Wow, well said 👏 Inger Lise is fantastic. Its sad to think that she had to be 35 to be heard by so many people. She would probably have had a huge career if this was in the first season of The Voice in 2012 when she was 22/23. Its also sad to think that with her talent she is doing small and large company events, dinner shows and local musicals and also assignments such as funerals, confirmations and weddings, She has also started her own "Starlight Dinnershow" where she acts as producer, director and artist. Hope has thus been a well-kept local secret until The Voice.
There are several really great Norwegian singers with pure beautiful voices. I dont know if you have heard about Sissel Kyrkjebø, but if you have watched the movie Titanic…thats her voice through the movie.

"When I finished Titanic, I had to decide on Celine Dion or Sissel. Sissel I was very close with, while Celine had known me since she was 18, and for which I had already written three movie songs. So I felt I owed her a Titanic chance, but I could have used Sissel there. "
Sissel would’ve been a big world star if she got to sing that song, but Sissel has later said she was glad she didnt get it, cause she wasnt willing to give up her life and move to America, She had a small kid then... and she was happy she got to sing the score through the whole movie.

Fun fact
The original artist is a well known and loved Norwegian artist (Sigvart Dagsland). When he was going to make a video of the song, Harald Zwart (A Norwegian Hollywood movie director) persuaded Sigvart Dagsland to be homeless for a day in Los Angeles' most burdened areas.
Already during the first recording, the plans had to be changed. A dead man was found on location, a few meters from the shooting location.
The body was removed and investigators cordoned off the area for further investigations. Reality came very close to art.
- An absurd experience that makes a strong impression, says Dagsland
The whole thing is quite a defining experience for me. I can take off my costume and go home and take a shower and clean clothes afterwards, while many thousands live like this year after year, says Dagsland, who admits he is far outside his comfort zone.
An outsider strikes up a conversation with Sigvart and praises his voice. Sigvart thank him, while police investigators drive back and forth.
- Things happen, says Zwart about the obstacles. He and the crew quickly adapted to the police's wishes.
Later, the recording is moved to the burdened SkidRow which is inhabited by the homeless. Then Dagsland went "undercover" as a homeless person while the crew filmed with hidden cameras.
- It was quite incredible there, we had hidden cameras and I therefore went dressed as a homeless person among them and sang loudly. There were also some heated situations where people discovered the camera crew and we had to get away. But the disguise worked, and I was offered food and water by some aid workers, people offered me ice cubes, and I was taken for a homeless person, explains Sigvart.

Maybe those years has contributed to the control she has upon her voice and increased her ability to deliver the songs in the way she does now ... which to me, is a huge part of the impact she makes when she sings. It adds a lot to her beautiful voice ...
