Incandescent bulbs have been illegal in California for a while. Bought some on eBay but the state would not allow them to be shipped to me. If I want bulbs that don’t blind me and use a tiny bit more energy, that should be my choice. There are incandescent bulbs that have burned 24/7 since 1900. We live in a system of greed. Imagine buying a bulb and just needing to replace the filament every 100 years, who profits? You do! It’s time we end their polluting unsustainable ways. WE THE PEOPLE WILL SURVIVE AS LONG AS WE STAY AWAY FROM THEIR NEEDLES.
Hey apparently you guys were at the same presentations I was! It was the first conference that my wife and I have been to and it was great! You probably saw me, I was the only amputee there.
For some of us that chicken thing gunna be pretty dang hard doing it for the 1st few times. But when I'm hungry, I'm gunna be so thankful i learned how to do it. Thank yoi for sharing this whole video ❤
The frost line, also referred to as the frost depth, is the depth at which the groundwater in soil is expected to freeze. Frost lines depend on an area's climatic conditions, including the heat transfer properties of materials in the ground (such as soil) and nearby heat sources.
Growing up in the "olden days" my family raised chickens, ducks, pheasants, and guineas. They sold them live to fancy-eating restaurants. I always loved watching the babies hatch. We only killed the chickens. Ringing the neck is a good skill to have. I was squeamish about eating an egg that had not yet been laid. I didn't want to know which eggs they were. My dad used the expression, "running around like a chicken with its head off," often. He'd laugh. I didn't think it was funny because I got attached to the hens.
What is not cool about the video? Culling of a chicken? You don't see it happen....if you are watching video, then YOU KNOW it's coming. Sorry if that is disturbing to you, BUT this is a homesteading video. This is one of the humane ways of culling a bird.
@ASimpleLifewithChrisTara It's not morally wrong but it's sad. It needs to keep being sad. There shouldn't be laughing going on. Imo. The chicken had to feel panic and that's a sad thing. Imo.
I loved this video! I learned something new! Stacy is the bomb. My daddy had a composting toilet in his cabin. He had one that separated the urine from the poop. The urine went into a juice bottle. He used sawdust for the bucket. It worked well, but I didnt like dumping the pee jug. 🤢 I guess Im an old fashioned out house gal, at least until winter. 😆 Have a blessed day!
Not an out house type of person lol....im always too afraid of snakes. NOT A SNAKE PERSON 😳...I CAN DUMP all day long so long as no snakes involved lol Thanks for watching...and was so nice to finally meet you 😊 Tara
Stacey is the GOAT!
Had to look up GOAT, lol....but yea, you're right

You really should put a trigger warning on this video. That's not cool.

The crowd was just amazed of how quick it happens. Sorry
@ASimpleLifewithChrisTara It's O.K. TY for apologizing. I apologize, also. People react in different ways to something like that.
God bless
