He running his guitar through an old Tascam Cassette Recorder Deck (can't remember the model numbet). The pre-amp section. That's how he gets that unique sound. He is definitely amazing and is on to something special. I'm a 71 year old musician and love this stuff. I'm always in search of the next big thing and I think I found it.
no need to protect someone who emits melancholy and emotion with no sign of revealing truth or hope. The evil that rules this earth has no problem allowing this to inspire loss and hurt amongst the people. I mean no disrespect to the artist but your statement has no weight of need.

First time being introduced to this guy today of all places in the car and “Are you looking up” comes on the radio. Then I find all his live work OH MY LORD,
I saw him on Monday in Berlin, it was soo damn goood! I didn’t have a ticket at first but got one last minute over instagram. So happy I was able to go, I didn’t want it to end. This album and a German band called International Music, who are also heavily influenced by older artists, is all I’ve been listening to for weeks and I never wanna get over it.
Breakthespell live has to be one of the most ethereal, soul bending songs I have heard in recent memory. Incredibly jealous of those that got to experience it
the live version of New Low is sooo sick!! in this performance particularly, the ending features a lot of really cool electronic-style drums that sound modular in a way… these aren’t in other performances I’ve been listening to, so cool!

This guy has taken over my life overnight - he’s an instant genius.
for real... i am having the same issue
He’s a true musical genius. Rare these days.
his guitar tone sounds like 80s electric guitar chorus and DX7 electric piano playing at the same time. Brilliant tone
Good ear man! you're pretty close in your guesstimation
i think he has some dx7 in his backing track

I love how he's playing lots of alternative live, it shows how much of a creative artist this is, he isn't in a box, he is FLOWING.
