Jinjer is from the war torn region of Ukraine. They are Roman on guitar, Vlad on drums, Eugene on bass and Tatiana Shmaylyuk on vocals. Every member is an exceptional musician. I got to see them in Phoenix before the lock down. They are amazing live.
Lol no way pretty sure I was there at the Red Room right? Hahah good times was a great show too.
Saw them the show before in Phoenix during their first U.S. tour. Think Cradle of Filth was the headliner.

Since you two are Team Jinjer now, the vocalist’s name is Tatiana. Eugene is on bass, Roman on guitar, and Vlad on the drums. 😊 Seeing them live is so fun! And meeting them was wonderful too. Such kind and humble people.
I think the next logical step is “Teacher, Teacher”....then go straight to their newest video “Home Back”, which is about the war in their home country of Ukraine (which they fled from). You’ll find a lot of depth in their music. Excited to watch more from you two!

I was surprised they made Home Back. In interviews, I've heard them say they have no interest in politics, but it must be getting unbearable that they can't go back to Donetsk after all these years. Hopefully Kiev is close enough for now.

I got to see them in October 2019, and the definitely know how to put on a show!
In my humble opinion, and others in the Jinjer Army will back this up, Jinjer doesn’t have one bad song.
Fav’s of mine are Judgement (and Punishment) … official video or one-take vocal performance with Tati, I Speak Astronomy, and Teacher Teacher!
My favorite band and don’t sleep on the lyrics they are deep. My favorite is Outlander (failure color upload) or try Home Back if you want to see the rage. They are from Ukraine and have lost their homes to the war there (except Vlad the drummer). Jinjer is in the God Tier of Bands I have seen live since the early 80’s. Tatiana is a force on the stage you cannot keep from watching her perform.

Jinjer is the face of metal today. Amazing musicians, lead singer and stage presence. Pit of Consiousness is an amazing song.
Jinjer concerts are great. Just an amazing group of people gathered together to have a good time and appreciate insanely good music.
I've been lucky enough to see them twice and they are incredible. Amare Louvel is a reactor who did a review of the concert in Arizona he went to. Lots more from them. I'd suggest Judgement & Punishment one take vocal video. A really heavy one is the offical video Home Back about their hometown getting caught in the war in eastern Ukraine. To see a couple of black women doing similar techniques, Straight Line Stitch's song Black Veil is good even though the band isn't active anymore, as is Ad Infinitum's song Marching On Versailles.

Love all these Jinjer reactions, it's how I got to discover this band only few weeks ago! Although I can really appreciate the music in Metal, I always had trouble getting used to the harsh deep voices only, it just seemed too much for me. Jinjer has the perfect blend. Just enough of everything, and her perfect duality is just mind blowing, loove it. If only we learned to use THAT voice when it's needed. You two so cute :-)

Btw so the technique used to growl like she does: there are three types of vocal distortions commonly used in metal: false cords (the deep growls) fry scream (higher sharper screams) amd fry vocals (edgy rough singing).
False cords are something everyone has. Its a technique that rather than using your vocal cords to produce sound, as in clean (singing) vocals and talking, you are using the folds along the sides of your vocal cords by using air pressure woth excellent diaphragm control. You know that sound that aggravated teenagers are known to make, that deep UUUUUHHGG noise? Its that. Or try to bark like a big dog- uses the same mechanics.
Fry scream is produced with very slight friction on the vocal cords. It takes a lot of practice to be able to produce a healthy fry scream bc newbies will either instinctually restrict their air flow to protect their cords (thus actually causing damage) or go full out screaming which causes the vocal cords to slap together too hard. Fry vocals are similar to a fry scream, just a bit softer on the air flow. :)
It takes practice but anyone can learn.

They are the real deal. Awesome reaction! I have seen them twice and met them once. They have ruined me for all other bands, like a true love ruins you for all other women. The entire band are the absolute best at their craft. They are amazing. Check out their back story. They are survivors of the war in Ukraine with Russia and had to leave home. See their deepest song "Home Back," its bout them not being able to go home because of war. Thats the short story. My recommendation to you though is "Pit of Consciousness Live in Kyiv." This is an amazing live performance by her. Make sure it is the Live in Kyev one. You wont be disappointed. Keep up the awesome reactions. You made my night. You got a subscriber out of me! Be well!

This song is about how Tatiana gets down during the fall/winter months. Look up the Lyrics is about her talking of how there is death around (trees lose leaves, flowers die ect..) during the fall season. Amazing lyrics. Love this band . watch Teacher Teacher. If you are up for it, you can get some idea of where Tatiana's rage comes from by watching "Home Back", which is their plea to have their home back and not be homeless. There's a war going on where 3 of the 4 members of the band grew up. The official video is excellent, if disturbing. But bring a box of tissues, it's heartbreaking.

I love seeing people react to Tatjana (Jinjer singer) but I really do not like that people forget bands like Arch Enemy who existed almost 20 year and also had growling female lead singer and not that much reaction on them.
