wow! I don't think I realized until now that I take very good care of my shoes -- I have 20+ year old shoes that are still in really excellent condition. even my shoes from the 1990s are in great shape! I'm grateful my father used to have me shine his shoes -- I learned how to take good care of these items long ago.
Älskar sådana här klipp. Så roligt och intressant att följa processen. Jag blev dock lite åksjuk av snabbspolandet. Skulle föredra hårdare klippning och normal uppspelningshastighet.
I really you worked on shoes from the US..I have a pair that needs work like this...I haven't seen anyone in the US that got the uppers looking like new...most cobblers here in the US seem to just repair the soles.
Great video, thank you! I have a question: what made this leather crack so badly? Did the gentlemen not use shoe trees? What is your advice to prevent that cracking? I have C&J Coniston boots in the same leather
A pair of C&J is north of £400 these days. Well worth a bit of money to keep an old pair going. If you wear a pair daily you're going to need a resole even of rubber soles in 18months.
Who told you water is bad for quality leather? That is wrong. If dirty or salty water has penetrated the leather you have to water wash it. Just make sure you moisturize it after with a lotion and finish with shoe cream. If the leather is cheap and full of chrome, water might bring out the chrome salt and create ugly salt stains.
If you just did the uppers you made them look a thousand times better. With new soles they should last another 100 years. Great work WOW.

It looks nice, looks fine. But wouldn't it be easier to buy new shoes, without all these unnecessary troubles? Or to make new shoes?

I can't understand why he's using water to wash the shoes? Isn't it dangerous for leather? So many opinions about this.
