What a clever idea on the flowerpot! looking forward to seeing how it turns out. About your dress; 90% of my clothing, handbags and shoes are thrifted. I even sell clothing that I have thrifted. That dress is soo pretty, you look amazing jael, can’t wait to see the flower pot once it dries, that okra recipe looks delicious 🤤 . I enjoyed the vlog as always ❤
Thank you Jael for another lovely video. The dress is beautiful and the style suits you. I hope you'll show us the outcome of the DIY creation in the next video.
Your videos create such a sense of calm which is very unusual in these social media spaces. I think kale is more frilly on the edges. It’s good that can eat off your land which seems to be very fertile regardless of the other issues. I am confident and pray that the trees and other vegetation which provide protection against any erosion. Good bless! ❤
Wonderful vlog Jael🥰. I think I had a conversation with you the entire vlog!😂. The compound is looking so pretty. Loving the collard greens. I prepare them at least 2 to 3 times a month. Think I mentioned before that I am an okra lover. In fact I have some seed from Africa. They are larger than our okra here in US. I grew up eating okra fried or cooked with tomatoes and onions. We also include corn sometimes as well. It makes a nice combination. Try it sometime and see if you like it! Waiting to see what your new flower pot is going to look like!😊. You are so creative! Being a crafty person can save you money. It’s work but so gratifying! Blessings my dear. I just know your compound is going to be awesome and beautiful!!!🌹🌺🫶🏾🌹🥰🙋🏾♀️
Hi Jael, first of all the dress is beautiful but you are more beautiful 😍 Your compound looks amazing and peaceful and the lunch looked delicious, hope you enjoyed it ❤ blessings ❤
Been following your channel for a while. I really love how you narrate your videos so calm and peaceful in your village. I wish I had seen this part of Kenya when I was there. Now lol, for okra to get the benefits you must eat it boiled. Thanks!
I love the dress, perfect for the hot summer. I have been looking for some nice flowing ones myself, being those I had is a little too small now across the chest. So hard to find. You certainly have a lot of visitors on those okras. I love when you go to harvest with your little basket. Charming 😊❤
Hi Madan Jael. It seems that the South African Okra is not slimy. Or did i see my own things😊. I always buy local ones to try out but cant get past the slimyness😂
Jael, the distinct sound towards the end of the video, is that a bird or is that an animal? Background acoustics are just fantastic; makes me think of a calming relaxed day in the rural area without the hustle and bustle of urban living. That fish-- so yummy. I love fish. looks very appetizing. Bon appetit!
Diluted Soaps and detergents can offer a relatively safe and eco friendly and easy means to control many insect pests. As with all pesticides, however, there are limitations and hazards associated with their use. Understand these limitations, and carefully follow all label instructions.
Don't worry, you didn't carry those insects. I used to see them in Mombasa back in the day. We have a variation of the same in Molo. But it's clear those ones in your garden should give us the sex-talk since they know how to do it on the okra itself!!!!😀
I once tasted okra in 2010 till now I would love to have them again. The creativity is dope can't wait. okra water has been trending driving Kenyan women crazy 😅
I tried your last Okra recipe, delicious! You are right, grows so quickly and mine are ready to harvest. About okra and the bedroom....I never heard of this here in Kenya 😂, please enlighten us. Love the dress! vintage fabric is so classic. Great Post, thank you ❤
It's actually advisable to do it the way you are doing it Jael otherwise you leave the stalk with a wound that takes time to heal delaying growth for other leaves.
@@jaelofthevillage I already do 😁. We call ours Brown Stew Fish (fried and then cooked in a sauce)....and similar to the ugali....we called ours Turn Cornmeal....but we cook the okra with the fish....not separate....and yes.....the Jamaican men also thinks it gives them stamina 😁😆
I love vintage clothes; they hold up so much better than the new stuff that's made now. I love how you grow most of your food to eat. I also love collard greens and okra; we ate it all the time growing up in USA. My Mom use to cook that dish with the okra, but she put corn in it too, it was so delicious to me. I enjoyed this video so much brought back memories,

The amount of slime depends on the cooking method used. It can get really slimmy
Thank you for another calming video, its always so beautiful, and the vintage dress is perfect.
