Wow you gals are OCD. Unless you're folding for shipping packaging, who cares about the little imperfections when it gets stuffed in your drawer

Just because something is stuffed in a drawer doesn’t mean you shouldn’t want it to look nice, and it gets wrinkled if it’s folded like shit.

These are great.. I bought one of these months ago and I've always used it. I'm pretty good at folding clothes; however, I have OCD when comes to different shapes. This device is very helpful as a guide and it's amazing for consistency. I've seen a clear difference when it came to my closet because having all my t-shirts being thesame relative size really gives it a clean look when stacked on top of eachother. As you use it more, you get better at knowing the do's and dont's. Also, by itself the fold is only "acceptable" but as you get used to it, you'll be able to fix the imperfections of the folds relatively quick and easily making each fold quite consistent. However, you guys are correct.. it's only good when used on t-shirts really.. Moreover, I would avoid anything with a collar like a polo shirt.
Anyways, great video as always. Thanks!

I would like to point out that products like the ones reviewed may not be "the best" for people like you or me, they find an unheard niche with those with limited mobility, physical disabilities or the elderly. Think how difficult and time consuming would be for a one armed person or a heart-attack survivor to fold the same amount of clothes you did? Think about a person who finds themselves trying to make everything neat for their soul mate who is now incapable of doing any house chores? Suddenly, these "silly products" are a gift from God.
You ladies have an audience. Great! I hope that you can expand your horizons and cinsider all people (not just women like yourselves) in your reviews. I used to laugh at products like these (looking at you, banana auto-slicer!) until I witness an old man making breakfast WITH his now disabled wife, her contribution being cutting up two bananas. I still laugh at the products... but I now understand their true purpose and audience.
Anyhow, thanks for the review. Glad you did not got elbowed nor a black eye. Keep your shirts floded & wrinkle free!

After watching you two, I'm really not sold
On these plastic blue thingies for clothing to fold
If one is really inept at folding and such
Unlike the chicks, they might like it much
The one that cost thirty is way overpriced
The one that costs nine seemed to work just as nice
The biggest problem of all is easy to see
They will not be your choice if you have OCD
About wrinkles and creases on the clothes you try on
The only recourse will be to use steam or iron
I've lived on this planet for quite a long time
When I can't fold a towel, I'm at the end of my line

  • @Pyrolonn

I've been using the original infomercial FlipFold since the early 1990s. It's built like the angel fold. The plastic seams are still holding up great as well. I only use it for shirts, and a little wrinkle or sleeve that needs to be tucked in is not an issue. Towels and pants don't save time or aid in stacking. The best thing isn't that it saves time, it might for me since I never really learned to fold the old fashion way, and I'm good at it, no the best thing is having a perfect stack of shirts that you fit nicely into a closet organizer drawer. Just as an aside for the college student/bachelor/newbie : fold your shirts the minute the dryer buzzes, even if you use one of these folding devices you'll still have wrinkles if you procrastinate.

Absolutely a gut buster... two people trying to understand something that is dirt simple. These are meant to fold clothes to be stored not to be put on shelves for sale. OCD on display. They did a great job trying to keep from gagging! Brave ladies ... wish I had seen this years ago. Somehow I get the impression that a hand towel in the bath room that is wet on one corner and hanging just a little askew is cause for an investigation. They must have a dickens of a time with a banjo slicer and cukes... Multi colored M&M's surely cause a great deal of gasping in desperation. Which color goes in the jar first? I have to see what else they have reviewed... perhaps a button hook for those with stiff fingers.

You're right about kids especially if they watch Big Bang Theory. Sheldon has been using a folding helper on the show. considering how many issues you found with them I wonder how a person with autism is supposed to like using it. On the show it is supposed to make his folding neater than the others and show how particular he is about folding clothing. I appreciate you reviewing this. I don't think I'd asked but I'd wondered about the product many times. I wonder if the clothes pins are supposed to help you hold the clothing to the floding helper. The floding helper seems to need a little help in that area on some items of clothing.

Zip tie? That would not work as it would wrinkle the clothing. And what’s $20 if it’s an item you would be using weekly, maybe even several times per week? So I don’t see cost as a big enough difference to buy the cheap one. I’m disappointed in this review. My 5 year old could have done a better review of this item.

So we’ll see if they make use outta this or did I waste about ten bucks on a piece of plastic.

Idc if you're picky or not, these two really pointed out every little detail so that you can decide for yourself. We all buy things for different reasons, but we still want to know the full details of the product from a consumer's standpoint.

You and your friend should make your own boards! I didn’t see where her folding was much better.. OCD is a real debilitating disorder and let’s be clear neither of you have it! Just your high horse!

I would not impress you. I just hang or roll everything. Only thing I fold is towels and they get shoved in a cabinet. You two
would shudder. Those would be a “no” for me.

I think you ladies are a bit fussy. Nonetheless, as a bloke, I think it's a step in the right direction. Thank you for your review as I found it very very helpful.

Omg roflmao you can't be to OCD. First off I would not ever fold a shirt with out laying it flat and no wrinkles In the back or in the sleeves ! You did ever time ..so dont see and lie and say it's not acceptable to u. The way you layed it down folding it all wrinkled for the start was not acceptable!

you’re both annoying. you’re not happy about it because you don’t lay the clothes well and evenly. you should’ve flatten the shirts more if you want to get that perfect fold 🤷🏼‍♀️ and btw that’s a laundry folder not an iron so it will definitely not straighten up the clothes when u fold it 🙄

I don't think you need to worry so much about how the fold looks. Those looked fine! I also cannot for the life of me figure out what is wrong with the fold of the towel. It looked fine. Maybe you should re-evaluate how much time perfectly folded clothes are worth.

If you want to be picky on every little thing, yeah you are going to have issues with this. If you want to just get it done quick, put it away or have your kids to fold their clothes easily... then this is fine. Stop being picky.

I built a floder from scrap cardboard/duct tape. It still works after years and cost nothing to make. I call it "the Sheldon"

It's okay for younger kids, though, who have a hard time folding shirts free hand.

TAGS. I simply cannot deal with TAGS on anything. Clothing, towels, sheets... If I see one I cut it off. They make me feel like everything is not symmetrical therefore unbalanced. I need b.a.l.a.n.c.e.
I do use a plastic folder but I work on the other side so I can perfectly position the collar for a balanced folding of the sides.

The second one I turn the other way where I'm flipping up the solid piece and it's much easier and works much better.

If you are both so OCD, why aren't any of those shirts that you're folding actually ironed 1st?

tip is to treat it as a newspaper and remember back the bygone era of flipping thru pages. left and right and again before the final fold for completion. you can't do it while sitting down, you gotta stand up using the folder.

I used to work at Lane Bryant back in the 90s. I was having problems with my left arm and it was in a sling I got really good at folding with the folding board one handed my manager would send me up front to fold and draw people into the store. The professional board was very light and easy to use.

I'm 39 with Parkinson's and dystonia and folding clothes is difficult:,(. I'm going to try the cheaper one. The thicker plastic would be easier for my dextirty but being disabled is expensive, especially when it leads to poverty.

I’m so sorry. 🙁 Being disabled is expensive, my mother in law is paralyzed from the waist down and has been since she was 18. I have talked to her about how expensive thing are. 🙁

the first shirt was off b/c you are suppose to fold the bottom of the shirt first, you would have known that if you had looked at the paper that comes with it.

I hate it so much I wish I could just buy something new to wear everyday. Yes I know that's sad, lazy, ridiculous but I can't help it. I don't mind doing any other housework, I absolutely love vacuuming but laundry folding is a big fat NO.
