GB’s Charlotte Worthington wins first ever BMX freestyle Olympic gold with history-making trick, America’s Hannah Roberts claims silver, Switzerland’s Nikita Ducarroz wins bronze. Charlotte Worthington completed a backflip 360 - the first time the trick has ever been performed in women’s competition - which blew away the Ariake Sports Park, and was enough to beat a near-perfect first run from three-time world champion Hannah Roberts, who finished in second. Switzerland's Nikita Ducarroz just pipped Roberts' American team-mate Perris Benegas to the bronze medal.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games took place in Japan, from July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021.

UK here. Along with Triathlon, this was the highlights of the Games for me. Charlotte's reaction to her score, the agonising wait for the others to finish, and Hannah Roberts' gracious acceptance of the Silver. I must admit, I was skeptical of BMX Freestyle in the Olympics, but this, plus Sky Brown in the Skateboarding, completely changed my mind.
Tony, if watching triathlons is your thing and you live anywhere near to the NW of England, then you should pop over to Bolton on Jul 2 and do what I do every year: I spend virtually the entire day watching the UK Ironman. With the possible exception of Xmas Eve it's my favourite day of the year.

The term 'casing' or 'casing out' is a term drawn from dirtbikes. If you go over a log or something and the bike hits the tree on the bottom of the frame between the wheels, if the frame wasn't there you would be hitting the 'crankcase' of the motor. The term has been stretched to include landing short on a jump.

Сегодня в очередной раз убедился, что лимит на легионеров приводит к краху российского футбола. Предлагаю всем кто хочет, чтобы наш футбол развивался пересылать это сообщение. Надо всем дружно перестать ходить на стадионы, и не смотреть трансляции по телевизору пока не отменят лимит на легионеров. Пустые стадионы, нулевые рейтинги по матч ТВ очень сильно ударят по клубам. Они потеряют деньги с продаж билетов, потеряют спонсоров и многое другое. В футбол вливаются огромные бюджетные деньги, которые пилят чиновники. Их ничего больше не интересует. Им не нужно развивать наш спорт.
