My dad's friend went through a similar experience. He was a trucker at the time and his wife divorced him because of him being on the road so much. He ended up on a dating site and meeting a scammer using a female picture. He was 48 at the time and his love interest was 35 so it wasn't so bad age wise but she played the whole stranded in Miami and her boyfriend broke up with her all sorts of drama going on. He ended up wiring money to a mule and lost about 4k before he realized it's all a scam. These scammers stick to the same old stories over and over
I think that if the military needed to get in touch with you, they could find a way . That child is not your responsibility. Sorry, I love children, but mom would have more rights than you.
I feel sorry for this elderly gentleman. He was aware of the age difference and didn’t say he was madly in love with this young woman what I hear most of the time. Grief and loneliness is what the scammers are looking for and take advantage of. Thank you for sharing your story.
Always the same script.... wife cheated with best friend, has the custody of their child, born abroad but parents died so went to live in the US with an uncle, etc., etc., etc..... boring 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
It's profitable I guess to recycle stories; no matter how nonsensical the stories are, they ARE EXACTLY THE SAME EVERY SINGLE TIME You'd think people would find that suspicious but maybe it's just me.
Unfortunately scammers tell most target victims the same stories over and over. We receive about 20-25 stories a week from people and most times they are all the same. Widow, doctor, military... sick child etc. In the 14 years we've been dealing with romance scammers, the stories never change and people still fall for it.
Every word each scammer wrote was straight from the scammer’s handbook.
A 70 year old engaging in a relationship with a 22 year old is absolutely disgusting. 🤢 What is wrong with people???
Ridiculous….and money and age don’t matter……oh please…yuck…gross, horny old man!
Dirty old man...
The scam victim never said he was 100% on the level.
The military assigned him a nanny for his daughter. 😅😂😅😂
🙄🙄🙄🙄 indeed....
second story is why you keep your FB profile locked down so that no one can see your friends list. There is no reason to have that public.
You answered your own question
LOL "all the other military wives buy their husbands steam cards" 3: 😂
Favourite food, music flower and colour. These scammers obviously assume their targets are child like with weak intelligence.
Ikr? It's an insult to our intelligence, isn't it?
It always starts with 100 steam card.
Same old same old! When will people learn?

For a change, I'd like to hear a story about someone who successfully scammed the scammer.

OMG this is so weird. I'm born raised and still live in Mercedes, Texas!
When somebofy says "Age is just a number" it is not even 🚩 it is certainly a scammer 🏴☠️
2024, and the USA has no shortage of lambs for the slaughter.
