Every time I've seen anything from the Tories anywhere near downing streets all I've been able to hear is the protesting for as long as I can remember, now the protestor is one guy shouting Reform being drowned out by cheers for a Labour PM, it does feel pretty good after 14 years of Scroogenomics.
To be fair, Jan 6th wasn't a typical event and the US is a very different country with a different system and a different history. I think sometimes, because we share a language, we're less aware of how different it is there. Political discourse has become coarser in this country too. Both Sir Kier's and Rishi's speeches were a refreshing change though.
It is a clear majority though, and we could presume those that did not vote might have fit the trend of those that did turn up. Well turnout was lower for all parties across the board of course they were gonna get less votes, there were simply less people voting. They did winner a higher % than 2019 though.
