Jewel Box’ includes
2CDs of deep cuts chosen by Elton himself;
3CDs of rarities from the earliest stage of his and Bernie Taupin’s musical journey;
2CDs of B-sides spanning 30 years,
1CD of songs discussed in Elton’s best-selling, critically acclaimed 2019 memoir, ‘Me’.
The 8CD come in a large hardcover book, enclosed in an outer slipcase. Each section contains extensive notes and, for ‘Deep Cuts’, there is track-by-track commentary by Elton John.

I bought this when it came out Phil.I played disc 1 then 2 by the time I got to disc 6 I thought there hasn't been a bad cut on this yet.Got through the entire box and I thought this box set is priceless just fantastic set of songs.

Phil -a box set that you should dip into is the incredible Kathryn Williams -UK’s biggest secret 🤐 song writer! Amazingly beautiful talent who has already released over 10 albums - fits in nicely with Joni Mitchell and Laura Nyro! Box set title Anthology-has not been reviewed or unboxed by anyone on YT-she’s very special!

The earlier b sides are on a release called Rare Masters and is very reasonable in price.
He also recorded in the late 60s some Nick Drake Demos and they are on TH-cam.
Robert Fripp considered Elton John as a vocalist around the period of 1970 before In the Wake Of Poseidon was released.
Some information states he did some demos and auditioned, but that is not clear though.
Ultimately he was rejected.
