You do realize that you are the opposite of most Travato owners. We usually mod the hell out of the inside but don't do much to the outside. You are all about the exterior. She is looking great, can't wait to see her in person.

I would put it on for sure to protect the rig from getting serious damage from hitting a deer or anything. My friend who lives in Michigan where I’m from she had a van big like yours and hit and opossum. Luckily there was no damage to her van. It hit her front end the pumper. So ya I would get it put on. Looks great!!! Yes, I will have one installed. We have lots of deer, antelope, birds... even bears out on the road here in WY/MT. My son just totaled his GMC. His guard protected the engine but too much other damage and the pick up was old. Scott, now you need to add a light bar!!

Hey , are you gonna check out the VB suspension mod? The Pro Master stock chassis rides like a dump truck on old rusty leaf springs which causes all your interior components to work themselves loose. Do yourself a huge favor and go to air springs if you want peace in your ride long term!👍🏽
Check out “ The Fit RV’s “ channel on this! It’s a full air suspension mod that replaces that factory leaf springs for air springs! Not helper springs! You prob can do without the front suspension mod as the coil overs ride pretty decently but DEFINATELY replace those archaic rear leafs. Your rig will be happier and you’ll be happier! @ VB Suspension mods.com.
I saw a van like yours got messed up after hitting a deer. Steam came out of the front radiator which means the owner's trip is in jeopardy. But when I looked closely of all the brush guard available out there, the mounting bracket is pretty flimsy. In the event of an impact, the bracket would yield and bend in which means the brush guard will crash against the bumper. It may save the radiator though. Maybe that all we need.

I did store two folding chairs on top of the rig. Never used them. Donated them. Used giant twist-ties to secure them to the rack system. thanks for commenting.

Minimal impact, I think, Trish. At 8500 pounds another 100ish pounds on the front ain’t gonna make much mileage difference. Probably more drag on the roof with all the components up there. I wouldn’t worry about the guard making a different. Good point thought
I'm a little surprised that protection wasn't your number 1 reason. Yes, it does look cool, but it will pay for itself in just one deer strike. I had a sport touring Kawasaki for years, and installed 'tip over bars' that protected the saddlebags and engine. When my bike tipped over in garage, it landed on those bars and didn't wreck a $700 saddlebag. I hope you never hit a deer, or other larger animal, but if you do, those bars look like they will do a great job protecting your engine. As for coming up onto your windshield, I guess you could just floor it, right before the impending strike, so the bars will launch it OVER your rig...;}

I think a winch would be more useful, especially if you're boondocking with a 2 wheel drive Promaster. The new brush guard does look cool.
