I recently took the bus from Querétaro to Mexico City. Even though the tickets were bought right there at the station about ten minutes before departure, the whole experience was great, and the people at the terminal were very helpful.

If you are not Spanish-speaking, I highly recommend getting your bus tickets in advance to avoid some disconnect. I thought it was going be super easy to get bus tickets and head to San Miguel once we landed in Mexico City. After getting the tickets, we waited at the bus station with our bus not listed on the board the entire time. All of the buses with our departure time had left the board and we were just standing there anxious but every attendant assured us it was on the way. We waited 40 minutes for our bus to actually get there then we were worried about missing our connecting bus since our first bus was so late. All went well and I am glad for the experience, but it was not as smooth as it could’ve been😅 if only this video had come out a couple weeks earlier! Hahaha

Travelling on a luxury bus in Mexico is way more enjoyable and comfortable experience than in Canada (more akin to cattle shipping). Argentina provides a similar experience (as in Mexico, some bus companies are better than others, obviously).

I’m just finishing up a 4 month (4 stop) trip to Mexico. I ended up using buses to get from location to location. I was surprised by how cheap and how nice the buses were. I used ETN which was great. All but one of the trips went smoothly - 5hr delay due to a traffic issue - plan for that to potentially happen

Lovely video, Alex. Bien hecho! I do most of my Mexico travel in the Yucatan region, and the ADO bus website is similar to the Primera Plus site you demonstrated. I tip my luggage handler when loading as well as when collecting my bags. Yeah I love the bus style travelling. In Mexico from CDMX I have taken buses to Puebla and Acapulco, then to Puerto Escondido. Then a much smaller bus to Mazunte, a colectivo to Pochutla and a OCC bus to Salina Cruz. Sometimes you need to wrap up warm as they can have the AC set to Artic cold. Next week I take a bus from Tapachula to Guatemala City.

Don't ride the bus from Culiacan to Los Mochis, because you might be stopped by narcos and asked to get off the bus as of April 2024
