One more difference between the two is that upright steamer needs proper space where as hand held steamer can be stored in very small space.
Very informative video and detailed comparison. I’m more inclined towards a hand held steamer as it can be used during travel as well and doesn’t require much storage space.

I have purchased a steamer recently n in my experience normal irons r best... Coz u dnt need to hold it for long which gives u arm pain also sides of the clothes r difficult to steam as they r in upright position.
