow in this game: I think you will still gain specific stats by leveling up with different vocations equipped, but I also think that vocations will have their base stats that grow with the vocation's level, that are added to your base stats: like, warrior gives +500 hp, +50 attack, but lowers your magical attributes, for instance. It would be absolutely cool as hell and it would give a real meaning to "specialized" vocations that would get an additional boost to their abilities.
Jack of all trades, master of non is what this class is supposed to come off And from what I'm speculating, yes you get to swap in between weapons limited to 3 because 3 of the 4 slots are locked to a swap weapon skill while 1 slot gives you 1 skill of each weapon which would give you 4 in total, that makes the most sense to me So it's strength is that you're not locked to 1 fighting style and can mix it up but its weaknesses can be that it's 1 skill to a weapon swap and the low base stats It still seems to have more strengths so I would also predict that core skills become an issue as well since you won't just have every core skill for every weapon meaning that you're playing with the "lite" version of each weapon you swap from, further giving off that jack of all trades, master of non feel and not taking away the shine from the single weapon vocations. I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't use the mastery art skills from the vocation masters in the game as a Wayfarer
The warfarer is basically Onion Knight in FF3. It's an endgame vocation. It's stats are low because you're not meant to level up with it, and it's a god balance since it gives us access to all weapons.
@@RiskOfBaer nope , for exemple Fighter on DD1 has Base Stats and Stat Growth For exemple, this is fighter base stats : HP 450 Stamina 540 Attack and Defense 80 Magick Attack and Magick Defense 60. They also have a stats growth based on level you can check it all on the wiki but before 10 they gain 30 hp and 20 stamina for each level for exemple Edit : The base stats never change btw and its added to the stats you gained via level up
Btw I'd like to have a stat option whenever changing vocation: A) Take the stats you got by leveling up with the vocation you had at that time (like in the original) B) have the stats that you would have if you leveled up with solely that class. So if you get your character a min maxed physical dmg dealer you'd also still have the option to play with the stats that your selected vocation would have granted you by playing solely rthat specific vocation up to that point. Idk if you know what I mean. English is only my second language so levave me alone internet 😂
I'm excited for warfarer just to have all the toys to play with. I assume the downside will be you only get like 1 point per level up to each stat. I'm also very curious about all of the vocations that we haven't seen. We're presumably missing archer and thief advanced vocations, and the trickster has two other colors that make up the background, so i wonder if there will be base classes for it. Overall this game is one of the most hype release for me within the next few months (tied with FF7 Rebirth)
I am guessing leveling as Warfarer will give you like 1's across the board as a tradeoff. However this seems like it will be autopick as vocation when you are max level, which could be a severe problem.
not sure if i vibe with the wayfarer vocation, i think its a neat idea but it'll either be something so good there is no need to use other vocations or useless there is no point in using it
Well, the fact that there are Maisters for each vocation and the fact that we'll be able to learn advanced skills from them implies that Warfarer won't have any crazy skills like the others do. It will be good at everything, but not amazing.
@@NoTAP3435 yeah but this proves my point isnt it? if the "negatives" are simple things people are not gonna mind and use this vocation all the time, but if the negatives are too severe then no one uses it and it becomes a useless vocation, this is why im concerned lol
I really hope they change how stats are leveled, because playing as one class you're not interested in for 100 levels just to optimize the class you actually want to play was kind of strange. I mean, you don't really have to, but I feel like it could work in a different way.
I think its gonna be just like Dragon Dogma 1 , every class will have a Base Stat(always is applied when you play as it) and Stats Growth (level up thing). If so , Wayfarer still have potential to be non max level class
More than likely the warfarer vocation action will be the weapon swap and you will only get 4 skills like every other vocation. And you'd likely only be able to use certain skills from vocations and not all of them!
Apparently in Japan, the name of the Warfarer is actually just Arisen ive put like 100+hrs into Dark Arisen getting ready for Dogma 2 to drop. RIP Mystic Knight tho :(
i like the idea of this new vocation you can make a jack of all trades class but you wont be as powerful as being a pure class user i think this class would work best towards the end of a game when you have played with multiple classes and you have unlocked some of the better skills or if you prefer to play without pawns this gives players that option to componsate for being alone
Looks like the assassin class from part one. If thats the case, it dhould stay with base movements from the other classes then it would be a completely op build. I'm talking from an assassin main gameplay and magic archer. It wouldn't be fare to the other classes if the this gets to use the advance move of other classes.
If lower base means leveling up you get less points as a warfarer then we would just max level as other classes and switch to warfarer. I have a feeling end game when weapons and armor matter more than levels people will want the flexibility of the warfarer. I had so many times as a warrior in the 1st game going against a wright or dragon and wished I could shoot them down because they kept flying.
At DD1 atleast Base stats means base not leveling stats ( stats growth ) , this means a fixed number that you add to your levelling stats ( for exemple fighter in dd1 had a base 450 hp, so your final HP would be 450 + all the levelling hp stats + equipment ). If they keep the same base + levelling system , them its not a Max Level Only Class ( assuming its Stats Growth is good )
Hopefully the stats on level up are a little more balanced this time around. Nothing is as big a feel bad in DD than "oh you want to be a Magick Archer? Well to actually do any damage, you really need to play an entirely different class for a long time." Like, just let me play the class I want to be and not feel like I suck because of it. Maybe Sorc gets the best magic scaling, but I pray that stuff like Magick Archer gets GOOD scaling. Not "you get the most magic defense, lol, enjoy doing no damage."
Wasn't there some shadow/zombie dragon at the bottom of the abyss in the first game, the one that required all players to whittle down its HP in their world until it died.
Was it confirmed that we can actually switch freely between vocations? I could imagine that there might be some limiting factors, at least then the class would make more sense if you're not able to just grab whatever stats and skills you like whenever you want.
vocations in dragons dogma 2 have their own stats... when you swap vocations you swap base stats (its not permanent on level up like the first game its class specific... you only get those stats while playing as that class) so when it says warfarer has lower base stats it means just that their base stats are much lower than the other classes meaning your stats across the board will be lower while your playing as warfarer. in other words... if you play as a fighter you get strength and defense as you level for example... lets say you leveled up to level 15 as a fighter... when you switch to mage it will change your stats as if you leveled from 1-15 as a mage... you WILL NOT have the fighters stats while playing as a mage... instead the stats will be changed to reflect you now being a mage.
I think the thing is the website has it updated and the class stating it's going to be weaker based stat wise, so I believe you would need to level the other classes for their skills and perks in order to balance what you want out of the class. I could be completely wrong but knowing it is weaker then a normal vocation we'll have to see.
The dragonsplague infected monster is definitely either a drake or demi dragon but in lore demi dragons are the arisen who died before reaching the dragon or against the dragon and we yet to know the lore behind drakes so I'm expecting it to be a drake and it kinda looked like the pawn at the end might turn into a drake which is an interesting idea to explain this new species of pseudo dragon popping up
I've never heard of "demi dragon" being used before. If you're suggesting that there are "naturally born" dragons aside from the ones that were Arisen, you are mistaken. All dragons and wyrmkind are fallen Arisen. As per the design documents, they turn into a specific species of dragon depending on what kind of vocation they had in life. If an Arisen falls before they defeat The Dragon, they get turned into a regular, lesser dragon. If they fall to the Seneschal, they turn into the next great red Dragon.
That's exactly what I ment just in a shorter format and a demi dragon or lesser dragon regardless of how you refer to them are incomplete by nature unlike the Gregory and I'm simply adding that there is no actual background for the existence of drakes and that transformed pawns rather than arisen are a possibility specifically for the drakes and no I was not saying anything akin to there being naturally born dragons
@@deathryder420 Alright, I misunderstood. I thought you were saying there were natural dragons aside from transformed Arisen. Drakes are also Arisen, though. They were Arisen fighters in life. Unless I'm again misunderstanding what you're saying.
@@HollowBagel I could have sworn the drakes were revealed awhile back along side some other new monsters as being entirely new creatures. If you have lore for them feel free to point me to it the background of monsters and certain locations are something I get enthralled with in these games. I love it when devs give deeper story to the things you encounter
@@deathryder420 Look up the Dragon's Dogma Official Design Works. Several PDFs online. (Also no, Drakes were in the first game, with the Wyrms and Wyverns.) It has so much more lore and context for the game. Evil Eyes, for example, are actually the eyes of dragons that they focused all their magic into, when they were on the brink of death. And how goblins are evil tree spirits born from the earth, and ogres were once a race of intelligent giants that were cursed in ancient times. Just fun little facts that weren't mentioned in the game.
Default plan is to lvl mostly Sorc and Thief/Archer so I can better enjoy endgame Sorc/MagicArcher/MagicSpear, because one must rip small rooms with max lvl Maelstrom :> Wayfarer looks excellent to eventually play more fluidly~°
I'm not sure how I feel about this. Doesn't it take away from the identity of the other vocations if you have one that can just do everything? What's even the reason to play any other individual vocation when you have one that can just bust out whatever weapon you have need for at any moment and use its skills. This feels like it would make the other vocations obsolete, and I'm kinda concerned.
the warfarer is kinda cool but I kinda wish they just had like a primary vocation and a secondary vocation so you can mix and match weapons on any vocation without the loss of strength that the warfarer apparently has. as a ranger main the thing I'm kinda disappointed with not having daggers on an archer in dragons dogma 2.
The Warfarer is literally the Onion Knight from final fantasy 3 can't learn skills but can use every skill and weapon and it looks like you can use 3 weapons at a time. This open world monster hunter is going to be amazing just like the first Dragons Dogma. Unfortunately Rurikhan I won't be watching you play this live as I don't want it to influence my play of it.
Well the Warfarer sounded very balanced to me. It says on the website that it has worse stats. So either that means terrible stat growth by leveling, which means - yes, endgame vocation. Or it gets a stat penalty by selecting the vocation. Apart from that I am speculating that this vocation will only get basic weapon abilities. E.g.: In DD there were multiple classes wielding daggers, and they all hat the same base abilities, whilst also offering advanced vocation specific abilities too. Guess the warfarer will be similarily limited to the different abilities. So I don't see any balance issue here to be honest. In Capcom I trust
I can already see me using the leap from mystic spear for my melee warfarer to get my greatsword strait to the head of a dragon. It´s gonna be glorious!!!
I believe the warfarer can only use 3 my assumption is 1 basic 1 advanced and 1 hybrid according to the images of the warfarer class on the dragons dogma 2 website
My guess is that much like the first game, some skills are going to be class exclusive, so they wont be able to use those more powerfull skills. So it balances it out
I wonder if you will have 2 different ways of leveling. 1 being your base stat which is just for your character and 1 for the vocation like in the first DD. When you swap vocation it swaps stats? I need to watch the anime again. Maybe there is some inconspicuous lore that will cary over. What does the dragon mean by watching one and etc.
I hope they bring a magic bubble channel type shild for magic type sheild haha. I feel bad when my group gets swarmed after i order the attack on 2 mpcs that call for hell lol. Not being about to block firebreath from dragons kinda sucks too😊
Literally doesn’t matter because the unlocking requirements for the advanced classes are actual quests and the vocation you play as can be swapped to any of the others at the guilds after unlocking them.
I'm not sure what to think of the warfarer, it strikes me as a jack of all trades, master of nothing type class, which I don't typically go for, but we'll see, I'll definitely keep an open mind, until I find out more.
Ruri, what are your thought's on reports the game will be 30fps on console? It's surprising to me, as Capcom has a great track record for performance options recently.
Im not the biggest fan of this class, if anything I'd have preferred that they just let you hot swop between all classes. That way everyone can play the class they want and be able to adjust to any situation/encounter. Like if you were a sorcerer in DD, you were basically usless against golems (some spells did work, but not very well tbh) and if you were a warrior fighting an enemy that is completely immune to physical damage you are a very sad boy lol At least thats my thoughts on it, hopefully they have at least improved the pawns enough to overcome/compensate these issues this time around.
Nobody is talking about the true power of The Warfarer; Fashion's Dogma.
I imagine since you can be any class at once, you can have access to all clothing and armor.
you have ur priorities right
Good to see someone who has their priorities straight
wow the fashion is going to be insane indeed
This class is the epitome of "Have your pick, any you like."
Considering we've seen a Rogue and Mage already wearing plate I'd wager that's the case for every class already, I bet it's going to be a stamina/weight balance the player has to make the choice on.
The Wayfarer feels like them addressing some of the classes from the first game.
Now that you can combine classes, you can effectively remake Strider, Ranger, Assassin, Magick Archer etc.. as they were in DDDA
Very cool vocation!
Warfarer
Exactly how I feel. I was NOT happy they separated daggers and bows. Now it’s not a problem.
Can your own pawn (and other pawns) become hybrids aswell?
If "master works all, you cant go wrong", was a vocation.
Maybe this corrupt dragon is a pawn in the final stage of the disease
That is such a good idea
When you see the dragon before the logo drop it has red eyes and is seemingly emerging from a cloud of dark smoke. Then the Beastren pawn right after has red eyes and dark smoke coming off of his body. You're probably correct.
Then you have to kill it then it dies and the pawn is gone, nice prediction
Look at how good the dragons wings look as they are fighting it early on, the light catching the veins in the wings membrane. This is crazy, so hype.
Being able to create illusions and manipulate Aggro, only to then run in with a giant sword and mess people up
Meanwhile; me just wants to be a mage / sorcerer while everybody else wants to create wombo combos xD
Atm there’s like over 40 combinations a
@@leonardbrazil5497 I like how they basically pulled a Super Sentai here. Warfarer is like the Silver Ranger that can use everybody else's powers.
@@SealedReality no idea what any of that means but hell yeah dude
I just got the silver ranger part been a long day man.
That would be what I would want personally however there's no evidence to suggest that's the case at all.
Actually started playing DD for the first time and going ranger recently and have been doing alot of research on how it all works, and knowing that I won't really get max stats with magic unless I commit irks me, even if it's not totally needed to perform well.
theres a mod for stat growth@@swankypotato1249
Seems like an endgame vocation for when you’ve gone as far as you want/can with the other vocations.
Would be interesting if thats the case.
If you master 3 vocations a NPC will appear in one of the cities to announce an invite to talk with a old man that mastered all sorts of weapons, starting a quest to become like him.

Master works all, can't go wrong: The Class.
They'd really make us play babysitter if this is true lol but I'd be up for it
This vocation really reminds me of that trailer for FF14 Shadowbringers with the MC just swapping between all their jobs fighting the Sineater, it looks really cool.
Grigori's voice actor is truly amazing! Every quote goes right to you soul
Is it the same actor?
This was the final vocation lol
I think it is the final vocation as it is a combination of the other 9 and the other nine are already on merch
@@KokotoHero-N3 my take is: since Warfarer is everything else, no need to put it on the shirt
@DANCERcow there's no proof either way but it's more likely there's more

Maybe it shows what stats you get while your in the vocation
BUT
it is actually distributed evenly and you have modifiers applied when you change vocation.
Where is this proven?
its already been confirmed only one save file, and no manual saving because they want players to deal with consequences of their actions
@@CLARENCErr Yikes... well i can live with it, but this one is a major flaw for console players and it has nothing to do with "dealing with consequences"
Im still not convinced about Stats growth being changed so that it doesnt matter anymore what class you level on, but if its still the old system having to wipe savefiles to enjoy different classes is kind of annoying.
@@CLARENCErr why on earth do they do one save files anyways?
Man that spear lunge thing is so monster hunter I love it!
It just keeps getting better honestly can't wait
That’s kinda what I was thinking as well. This could lend more credence to the idea that Wilds is including weapon swapping too
They didn't borrow the tackle from MH, MH borrowed it from Dragon's Dogma Online.
i think i have on adea about how the warfarer will work Rui.
Classes always had base stats ( Fighter had 450 base hp for exemple ) , but having it increased with rank would be cool
is that me or the ost is rotten vale theme xD?
Jack of all trades, master of non is what this class is supposed to come off
And from what I'm speculating, yes you get to swap in between weapons limited to 3 because 3 of the 4 slots are locked to a swap weapon skill while 1 slot gives you 1 skill of each weapon which would give you 4 in total, that makes the most sense to me
So it's strength is that you're not locked to 1 fighting style and can mix it up but its weaknesses can be that it's 1 skill to a weapon swap and the low base stats
It still seems to have more strengths so I would also predict that core skills become an issue as well since you won't just have every core skill for every weapon meaning that you're playing with the "lite" version of each weapon you swap from, further giving off that jack of all trades, master of non feel and not taking away the shine from the single weapon vocations. I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't use the mastery art skills from the vocation masters in the game as a Wayfarer
I literally can't wait!
The warfarer is basically Onion Knight in FF3. It's an endgame vocation. It's stats are low because you're not meant to level up with it, and it's a god balance since it gives us access to all weapons.
Site doest say that its Stats Growth is lower , just base stats
@@evans178 It's translated marketing material, I wouldn't trust what it says to this degree. It can be both, or neither for all we know.
@@RiskOfBaer nope , for exemple Fighter on DD1 has Base Stats and Stat Growth
For exemple, this is fighter base stats : HP 450 Stamina 540 Attack and Defense 80 Magick Attack and Magick Defense 60.
They also have a stats growth based on level you can check it all on the wiki but before 10 they gain 30 hp and 20 stamina for each level for exemple
Edit : The base stats never change btw and its added to the stats you gained via level up
Your past stat growth readjusts whenever your vocation changes, so no matter what, Warfarer will have the lowest stats.
Onion Knight was my exact same thught the moment he started flipping and changing weapons mid fight, goddamn and I thought I could not be more hype
Btw I'd like to have a stat option whenever changing vocation:
A) Take the stats you got by leveling up with the vocation you had at that time (like in the original)
B) have the stats that you would have if you leveled up with solely that class.
I hope Warfarer can also wear whatever armour it likes too
Gonna make me a heavy armoured spell-sword if I can
I am guessing leveling as Warfarer will give you like 1's across the board as a tradeoff.
It's literally Jack of all trades, master of none.
I'll happily take a 10-15% hit to my damage to use both a bow and a melee weapon
@@NoTAP3435 yeah but this proves my point isnt it? if the "negatives" are simple things people are not gonna mind and use this vocation all the time, but if the negatives are too severe then no one uses it and it becomes a useless vocation, this is why im concerned lol
@ab2dii467 I don't think everyone would be willing to take that hit. Drop the attack and HP a bit and there's a balance of tradeoffs.
I don't know about anyone else, but Mystic Archer is looking mighty nice!
I really hope they change how stats are leveled, because playing as one class you're not interested in for 100 levels just to optimize the class you actually want to play was kind of strange. I mean, you don't really have to, but I feel like it could work in a different way.
Man a little less than 2 months I CANT WAIT
I think its gonna be just like Dragon Dogma 1 , every class will have a Base Stat(always is applied when you play as it) and Stats Growth (level up thing). If so , Wayfarer still have potential to be non max level class
DD2 is getting a solid marketing campaign I really hope it does well.
More than likely the warfarer vocation action will be the weapon swap and you will only get 4 skills like every other vocation. And you'd likely only be able to use certain skills from vocations and not all of them!
Apparently in Japan, the name of the Warfarer is actually just Arisen
ive put like 100+hrs into Dark Arisen getting ready for Dogma 2 to drop.
If they keep the same base + levelling system , them its not a Max Level Only Class ( assuming its Stats Growth is good )
The corrupted dragon is the Gore Magala for pawns
Hopefully the stats on level up are a little more balanced this time around.
Nothing is as big a feel bad in DD than "oh you want to be a Magick Archer? Well to actually do any damage, you really need to play an entirely different class for a long time."
Like, just let me play the class I want to be and not feel like I suck because of it.
Maybe Sorc gets the best magic scaling, but I pray that stuff like Magick Archer gets GOOD scaling. Not "you get the most magic defense, lol, enjoy doing no damage."
they are teasing us heavy with this Vocation business. They've never said this is all of them revealed - so we have more to come =)
Wasn't there some shadow/zombie dragon at the bottom of the abyss in the first game, the one that required all players to whittle down its HP in their world until it died.
Sounds like a vocation designed just for me.
(Also no, Drakes were in the first game, with the Wyrms and Wyverns.)
It has so much more lore and context for the game.
This feels like it would make the other vocations obsolete, and I'm kinda concerned.
take a shot every time ruri says WAYfarer as WARfarer challenge vid time
the warfarer is kinda cool but I kinda wish they just had like a primary vocation and a secondary vocation so you can mix and match weapons on any vocation without the loss of strength that the warfarer apparently has. as a ranger main the thing I'm kinda disappointed with not having daggers on an archer in dragons dogma 2.
Masterworks arms you can’t go wrong 😂
So basically, this is the DMC 5 Dante class? That's interesting.
We are only a month away and February of this year only has 29 days because it’s a leap year so this month will go by quickly 😁
Warfarer give me Final Fantasy 's Noctis vibe.
Awww I was hoping we could switch through vocations mid fight
I thought that maybe the dragon coming out of the dark cloud. I was thinking that is the new Ur-Dragon. The boils might be the new version the hearts.
My guess is for the new job that it can switch to three or four jobs but can only use basic tier skills
weird sound thing at 14:42 and 14:55, weird lol
I hope they bring a magic bubble channel type shild for magic type sheild haha. I feel bad when my group gets swarmed after i order the attack on 2 mpcs that call for hell lol. Not being about to block firebreath from dragons kinda sucks too😊
I'm so confused. If I want to play Mystic Spearhand what class do I play with first?
Literally doesn’t matter because the unlocking requirements for the advanced classes are actual quests and the vocation you play as can be swapped to any of the others at the guilds after unlocking them.
Doesn’t matter you just need to find your trainer.
I hope this is playable on steam deck. Just got the oled version and started a new MHW play through and it’s been amazing
Rathalos in dragons dogma 2 possibly? It would be different
I hope they have multiple saves this time.
so hyped for this game!
Dragonsplague - Frenzy for pawns lol
I'm not sure what to think of the warfarer, it strikes me as a jack of all trades, master of nothing type class, which I don't typically go for, but we'll see, I'll definitely keep an open mind, until I find out more.
Ruri, what are your thought's on reports the game will be 30fps on console? It's surprising to me, as Capcom has a great track record for performance options recently.
It’s a rumor dude
The gameplay that’s shown in this video is on ps5 and it’s at the very least 50fps
This game is going to be awesome!! That is all I can say.
What if dragon's plague makes pawns "invade" other players if left un checked.
This game might be the game of the year.
Dragons dogma 1 was a walking simulator. I hope theres a mount in 2.
MORE CLASSES, LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I'm already the best Arisen !
I still to this day jump on dragons dogma just to throw my pawns off a cliff
Im not the biggest fan of this class, if anything I'd have preferred that they just let you hot swop between all classes. That way everyone can play the class they want and be able to adjust to any situation/encounter. Like if you were a sorcerer in DD, you were basically usless against golems (some spells did work, but not very well tbh) and if you were a warrior fighting an enemy that is completely immune to physical damage you are a very sad boy lol
At least thats my thoughts on it, hopefully they have at least improved the pawns enough to overcome/compensate these issues this time around.
Idk why they wouldnt say the game just takes in a different part of the world? Instead of alternate universe. Unless theres a DD multiverse
There is dragons dogma contains many parallel worlds stuck repeating their own cycle and the rift us the space used to travel between worlds
@@deathryder420 see that was along the same lines as what i was thinking
Yes, there is. It’s built into the lore of the game.
So hyped
Dragon's plague? I think they misspelled Frenzy
