Man, I have been playing guitar for 30 years, Kirk is my damn hero, I wish I could afford one of these! It's my one wish to have an authentic Kirk Hammett ESP KH-2 guitar before I die. Just 1. I would cherish that thing more than anything else I've ever owned or ever will own. I love the purple sparkle so much. Damn man. Whoever won this is a lucky guy.

a darker fretboard would look so much better on this guitar
The early models had dark macasser ebony fretboards..I have one and u are so right.

Bought one of these recently... advertised with PAU FERRO fretboard.... pictures showed the same. ( PAU FERRO )
Guitar arrived , has a dark mahogany fretboard ??
Any ideas as to why a mistake like this was made ?

Hi Jon. Pau ferro is rather unpredictable in its lightness or darkness. The wood you're referring to is actually rosewood (not mahogany), which pau ferro resembles in some ways. Anyway, your guitar has a pau ferro fingerboard.
@@espguitarsusa I understand they can be a little unpredictable I have seen five or six different people do demos on TH-cam using this guitar they were slightly different on the fingerboard but not a lot and they all of them looked nothing like mine mine is actually black....
or maybe I should say extremely extremely extremely dark brown but everybody I've showed it to everybody says it looks black.... I saw I also have the White zombie Kirk Hammett guitar on that one the fingerboard totally matches the advertisement as pau ferro.. I put that guitar aside with my purple sparkle camera model not even remotely in the same atmosphere not even remotely close one on purple sparkle guitar is looks black the one on the White zombie guitar totally pau ferro. ...my fingerboard on the purple sparkle guitar looks not even remotely close to any of the six or seven people using it on TH-cam.... My fingerboard is the same color as it is on Kirk hammett's White zombie and purple sparkle guitar....looks literally black and I love it I was going to sell the guitar actually cuz of the lighter color fretboard but it showed up black so I'm keeping it.
I wish you had an email I would love to send you detailed pictures so you could see this for yourself... . I really do I want to show you the pictures.. I promise you it's nothing even remotely close looking fingerboard to all the ones everybody else has on TH-cam
