Tornado occasionally goes through Shalford station when it does it's mainline trips. Tornado is my favourite train and I have seen it at Shalford station, the watercress line and the Bluebell line. I once saw an A4 called Bittern, it was at the watercress line and afterwards I watched it take forever to be prepared to be transported to the Bluebell.

if you want your steam trains to go faster than you are getting them to go you need to keep your throttle at full and start your train with your reverser in full forwards than slowly make your way down towards your neutral position but never reach 15% forwards for optimal speed and efficiency

It might help if you wound the reverser back to 50% and then to 36%

Dude, to get the most out of a steam engine, you've got to work the regulator as well as the throttle.
Plus the water vales.
