The color chart for the Salifert Cu test kit is difficult to read/distinguish once it reaches 2.0 (which is minimum therapeutic for chelated copper). Also, I've noticed discrepancies when testing the Salifert against a Hanna Cu Checker. Sometimes the Salifert is close, sometimes not. That being said, the Salifert (and Seachem Cu test) are good options for testing ionic copper such as Cupramine. That has a much lower therapeutic level (0.5 ppm), and thus is easier to read.
Some important information for folks who are quarantining their fish and are un decided what product to use. Thanks Bobby..
Great quick-guide, thank you
Why can't you use salifert test kits for coppersafe ?
