- A common way to preserve a bale is to bind it with net and then wrap it in film. But what happens when you bind the bale with film and wrap it using the unique 3D Wrapping technology? KUHN does the test! Both the forage quality as the cost side are considered. Featuring a FBP 3135 Baler-Wrapper combination.

Is there a option of both net and film wrapping? Net for hay and straw and when i want silage i could use film?

The 3D wrapping is interesting, but with film binding probably unnecessary.

With film binding, extra film is placed on the rounded side of the bale. With standard wrapping each layer overlaps in the middle of the flat sides. By using 3D-wrapping, the film is better distributed and proportionally more film is placed on the outer edges of the flat sides, and these edges are the most vulnerable parts of the bale.
