- The drama between Vshojo and Nux Taku seems to be over, but there's still quite a few people who deserve an apology.
I'd like to point out that I intended the focus of this video to be the inaction of Vshojo and the people who suffered as a result. If you want a more thorough and detailed account of the clusterfucktastrophe, there are a couple Vtubers that I believe covered the situation far better than I ever could and I highly recommend you check out their channels!

Would just like to add that Sakii called Flamenco on his stream (he has a video up on youtube including the call - FlamencoTV) and she said VShojo has known about this since March. They didn't even have any basic protection like an automated e-mail for applicants to let them know how they would be contacted should they be successful or what info would be asked for. Just rank incompetence.

There is no way they will publicly own up to this,not with their massive international event coming up. Nux seems fine with letting it go so I’m fine too. There’s still a bunch of details that the public will never be aware of so I’m fine knowing that all parties agree to put this behind them
This is exactly what i was concerned about this whole time. Not the dumb drama but the fact that random vtubers coul've been killed because of vshojo's narcissism. And honestly i think no one else is talking squarely about that only because everybody's afraid to be sued by vshojo.

Good on you man for speaking up about this, the simps are letting the nastiness of some of those talents go away just because the CEO made a tweet about “clarifications”. He didn’t clarify anything instead only passing the blame off to Nux entirely 🗿
I hope things get better for him, he was only trying to help the community.

@@dagdorod now that Vshojo & the girls succeeded in gaslighting a victim trying to shed light to the situation (while lying on Vshojo’s behalf because he didn’t want Vshojo cancelled) they all want this swept under the rug. Never trust corporations. Join cooperative talent teams/companies, executives can never be trusted, let alone an ex-Twitch exec.
My opinion:
The apologies don't deserve to be private because how public everything became.
Side note:
Zen is the only one who made a legit apology. Still deciding about Froot and Mouses. Everyone else including some others are quiet, come across as fake, don't really mention Nux or hint about him.
Last thoughts:
Nux was treated unfairly, and yes I'm aware of his moving forward video. However Vshojo, most of the girls, and other parties left a bitter taste.

Honestly, after the vile shit that came out of Nyanners and Vei's pixelated mouth with complete disregard on how their community would become a swatch of piranhas attacking Nux, I won't even be watching clips of them anymore, their apologies are as two-faced as their actual persona nevermind them drudging up personal shit about Nux.
Gonna be a while before I even consider Melody again which really stings as she was the first Vtuber I came across and really admired for her personality and attitude, the fact she turned on Nux that fast after all he's done for her and knowing that she was directly involved with the video makes her even worse.
Mouse, Zen and Froot have hit a sore spot and after some pretty bad shit of theirs has come to light which I'm not saying here, gonna make it difficult for me to watch them the same way as before.
To be even more brutally honest, the fact VShojo have shown their incompetence and corruption after only being established for a year really does not inspire hope for the future and frankly I couldn't care if it got cancelled at this point.

What came to light about zen and mouse? Know about froot and that typical dependa scenario, so unfollowed, but don't know what you're referring to with the other two.
Others not included in these three though, including snuffy, proved to be garbage though, both privately and in this scenario.
@@matteoxyz8402 Zen made a public apology on Nux's moving forward video on Twitter. Mouse's twitlonger and public "apology" comes across as scripted. That and some things said on Twitch, she didn't throw shade, but she said "we're all new at this". I could me misinterpreting this, but if she means new to having fame with twitter that's BS. Froot's apology is more 50/50, it kind of seems genuine, but doesn't really apologise to Nux. I know she said it was done privately, but I don't believe it deserves to be. Like I said it's my opinion wish no harm to anyone, except the real villians of this whole thing.

EXACTLY! I’d like to thank you for what you said in the last part, everyone is going back to be happy-go-lucky right now, but if some indie vtuber died because of the swatting, their families would definitely have taken legal actions not only against the scammers, but also against VShojo for their negligence and their incompetence, and things would definitely have gone uglier than how it went. It’s no excuse to say that you wanted to conclude investigations privately if there’s a high possibility of streamers getting shot by swat teams because of these scammers, and everybody should feel lucky and thank the heavens that no one has actually died from this.
Melody has a lot to answer for considering the fact that she stabbed Nux in the back after all he has done for her as a friend.
According to nux, everyone has already answered and we'll have to accept that; he said we're not going to get any closure on the matter.
@@StickmanMook That may be what Nux wants, but the fact that some of the Vshojo talent hasn't publicly apologized to Nux over this shows their terrible character. Zentreya at least made a public Twitter post on Nux's thread personally apologizing to him. So have a couple others, although their apologies were more suspect. But to date as of 12/1 today, Hime, Snuffy, Projekt Melody and Silvervale have not publicly apologized.
And Nux even said most of the girls apologized in private. That's not all, that most. And even Silvervale has gone out of her way of blocking people on Twitter who she deemed were toxic. She even blocked FlamencoTV, and he never contacted her on Twitter. She did this during a live stream of his.
I'm sorry, but the majority of these girls, to me at least, have shown their true colors. It's sad and pathetic.

@@josephzeug3891 thing is we now know that nux and vshojo have had a bad relationship for months now. Something happened between him and mouse that put a rift between them and most if not all the girls recoiled from him. He still however uses their avatars for clickbait as he sees fit so im sure theyve had it out for him for a long time and this doxxing situation provided the perfect oportunity for them to dogpile him.
Mouse said something interesting that leads me to believe these girls are afraid to beef with nux due to his channel size but in this particilar situation they clearly all got together and agreed to slander him openly. Betting on their collective fanbases being strong enough to cancel him. All of them focusing on how he claims to be a friend but does things for clout at his friends expense is the proof that this was agreed on in advance.
There is no universe where i'll believe these girls dont understand the influece they have on social media. They had a goal with those tweets and would have succeeded if only gunrun and phoenix didnt drop the ball so hard on their end. I dont think the girls are evil but theyre definitely the equivalent of a college sorority. God bless zen tho, she must have been very uncomfortable with this whole situation. She owned up and acted with grace and probably isnt getting the best of looks inside vsj these daya
Ahmad, Mousie did apologize. However she was upfront that she had some issues with Nux, in which, she didn't talk to Nux to clear the air. She did talk about it in one of her streams, and she addressed this at lot, but to me...while she did apologize, she tried to rationalize what happened and what she was thinking. Part of it came off as insincere, or if she's never had to own up and apologize before. She was trying to explain the situation, and at the same time she was still defending her friends actions of attacking Nux. And that's what bothered me about her apology.
Again, I don't hate her, but still, I just felt she was towing the corporate line and rationalizing Vshojo's and the girls actions.
The whole situation sucks. But basically it seems like the talent was not properly informed of the video content, got mad after it was posted bc they have also been dealing with doxxing threat for most of the year, nux didnt immediately take it down as asked, backlash happens with Twitter and fan bases. Nux point was the video was important not for vshojo, but for anyone independent who is unaware of how these things occur and doesn't have an entire security team defending them from such issues. They were talking from completely different perspectives. All that said...vshojo was real quick to come for Nux throat with some very personal accusations that will never sit well with me at all.

100% agreement. I'd also like to add that, while one could give the benefit of the doubt to the other VShojo talents who've lashed out and since "apologized", Projekt Melody has really incriminated herself here as having intentionally started a witch hunt. It was revealed that she was present during Nux's discussion with VShojo management regarding the video, and it fully appears that she made no request that the video be withheld or delayed. It can't be proven that the other girls intentionally backstabbed Nux, but I see no possibility that it was not Mel's intention to put him under fire, as indicated by the evidence completely contradicting her statements. If the rest of them made a genuine mistake that they regret, that's great, but I see nothing but malicious intent from Mel from the start.
By the way, if you're comfortable revealing such, might I know who the Vtuber was affected by the SWATing? I'd personally like to go follow and support a content creator who is likely now a fellow PTSD-sufferer. If not, I completely understand! There was plenty of evidence they backstabbed Nux, in tweets they’ve since deleted, but I’m sure there’s saved drives people can find what they said. Also yes, Mel was there with the Gunrun and phe0nix, because she was also tellin Nux what to add and remove from the video before uploadin it.

People are being way too hasty to throw these specific blames at Melody.
I'm seeing people talk like they know what she did or didn't say while in that call with Nux and GunRun and ph0enix. But you don't. None of us do. We don't know what she did or didn't say while there, that has not been revealed to us. We only know what Nux and ph0enix said at that time. The only thing we know Mel probably didn't say was "no don't upload it" since it seems none of them outright told Nux not to, but that's it.
With that in mind, read her tweet very carefully and tell me where the contradiction is:
"i'm hurt nux posted his doxxing vid. he flagrantly disregarded our team's feelings & the facts our security dept. shared w/ him. i trusted & defended him, only to feel secondary to getting clicks. if he meant to raise awareness to protect streamers, he would have corrected it."
Did you find it? Because I couldn't. There's a possibility she's lying about feeling hurt, or trusting and defending him, but maybe those are her genuine feelings on it.
So we can't say she lied. What we can say is that her wording feels maybe a little too harshly against him, claiming he "flagrantly" disregarded their feelings. Which brings the argument that what she did was sort of backstabby considering how friendly they seemed to each other before, and if you feel that way about it that's a fair judgment.
Ya watching Nux basically having to bite the bullet on this situation makes me kinda sad for him, and if the vtuber that got swatted is true (haven't hear about that until now just being skeptical) then Vshojo should of instantly made a statement about the doxxer
Nux's original (now deleted video) mentioned there was a vtuber who was swatted, she also called in on flamenco's stream (highly recommend watching that). I didn't delve too much into that topic because before I recorded this I had been to one of her streams, and when the chat flared up about vshojo, nux, and her swatting she broke down and took a break; it didn't feel right for me to bring up her name so soon after seeing that.

Every time I watch turkey Toms video on what they did to Nux and their negligence and how they try to cover it up it’s honestly disgusting and makes me angry.
Also I’m one of those people who am not satisfied with the basic apologies that they were given (except for zentraya which was really good) and The lack of apology from other members.
If you called him out publicly you must apologize publicly that’s a principle and I don’t like the argument “ The apology is not for you” because doesn’t matter when you made it public you got us into Business so we’re going to be in your business.

Let's just all be thankful that we live in the timeline where this swatter was dumb enough to try and dox Nux. Otherwise, this might have ended much, much worse for everyone involved.
No hate here just my observation on the so called apology's, I've read all the apology tweets and none of them are a directly apologetic to Nux they all read like they all apologized to each other (laughable) The only vshojo girl who I've seen actually apologize on live stream was Zentreya (A real class act in my opinion.) All others really have given nothing close to a real apology. These girls only pretend to be 2D anime girls but what this shows is they are the same IRL mean girls who are quick to backstab a friend and smile about it. You know, just like the ones we all hated in school, college and the work place.

Mousey also apologised on stream, and explained that management told the girls not to tell nux about the ongoing investigation.
And that management didn't tell the girls that they allowed Nux to upload the video.
And that Melody tends to set up group calls and leave without participating.
Also, management told girls not to explain themselves publicly. Mousey went against management on her apology.
Snuffy/Vei/Nyan still acted like mean catty girls with bringing up old irrelevant stuff.
@@sickerserv I haven't watched mouse since I caught a part of Monday nights stream, I was interested to see if anything would be said but at the beginning of the stream she went on about fearing for her life and stirring up her viewers even more. I thought this was finished and behind them all at that point, so I was surprised to see her saying that. I've been following her since before vshojo, Mel as well and was very surprised and disappointed about the whole thing. I wont be returning to either of them and the three others you mentioned I never liked anyways, honestly I'll miss Mel the most. sigh

She says more than just how she was afraid. Which I agree, is not a good way to start. Or a good thing to add to the talk at all. But there's a difference between being afraid (what the girls were saying) and being in danger. You can do one without the other. It does seem like the girls were in actual danger, and none of them explained why.
Vshojo were aware of the doxers since March, but they only started to accept applications in August. So who were the doxxers targeting in that 5 month gap? They were targeting the girls. Which is why they were in so much fear.
Then Mousey defends Nux by saying "He didn't do anything about it because he didn't know, and he didn't know because no one told him".
i'm still waiting for people outside of vshojo who dogpiled onto nux to send out their own apologies. Snuffy and Yfubaby attacked nux on their own volition out of... spite? dragged up shit that happened a year ago to throw in his face while everyone else was attacking him. they saw an opportunity and went for the throat.
nux possibly compromised a criminal investigation and if anyone else was involved they were given more than enough time to wipe every byte of evidence they can and come up with a convincing alibi purely because he involved himself far more than necessary and rushed to make a video that was released and upset several of their streamers that were seemingly left completely in the dark because of vshojos incompetence to properly and clearly communicate.

While Nux already said that this situation is already over and done with, I genuinely feel this is so unfair. He got bashed for something he had every right to upload considering he was also a victim that got targeted, he's the one that had to apologize publicly for all of it and was forced into removing the video. And vshojo's still stuck up with using him as a scapegoat for their incompetence and endangering the public while not even all the girls that bashed him apologized and some that did, didn't publicly announce that they were in the wrong, just claiming that they've already talked things out privately. Overall I've never really known vshojo, only some of the girls there cause of Nux collabing with them from time to time, and now I don't think I even wanna bother trying to know about em; Guess I'll just stick to watching some hololive clips

Had vshojo been responsible and warned people how to take steps against swattings such as a general internet safety PSA, said swatting wouldn't have happened and the likelihood of anyone else falling victim to swatting or doxxing would have been significantly reduced, even if the swatter changes tactics.
Vshojo wants people to believe saki and nux were the only ones targeted by the swatters.
They probably had others in sight that they hadn't gotten to yet either. Most apologies given have been buissness apologies.
Think froo and mouse are the only ones that are genuine. Zen was a little weird and we've yet to get anything public from mel who threw nux the hardest having been the one who worked on the vid with him and the cyber chief.
Zen did the most genuine apology out of them all, it feels she got dragged by the others who were being very spitefull of him
I have my suspicions as to what VShojo's leadership said to all of their talent pool except Projekt Melody, who was actually there when the discussion happened, but since half of VSH's talent pool have apologized publicly, and they claim to have worked out everything behind the scenes, I'm letting them all off the hook for now, despite being a little wary of Projekt Melody at the moment. VSH Corporate, on the other hand, would have to seriously kiss my ass and admit to all their wrongdoing publicly before I would be willing to join them if I ever became a VTuber myself after what they did, both to Nux Taku and to all of us in the VTuber community. Fool me once, shame on YOU; fool me twice, shame on ME.

I've been a fan of Nux and VShojo for around a year and while it went down I didn't pick a side during, however now I just can't stand that VShojo. The fact they were hiring knowing about this and didn't warn is dangerous. It put alot of people in danger. I don't blame the girls specifically but I can't support the company because for endangering people lives

The utter lack of virtue from my favorite vtuber group here hit me like a freight train. This situation has more connotations than just Nux and Vshojo because they not only betrayed his trust but the trust of their shared fans as well and the people they dragged through the shit over nothing but their malcontent.

I've unsubscribed to all the Vshojo members except Zen because she actually apologized correctly, and even then, I'm not supporting any of Vshojo's future content until they do something to actually restore my faith in them as people, because they reared an ugly corporatist head that I didn't think they had. One utterly lacking the human compassion or decency I used to support.
I used to think they were the type of group that strived to pull ahead of the toxic, unthinking corporatist morals of more popular media, corporations and politicians.

Sakii Nightshade mentioned on flamenco's stream that it felt like they were all told to tweet those things, she said it didn't feel like them. If Vshojo's management felt the backlash from the fans for not releasing a PSA, they may have coerced their talents to do something like this. That or only one or two of the talents were upset, and clique mentality ensued. Nyanners, Froot, Zen, and Mouse have each released public apologies and admitted they made some mistakes, so I've resubbed to them. I don't really hold high standards when it comes to apologies, but a retweet isn't going to cut it here.

Melody surprised me the most of all this. She knew about everything and she still had the gall to go after Nux and try and publicly shame him. This might be a controversial thing to say, but this is precisely why I don't support indie Vtubers. When it's you by yourself it's hard to keep yourself in check, and when you let emotions get the better of you all your fanbase gets dragged into a drama no one wanted. It's not even about Vtubers, you can see it all the way from the start, when it was just TH-camrs. You can say that companies like Hololive are too restrictive or stifle creativity all you want, but in the end their rules and control is what maintains the healthy environment and keeps the talents in check.

You're quick to say anyone not fully against VSJ in this situation must be a simp. I beg to differ. And let's not pretend Nux doesn't have plenty of "simps" as well. He intended well overall and I think his idea of warning people was good, but it's the way he did it that could have used improvement, and it seems he may have messed up: I can't 100% confirm this but looking around I've seen a few people say the guy Nux claimed he got arrested is actually free and he got tricked, something that ph0enix suggests could be the case in the Discord screenshots in GunRun's statement.
You also say GunRun's statement was "full of inconsistencies and discrepancies and claims that contradict" other things... no? The only things I recall being wrong was like a date they had in there that may have been a typo and also originally they wrote Nux gave them 30 minutes which I think they edited to say "limited time."
Anyway, I agree given all I believe we know, it seems VSJ management and the cybersecurity people really should have warned people in some way a while ago. They could have done something like a tweet saying "Hello applicants, just a reminder that we will not ask you for your personal information in our emails," or asking them to double check by dm'ing GunRun, or something, idk. Unless they did try something like that but people are neglecting to bring it up, idk, I wasn't paying much attention to the talk about the auditions when they were going on. Because there's so many details we don't have because this was meant to be a private investigation, I can imagine that _maybe_ there are is some good reason they wouldn't have warned others, there's a lot of possibilities. But as it stands it probably is a big failure on their part.
Hopefully they do better moving forward. And hopefully the doxxers get dealt with.
I'm more so calling the people who fully sided against NUX were simps, and the situation was poorly handled on all ends. As for the discrepancies in the statement, they go back and forth between the amount of doxxers who were involved, and the timelines of certain events don't add up.

I'll also add this update: Ironmouse talked on stream some hours ago about the whole situation. She expressly didn't want any of it clipped nor did she want to keep the VOD up so it's deleted, but really I think everyone *especially* those who shit on the VSJ girls or VSJ entirely should see it. Clears a few more things up and it's good to hear it coming from her. I'm sure despite her wishes it's probably clipped and up somewhere. I also know Flamenco re-streamed her as she was streaming, though he (reluctantly) stopped at some point since she noticed and asked him to stop.

@@StickmanMook Could the timing and number of doxxers be the two different issues? You have the phishing issue and the false lead Nux revealed, then you have the wider 9 month federal investigation that Vshojo is assisting with and is most likely unable to speak further about.
They did say after neutralizing the former, they've been informing, and offering support to those potentially affected and their families while working to bridge the gap between local and federal law enforcement. Probably not easy since at some point, some of that local law enforcement may well be overseas.
@voltaicbore03 Well Flamenco didn't get all of her talking about things into his stream. He got about a 45 minute chunk of it, iirc she talked about it for like double that time. She mostly goes over what we know but she says a little more. Like I said before though I wish every single person who had a little opinion about this whole ordeal watched her speak on it and then report back and try to keep going with that "they're just evil manipulative western e-thot" whatever the fuck shit too many people are saying. I don't think the VSJ talents are totally innocent (and it seems they themselves don't either), but they aren't all bad either.
As for VSJ being a little less free with them than we thought before, yeah... I mean at least they're still more free than like the Holo girls in a number of ways.
