i love how this isnt a ghost story with a ghost as the villain. it's about a woman who had an accident and forgot certain things and the ghost trying to make her remember :D

Always enjoyed this film. The atmosphere and build up of tension in this film is incredible, and Michelle Pfeiffer is captivating.

i think she forgot because of a combination of the physical trauma of the accident and her brain giving her short term amnesia to cope with the psychological trauma. this is clinically proven. short term amnesia or in her case, selective amnesia is a sort of survival mechanism of the brain by blocking out traumatic or very stressful memories. and the ghost of madison frank from the beginning, was trying to make her remember. i mean the words on the mirror pretty much spelled it out: "you know" (as in you know everything, you just have to remember)

One of my favorite movies and my dream house. ❤

I feel the same way, I love old school suspense and I particularly love a good ghost story. The Spencers' house is also my dream house- old and solid but light and airy at the same time. My husband and I dream of turning our current home into our dream house, but it sounds just as exhausting as Claire makes it out to be!

One of my favorite thrillers. Everyone involved did a great job with the film. It took me a few watches, but one of the things that might be missed is as the camera goes down at the cemetery her face can be seen in the snow as the picture fades.

The most amazing interesting fact I recently learnt, the screenplay was written by Clark Gregg.
The very same actor that become the beloved Agent Philip J Coulson in our Marvel movies! 😊

I saw this movie in theaters in middle of October in the year 2000 here in Germany. I remember it like it was yesterday! Because I had no clue and wasnt expecting that much to be honest…and after that movie I was impressed like hell! Maybe it’s Because I have experienced stuff like that too, but in a good way! Those things exist!

Please watch Bette Davis and Joan Crawford in the psychological thriller,
"Whatever Happened to Baby Jane." (1962)
One of my all-time favourite movies even though it's before my time.
It reminds me a bit of "Misery," but there are more layers to it.
One of the best psychological thrillers ever made.
Bette Davis is, of course, outstanding, not at all what you'd expect from a 60s movie

@@terribanks8633 it really is, which is a shame. I've always loved it. Stir of echoes was overshadowed quite a lot by the sixth sense, it would be good to see some reactions to that as its equally as good. Another little known one is the skeleton key with Kate Hudson.

Less talking, more thinking...Not to be rude particularly, but so many interruptions keep watchers from being able to enjoy most aspects of the film-vibes...so important for this type of film. Sorry.
However, your actual reactions are honest and worth the time.

Less imposition and more discretion - not to be rude but your short attention span should be rectified before watching ANYONE's review. Sorry. However, there are reactors who do as you please - giving you the generic oh! ah! and untimely gasps - do give them the 'misfortune' of your subscription and time.

I hadn't seen this movie for a long time and I forgot how much I like it. Another Harrison Ford movie I feel you'd really like is Presumed Innocent (1990), based on the novel of the same name by Scott Turow, who was a lawyer. It's a legal thriller with an intelligent story that keeps you guessing until the end.
Also, books and ouija boards aren't inherently negative or evil, they're tools and like everything else they're neutral . What we get out of them is predicated on what we bring to them. We can't experience something if we don't share a vibration with it. ✌🏽💜

Glad you liked this one and sorry I only was able to see the end of your live reaction. Such a eonderful idea that the ghost was there to save the wife and wanted revenge on the one that killed her. If you like movies with an unexpected twist ending you should see the movie Ring around the Rosie though it is a horror movie just letting you know and it's intense as well.

I love watching your reactions, especially the suspense movies. Seeing the wheels turning while you try to figure it out is great. Robert Zemeckis made this movie in between making the first half of Cast Away and the second half where Tom Hanks looks very different. You know it's a good movie when you can watch it again and still enjoy it when you know all the secrets. I see some good suggestions for you to watch. I would recommend Dead Again with Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh, made when they were married. Also Shattered with Tom Berenger. A couple of movies that are rarely seen now....both from 1991. Keep up the great work!

I saw this in theaters when it came out back in 2000. I was 12 at the time and my cousin and I just was making fun of the movie and being loud the whole time (stupid kids) and a young couple about 3 seats down from us couldn't enjoy their date to which I am TRULY sorry to ruin their experience/date. I re-watched this movie later in life and it is a fantastic one! Thank you for your reaction, new subscriber! I hope that couple got a refund...
