Brings back old memories of the 70's as a kid when on a cold winter Saturday in Seattle the family would sit around the television (after the NCAA morning football) and watch, in order, the local wrestling from the Armory (no WWE back then), roller derby (a lot of LA Thunderbirds, SF Bombers, and Texas Outlaws, followed by Saturday Matinee of old movie classics (westerns and WW2). Thanks for posting!
Dewitt Quarles had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and did not skate in 1969-1972. He returned to skating on the Texas Outlaws vs. Thunderbirds in 1973 and was coach of the short-lived Western Renegades of the ISC in early 1974. He did not skate in 1975-1979. He returned to Roller Derby on the IRSL SF Bay Bombers in 1980 and skated his last games in 1983. Dewitt passed away on February 7th, 2002.
@@joelvarchol2873 I'm talking about to camera not staying on the action the announcer is calling. Jammer trying to score at the back of the pack & camera is on front of pack. Lot's of action missed.

Being a ref for this must have been one of the funnest "sports" related jobs ever 😂
Kezar pavilion next to kezar stadium, home of niners
Good grief.....O'Connell, Groll, Butler, Gammon, and Roman on the same team. That should be illegal.
Thanks Joe
Roller derby started in nyc and brought out to kezar
Roller Derby started in 1935 in Chicago.
So Bombers won on the final jam after clip ended?
What arena was this filmed at?
Kezar Pavilion - this portion of the game was part 3 of 4. Here's the 1st part with the start of the game: th-cam.com/video/IBGZpyKcp_A/w-d-xo.html

Camera crew did not know how to cover the game ! Frustrating !
I always thought the same thing. They spend far too much time on the crowd rather than whats going on on the track.

That must have been strange having your mother in law on the opposing team.
