  • Retired Intelligence Detective Gary Jenkins brings you the best in mob history with his unique perception of the mafia.
In Episode Two, join Gary as he unravels the chilling details of the attempted murder of Outfit crew leader Al Pilotto. Prepare for a story that unfolds like a mob hit orchestrated by the Keystone cops.
Gary Shapiro, Chief of the Justice Department's Organized Crime Strike Force in Chicago, and prosecutor Judith Dobkin present a compelling case. The narrative revolves around the defendants' plot to train and equip 30-year-old Daniel Bounds to carry out the assassination of Pilotto.
The intrigue deepens as it's revealed that Sam Guzzino, with the promise of two thousand dollars, a job, and increased access to his child, recruited his former son-in-law, Daniel Bounds. When Sam left town, the responsibility fell on his brother, Richard Guzzino. Taking Bounds to survey the golf course, Richard selected the 8th Tee box for the hit.
Armed with several weapons, the duo practiced at a rock quarry, eliminating the possibility of a long-distance shot due to the rounds' limited accuracy. Opting for a pistol, they devised a unique mode of transportation - a 10-speed bicycle purchased for $20.00 from a man selling refurbished used bicycles.
With meticulous planning, they conducted rehearsals, dropping Daniel off at a nearby bridge to time his journey to the golf course and back. In a final dress rehearsal, the getaway driver dropped Bounds off, allowing him to hide behind the bushes at the 8th Tee box while Sam and Richard played the first 8 holes.
Daniel Bounds was ready as the golf cart approached, but an unexpected twist occurred when the bicycle broke down on the way back. Unfazed, Bounds ran to the getaway car, prompting them to drop the bike from their plan.
This captivating story unfolds with twists and turns, revealing the absurdities of a mob hit gone awry. Tune in and share this gripping tale with your friends-you won't want to miss it.

Great story Gary. Nick Calabrese testified how strong Nick D was and how him and lil Jimmy Marcello had a hell of a time killing him. Sam Carlisi got carried away cracking him in the head , killing him. The bosses wanted to question Nick D on the killing of Al Pilato. Nick D son was glaring at Nick and Jimmy in the courtroom as he listed how his dad was killed !

Ever heard the story of Sam Carlisi trying to find out who was responsible?
Heard a lot of stories about this being an un sanctioned hit, carlisi ended up accidentally killing somebody while interrogating them about who was behind the attempt
Joe Lombardo makes alot of sense. He would’ve been the promoted one, you would think

Yes, true. Sam Carlisi got carried away cracking Nick D on the head and killed him.
