Blowing Ink Bubbles - Inktober "Shattered"

- For Inktober 2017 "Shattered" I discovered a fun ink bubble blowing technique! Using black India Ink combined with a bit of dish soap and a straw I proceeded to create ink bubbles which I scooped up with a spatula and smeared onto my "shattered" sketch book page. I threw in some calm music and it turned into quite a fun, blissful and relaxing video.

I've tried bubbles on clay form as decoration using glaze where you use ink😊. But I've never got it right enough to feel happy with the results, however watching you transferring the bubbles using the card may work for me too, so if it's ok with you, I'll 'borrow' this idea because I think this will work. Thankyou

The ink glitch was a happy accident because it allowed for symmetry! It looks amazing!!! I wonder what it looks like with different colors of ink.

By the end of the video were we seeing the print completely dry? I was curious if it changed at all by the time it was fully dry. Incredible idea and lovely results.
+Larry Stoecker, yes by the end it was dry. The ink lightened a little as it dried out and it dried much faster on the large piece of Canson mixed media paper I was using in the beginning then it did in my Crescent Rendr sketchbook.

I liked the video, interesting technique to try out in Inktober. To me it looked like an underwater scene with sea turtles, maybe? For you did this count as "Shattered" because you had to pop or shatter the bubbles to come up with the background design?
+Tammy Toro yes it was shattered bubbles...which was a happy accident because when you see me Open my inktober sketchbook and check the theme for that day I was delighted how well it fit what I was doing. I love art!
