      He won't lose money sitting out. He received a $27 million dollar up front signing bonus in Sept. and $39 million salary for this season. That's $66 million he already received in the last 5 months. So he can afford sitting out if he wants to. Texans shouldn't in no way trade him. Top 5 QB in the league. No way in hell would I trade him. If I was Houston, I'd tell him no way are we trading you. Sit out the season. You don't trade a top 5 QB in the league.

    Texans already gave him his new contract upfront signing bonus of $27 million in Sept. Also his $39 million a yr salary, that's $66 million Watson just took you for in 5 months! I'd be pissed if I was Houston. No way would I trade a top 5 QB in the league. You just don't trade a top 5 QB. Let him sit out. The longer this drags out, Watsons own value and teams wanting him disappears quickly. Let him sit out. It's a rebuilding season anyways. With or without Watson, Houston's not making playoffs next season. I'd call Watsons bluff if I was Houston and wouldn't worry if he didn't show up. You don't trade a top league QB. No way.

    The fact that Watson blew this whole situation up in the public is disgraceful. Watson’s behavior is the opposite of a true leader and QB like Tom Brady. All team leaders have issues that pop up and it’s how you handle the situation that makes or breaks you as a leader. This is also why Watson will never lead a team to SuperBowl glory. Some players may like this egotistical power play but many others never will. This whole public tantrum will ultimately blow up in Watson’s face as he continues to show flashes of greatness as he watches the playoffs from his couch. I can only hope The Texans flourish from whatever they gain from the Watson trade.

      @OfficialJPryde 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Real clown behavior from you. Have you seen how dysfunctional the Texans have been the last 3 years, and out of touch since it’s inception? If he doesn’t want to waste his career like Andre Johnson or JJ Watt, I can’t blame him. Saying this as a Texans fan who hopes to keep him. But ownership needs to sell the team.

    • @absolutelyrandomful
      @absolutelyrandomful 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Never lead a team to a Superbowl? Because of THIS? This is a troll right?
      John Elway and Eli Manning did the same things as undrafted rookies who never played a single snap in the NFL. It was public, it was ugly, and you know what? They were right, those organizations were trash, and it worked. They now have 2 rings each, with Elway having gone to 3 more.
      Both the Colts and Chargers moved after those drafts. The Colts left in the dead of night and their best QB post 1983 was arguably Jim Harbaugh until Peyton Manning finally came along. Many in Baltimore still hate the Colts, despite the Ravens being just as successful post 1996. The Chargers went to a soccer stadium that seats 30,000. Which they couldn't fill, DESPITE GOING 9-7 in their first year there, and then going 12-4 and winning a playoff game in their second. The Spanos thought a good way to compete with the Rams for the LA market was to charge 160 dollars for parking in this little stadium. Surprise surprise, Rivers got screwed over. And now has no rings after playing in a AFC championship game with no ACL. Because he was the "nice guy" and went along with it.
      Between the Texans letting the coach be a GM because they didn't want to hire one, firing their award winning PR director right before a coach/GM search and now this? Andre Johnson came out of the woodwork to agree with Watson for a reason. Wouldn't be surprised if this ownership runs the Texans into the ground just like the Colts and Chargers, and have to either sell or move. Regardless of what you think Watson has proven he can at least play at the NFL level and I think he can absolutely lead a team to the Super Bowl as soon as he leaves this dumpster fire. Just because you think Watson is acting like a brat, and certain "team leaders" act like brats don't make them any less correct.

    • @jonathansmith4742
      @jonathansmith4742 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@absolutelyrandomful and yes, never going to the SuperBowl because he doesn’t have the internal fortitude to lead a team. For every player that likes the egocentric power grab where it’s all about him, there are 2 others that are disgusted by it. What’s worse is that they can’t speak up so the resentment will just fester and grow. Time will tell but I’m quite certain Watson will go nowhere fast whatever team he plays for.
