I’m a huge ELP fan, but hadn’t come across this before. Very interesting! It drags a bit - it needs to be sharper, punchier, quicker. But it was worth trying.
I am a die-hard ELP fan, especially Keith Emerson. However I am sorry to say, I was a little bit disappointed by this version, because I think its not as exciting and aggressive as the original ELP 1971.
I've heard a number of orchestral arrangements of Tarkus, and this one in particular is outstanding. But nothing will ever come anywhere close to the outrageous powerhouse trio who made the boldest musical statement to date!

Emerson was a true genius, being Tarkus his peak, no doubt. A timeless composition.

Only place in the ELP catalog where he plays a Rhodes is in "Memoirs of an Officer and a Gentleman" off of LOVE BEACH.
