It's a crime that no one has offered you ARCs!! You are by far my fave booktuber and those publishing houses are fools lol

so the trick is to just email publishers. You can ask to be added to their PR list or ask for specific titles or both. If you don't read ebooks you shouldn't bother with netgalley.

Glad to hear your year of reading is going well, love to hear you going off the cuff too! I'm throwing Stoner on the to-read now as well thanks to you sir! Thanks for the tag, I think I'll do this one!

    What a speedy turnaround!
So glad you did it because I really enjoyed watching 👏 Your reviews are top notch but it’s so nice to hear your reflections on reading and creating.
So much rang true for me too… funny to hear you say nice things about my content (thank you!) because every time I watch one of your reviews I’m like why are mine not this good?! 😅
And yeah, I’m always so intrigued and surprised by the number of people who unsubscribe, and what they unsubscribe in response to. As a sci-fi dabbler myself, please do continue (Hyperion is sitting on the shelf already 👀)
    Enjoy Glasto! 🔺

Hi! Came here from Ben's video. I appreciate so much that you're doing what you want with your channel, rather than sacrificing quality as some do in an effort to get more views. I saved most of the books in this video to my wishlist. Also, as a brand new booktuber who reads a bit of everything, it's good to know what to expect as far as people leaving cause you don't just stay within one genre. Thanks for squeezing this video into your schedule!

I thought I was the last one to read Stoner. I read it on vacation last week and was ambivalent at first, but wow by the end I was floored by its quiet depth. I also enjoyed the U of Missouri setting. My husband's parents were Univ. of Missouri graduates and students during the latter timeline of the book. I often visited the campus for meetings when I worked as an academic librarian and I could picture many of the locations mentioned in the novel. BTW, I really enjoy how eclectic your reading tastes are since I always enjoy your reviews, keep them coming!

I think this was your best video as we got to know how honest & lovely you are and you do this for the love books and connections.
Love that you like to hold book rather than dreaded kindle.
I have so many books , think my fear deep down is Eco warriors will protest stop paper printing , think vinyl records disappeared until back in fashion ! I do believe in Eco causes but Charity shop , pass on books etc... not land fill .That's my excuse to keep buying books (yes I've got a book addicted ) is there group to help or are they called book clubs.
Stoner is hidden somewhere in the piles books I have , so I'm hunting out now ! Just finished Rachel Cusk new book " Parade "would be interested in your thoughts . You are doing great on utube ❤

I agree, the 'crush' question stands out like a pimple on an otherwise flawless face. I'd much prefer to hear about a character who captured, engaged or emotionally captivated you, because then you would have been able to tell us more about the old man in the Murakami novel who seems to have been your 'crush' by any other name.

I can’t believe you hate your videos! I too am incredibly busy so I don’t have time to watch much booktube and because of that I only subscribe to four channels. Yours is one of them! My friends only read fluffy romance (I’ve tried but just can’t with that specific genre) so I read all these amazing books and never get to talk about them or hear other people’s thoughts and interpretations. Your channel allows me to hear a different perspective of some of my favourite books, and your videos are almost always short and to the point which is a bonus because as I said, my life is pretty hectic. The eclectic mix is great too, it introduces me to books I would have never considered but thoroughly enjoyed, like Stoner. I also wait for the Murakami novel and I also disliked Penance a lot. Penance is the attempt to write sth sinister and blamming about the true crime genre, but it is as you said so full of clichés and I hated the characters, all of them. Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll is ways better, portraying women who were affected by the life of Ted Bundy who is just called "the defendant" in the book. Tag video are questionable, yes, but this one I do every year. I never got contacted by a publisher and probably never will. They want booktubers who are 99% positive about what they get.
