The amount of stress produced by IT jobs are not a match to most of the regular jobs(exceptions are there and paid well). So, it's to common to have higher salary range compared to other professionals. However, companies like Wipro doesn't provide a decent salary to the employees, especially juniors. In addition to that, compared to other professions IT employees need to work more than 12 hours in a day and get paid for only 8-9 hours(But few companies are really good in terms of work culture and pay structure).
Looks like you guys didn’t pay attention to better research on this… yes , post covid noises are all over the world but not limited to tech companies. Revenue is going below expectation so companies are trying to achieve the expected % by reducing the base pay increase on higher level employees because their payscale is huge so 15-20% increase will drag the revenue even down.. this does not mean techies are under trouble , it is just a matter of time and things will get back into where it was.. To all young techies : Don’t panic watching these type of reports.. Enjoy your work and keep learning..

That is not very new. New fields are biopharma,pharmaseucital Engineering, aerospace, automation etc. Basically these fields have more work life balance.Basically the European multinatational companies in Banglore and Europe provide better work life balance than IT.

This is very much misleading. This is not a new thing in IT companies. Most of the IT engineers don't have any plans to retire in the same company they joined. If they are not getting the deserved salary, they will move out to better companies. These companies will hire another engineer sometimes with better salary for the replacement when they have enough budget.
Media in Kerala is the worst-paid industry and almost all channels are in loss. The journalists do not have any other options or skills to move on. They express their jealousy by generalizing an email from Wipro. Wipro is not the only company in India. IT in India is well-paid and if you ask people in the West about the IT cost in India, they will say India is no longer a cheap labour IT destination

These all IT related industry will and should fall. IT is just another service sector complimenting manufacturing, pharmaceutical, to space to agriculture. But also , only a small percentage of IT are making more than what a farmer makes in India. If you look at the tax returns filed every year, you’ll know that . Around 0.5% who reside in India gets 4-5 lakhs a month (normal employees). The rest of the people get paid equal or less compared to every other profession. Not because following America or less paychecks, farming is a difficult process. People have to work harder. If India doesn't follow the west kids will migrate to the west. With the help of tech everything will move to automation in farming. Eventually there's little or less people left for such hard manual labours and big MNCs will take over.
