Oh man, so far i've memorized till the minute 7:26, i'm so happy, this piece is wonderful. Many thanks for this tutorial, I always come back to it to make sure my sight reading is correct! Hope u also have a tutorial for Liszt's Liebestraum, that's my next to go 😁😁😁😁😁
Thank you Jane. Great tempo and in my opinion, one of Debussy's most serene pieces! Time to start practicing :) This seems like one of those pieces that heavily relies on the timing and emotion of the player, I hope I can do it justice! :D
You're welcome. This is one piece where memorization is necessary, in order to watch finger placement, and deliver a nebulous image of the sunken cathedral... Good luck with it!
Sorry , couldn't find request video so I put it on one of the ridiculous copyright videos. I know you'll come out on top. I requested 3rd movement Beethoven sonata 25 due to tricky timing here and there. If you could send me the link for the request video I would appreciate it. Thanks again
I’m learning this right now! It’s really helpful to see the players hands.. unfortunately my hands are small and I can barely reach the ninths in measure 14😭😭
that's surely too difficult for me :) but I do take requests. standard classical pedagogy pieces get priority. there is a 'request' video if you wish to add a request to my list
Excellent video, many thanks!
Thank you for the kind words!
thus tune is such a trip! learnin... will take me many months... but im up for it
it is :) good luck with it!
Finally! I just finished memorizing this whole piece, now it is time for Liszt, I cannot wait ;’)))
That’s an accomplishment!

Like your approach ☺️. I see you found the Liebestraum no.3. Coincidental that I uploaded part of no.1 today.

Good luck finishing the piece. My hands barely span 9 also. We’ll manage :)
Hi Jane, do you take requests? can you teach 'une barque sur l'ocean - Ravel' ? many thanks!

thank you!
Wow ! Beautiful... (The day I play that.... :) )
Thank you for recommending the superb performance by Hélène Grimaud
You are very welcome Jane. Thanks on behalf of thousands of viewers for kindly devoting of your time to teach us.
My hands physically cannot hit the ninths...
Sorry, same with me. We’ll manage 😊
@janepianotutorials did someone else in the video play it?? The hands hit the ninths
Barely reaching, that is me.
