She's getting paranoid. She's thinking someone is out to get her becouse she "got" so many others, she acts recklessly to protect herself thus causes problems for others then it comes back on her, then she gets more paranoid ect.. its a cycle.
I noticed that a lot in these dramas the villains always blame everyone else for their problems instead of taking responsibility for their own actions.
I kinda feel bad for Jia. Everyone is pinned against each other to either earn a higher spot or get their children to earn a high spot. It makes sense of she's paranoid, even after everything she's done

Empress Xiaoxian's daughter is "Jingse", while Ruyi's daughter is "Jingsi", with "Si" meaning "rhino", because Qianlong hoped she would be strong and healthy as a rhino (which she isn't, unfortunately). Though when pronouncing they sound the same, they are not the same name.
I think the original wording is getting lost in translation because it shows up in Chinese when you hover over the tab in the browser. I personally don't mind bc it fits the baddies, but the fact that it got lost in translation is a tad annoying
Her voice is beautiful and unique she do make Chinese sounds good. Better than those who got high-pitched voice. If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say it
I’m the opposite. I like that she has a natural sounding voice. You can tell when actresses are faking it and making their voices higher on purpose, especially in period dramas. They sound so squeaky 😬
Melissa. T Mordi yes me too! I love zhouxun’s voice, its so soothing and unique! I cannot with those actresses with squeaky voices like it doesnt make them unique, it makes them anonying.
To be fair , a lot of actresses and actors voices are dub by voice actors in period Chinese dramas to get the purest Mandarin with little to no "accent". But regardless all voices are beautiful high pitch to low.
